Where did you get that info? New chipset?...
It has nothing to do with hw, it is simply OIS like in G4, but in V10 it is paired
with DIS (digital image stabilization - a software feature). FYI, V10 has the same identical soc and camera like G4...

Not DIS.. it's EIS.. electric image stabilization.. and also it works with OIS in capturing video in 1080p in "steady" option

DIS or EIS = the same thing.

Hi,
I'd like to know if there are any information about who is the producer of DHD's digital camera and optics? Like you know for example Carl Zeiss makes these for Nokia and Schneider Kreuznach for Samsung. Does anyone know anything about the DHD camera? And I don't need specs (I know it's 8mpx camera, with 720p video support etc.), I need the producer and maybe some more info about the digital camera itself.
All I know is what the camera sensor is, and it's a OmniVision ov8810 8M
You can find more about it here: http://www.ovt.com/products/sensor.php?id=61#specifications
In my DHD is samsung S5K3H1GX 8M.
Which is better samsung or OmniVision.
Regards, Ales

OK, thank you very much. Now if you could tell me how can I check whether I have samsung or omnivision, I'd be really thankful.
Best regards from Poland,
Jack.

of those two its samsung, but actually sony would be best there.
Those cool features are software only right? Would it be possible to integrate them in the future?

Yeah, it would be possible. Just start porting it over! I'll try to work on it too.
Just got my GS4 the other day, and the camera is a hundred times better than the OG. The OG is a great phone but I don't miss the camera at all.

hi all
now m with lg optimus g after using lg nexus 4 ,huawie ascend p6 and gsiii. all models are with 8mpx cam but lgog have 13 mpx ,so my question is why lgog camera result is worse then other 8 mp phones?
Because MP doesn't mean better !
Find a 6 MP dslr pictures if you can't understand or 4MP pictures from HTC ONE

untill LG does something no way to get better result..!!
Q1- Are ARMv8 / 64-bit CPUs backward compatible with KitKat?
Q2- Is there a deodexed debloated ROM I can flashed on G4 (ARM / 64)?
Some critical apps on my HTC M8 don't run well, if at all, on the G4.
G4's display and camera are far superior to M8's. The M8 running Viper, is otherwise close to perfection.
None the less, G4 now redefines convergance of a computer (with Slimport & HD desk monitor), a fine compact camera and a phone all rolled in one, ..in your pocket. It's only held back by Lollipop.
A recognised member told me "there are countless ASOP ROMs for the G4". Wouldn't elaborate.
Where can I get one please?
Your advice will be much appreciated.
Nope

That's what I thought, but the guy who told me is a very active contributor, helpful and knowledgeable.
Thank you for your reply.

Brief and to the point. Thank you for your reply.
There's a G2 camera port, is there one for the G3 too?
