HTC Desire 816w RUU, (Disconnected because service is unavailable) - Desire 816 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I want HTC Desire 816w Dual SIM 2.34.401.2 RUU
cause all I can find on the internet is 2.34.401.1 version and I have already 2.34.401.2 on my mobile so whenever I flash the 2.34.401.1 RUU I get error 132 Signature error
also when I try the Hboot (fastboot) method I get signature checking failed.
the main problem for why I wanna do this is that I get (Disconnected because service is unavailable) whenever I try to turn on mobile data I surfed the internet for a solution but nothing helped (flight mode for 30 sec. ,checking different locations for signal, checking my network provider) so I tried factory reset and it actually worked for a minute or 2 but then the connection lost and when I switch it off and on again I get the same error again so I really think that it's a software problem
I also tried my SIM on different mobiles and I get mobile data connection at once.
also can I even flash RUU without rooting or unlocking the bootloader cause I'm using the all original stuff no ROMs no ROOT not even unlocked bootloader so any help would be great.
Regards,

[Q] Require some critical information urgently for unrooting

Hello great minds at xda,
My friend too has a desire...as his phone is rebooting frequently and it's back panel is getting hot he wants to send it to service center...No issues with this
Problem----->He bought a desire from Grey market(it is generally a place in India where all sort of imported stuff which is not released officially in India is available) But no worries as phone is under warranty...So we want to unroot the phone..I tried using WWE RUU(2.2) and HTC Asia(2.1) RUU but it's not working..I get error.
The intresting thing is the boot screen animation says Virgin mobile..So I "think" that the original rom must be of virgin mobile BUT when we bought phone,it was already unlocked i.e any sim can be inserted
So if I flash the phone with Virgin mobile RUU(2.1) will it be sim locked again and do I have to purchase unlock code again???
People please reply urgently...
Current roM---Aurex Tsense8.4
Hboot 0.83
S-ON
Also if I downgrade, will there be some slcd bricking isssue???
I guess the error would be to do with the CID? Would of helped that you put the error. If you get CID error then just make a Goldcard and run the RUU again. It shouldn't sim lock once you've unlocked it.

Click to collapse
And even if it did sim-lock it, their is a sim unlock utility on the desire thread
But Meaple is correct

Managed to lock my sim

I'm a disaster
I went in to hboot not knowing what I was doing and hit simlock and now I can't get signal on my sim
I've a desire hd and am on orange uk.I was trying to use the process listed in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943726 but for some reason couldn't get the iso to boot so I started on my own and...well....*sigh*
Have since factory resetted but to no avail.....
Any help please!
EDIT: Signal now received

[Q] some problems (receipt, ROOT, warranty)

Hello once,
my DHD has been making some problems since 2 months.
Initially, it began to hang out constantly. (at gaming, navigating, ..)
Thought, maybe it's the new Rom (leedroid 3.3.3).
Tried new, different, and older Roms but brought only limited relief.
It depends on considerably less.
Now a month ago, the main problem. Suddenly, in 3G mode, no receiving.
In the GSM reception was stable.
Tried everything. Several error messages reported by the provider, swapped sim card, another Rom, another radio and other radio cells (about 400 km radius).
Nothing helped, so it should now be sent for repair.
Thought, maybe only a software error and the provider complain because the root, so original ROM on it.
Have only the Ace_O2_DE_1.32.207.1 ... signed flashed by PC over it,
without the root, the boot loader to the S-OFF or OFF-ENG or whatever was on it previously removed.
Tried ... no longer receive data/internet, but receiving it in the 3G and GSM mobile phone and SMS mode.
And suddenly one day later for a few hours normal 3G reception 2Mb/s.
But only for a few houres.
Device hangs up still occasionally in games, etc.
Update via the "System Software Update" made on 1.38.207.1 20MB (20MB Large)
He seems to have hang up again, during the update.
Since no WiFi, UMTS.
In Power, Vol-menu is still "-S SHIP OFF" and the point "Recovery" is displayed.
under SimLock "MCCMNC file fail" and "CID file fail"
Hope someone can help me further, I do not fact.
I think I have completely reset the phone to see if it really is not a software error, and then send it for repair.
Apologies for the bad (google translator) English.
Greeting
How can i set the CID to O2-Germany stock an remove the Recovery option in boot menu?
To unroot and get your phone completely back to stock:
1: Install 1.32.405.6 RUU
2: Use Visionary+ R14 to temproot, then permroot
3: Reboot
4: Use Jkoljo's Easy Radio Tool to set S-On and set the CID to the default HTC__001 (Unless your phone came carrier branded in which case the CID will be different)
5: Reboot
6: Reflash the RUU
7: Update to the latest software normally through software updates
If you have any problems while doing these steps just say and we will do our best to help
Thanks for the answer
Can I flash the HTC 1.32.405.6 without branding?
I`ve no Idea with CID or S/EN/Super-OFF I have.
Try cid-getter from the market. This one should display the right cid

HTC Desire GSM SIM unlocking Cyanogenmod 7.1

Hi there,
I'm just after a method for unlocking my HTC Desire GSM without flashing back to a stock ROM.
I'm currently on Vodafone UK and I'd like to use an Orange sim.
My phone is rooted, s-off and running Cyanogen 7.1
I've tried using HTC_Desire_unlock_v0.9.5, which downloaded from somewhere on this site.
But the phone remains emergency calls only with the Orange sim (& a US T-moble sim)
I've got USB debugging on, and I've run the unlock programme from my PC, everything seems to work - the phone reboots in HBOOT and I get the success message in the PC window. I've tried with my Vodafone sim and the Orange one.
I have noticed an error message with both sims on the unlock programme window - Vodafone = returned error 95 and Orange = returned error 31
Thanks for your help
Have you tried mentioning this in the sim unlock utility thread? It's the only utility there is
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
restart in flymode
offen this doesnt work reflash. ( do nandbackup) first
Thanks, after much reading of the unlocking thread and installing ADB drivers, restarting lots of times. I'm still not too sure if I've unlocked my phone, as I've realised the Orange sim I was trying has expired - doh.
I've ordered a new one so when that arrives I should be able to determine if I've unlocked it.

[Q] HTC ONE M8 O2 issues

Hi,so basically i attempted to root my phone, kinda decided not to after unlocking bootloader,so i locked it again, then when i try to download anything,it fails, regardless of wireless or mobile data,it wont sync with htc sync manager, just error 4, meaning i cant download or put music on my phone
So im wondering if someone can tell me how to set it back to factory rom,so it gets rid of the Super user installer, and locks the bootloader again and doesnt show its been tampered with
Ive looked at tutorials but none have worked so far
Phone details:
HTC One M8
02 network Contract
5.0.1 android version
4.20.206.1 - I cant remember what this number exactly was but something to do with the software version i believe
