Should I buy the H818 version? What are the differences between H815 and H818?
Is there any difference between H818N and H818P ?
What should I do to prevent the "bootloop issue"?
What should I know before buying the phone?
-there's no huge difference between H818N(hong kong)/P(indonesia,ukraine,etc) ,both are dual sim (i don't like dual sim at all)
-you cannot prevent the 'bootloop issue' since nobody knows which phones are having (try to get one with S/N 600+)
-make sure you get a brand new phone with warranty ,because if that bootloop issue will happen ,you are screwed w/o warranty
-overall ,if you like an amazing camera(i just love how can i play with manual mode) ,a faster phone, great download/upload speed,no problems with data ,go get one ,if you are buying for gaming ,don't.
-i just got one ,and i love it . Hope it helps
Thanks a lot. Is it not possible to fix the bootloop issue anyhow without getting it to warranty? Can normal servicing stores fix it?
you cannot fix it ,unless you have your own phone service and know things about hardware problems (bootloop issue is caused by hardware problem, maybe because of overheating and losing connection between some pieces on motherboard).
According to LG company ,they started to fix this problem by repairing all the phones with this issue. If you have warranty is ok (if you don't root the phone and mess it up) you won't pay anything ,if you don't have warranty,we all know that is gonna cost and is worthless.
Okay, I'm getting a LG G4 tomorrow. I was quite sure that If I get one manufactured in 2016, I won't have to face the bootloop issue. But then I heard people complaining about the issue even with the ones' S/N starting with 6xx. I also heard that it's due to a software issue not hardware like the previous ones.
So I was wondering what LG has to say regarding this new software problem? Should we expect a fix in the next update?Or, will I be safe if I get the phone and downgrade it to Lolipop from Marshmallow?

I am talking about the new ones. The 2015 ones had a "loose connector in the motherboard" which caused the bootloops but LG fixed it in their new phones but another bootloop issue arose but this time it's due to the new Marshmallow version of Optimus UX

are you sure about that they 'fixed' it ? Recently a phone with 603 s/n reported for bootloop failure. I'm not really sure that's a software problem caused by marshamallow because they will have know it (due to their tests on phone before releasing)

only 1 phone? Well
Well how do you know that guy didn't screw up his phone himself? Like when flashing a custom ROM or something!

I don't about the phone you're talking about but my 509 was repaired with a 603 motherboard that only lasted 3 weeks before getting the bootloop issue itself. During this time the phone was hardly used as I was waiting for Vodaphone to unlock it and I don't flash my phones.
Hi, LG changed the motherboard of my lg g4 in 3 days. I had bootloop problems with my old s/n 505. That's ok, but my new serial number starts now with 610. It's good now? Anyone with new problems s/n 6xx?
Hi all
I want to ask question before aome months i had bootloop problem in my g4 and lg's center fixed it but recently i faced burning screen on the top of screen on notification bar so did lg company know that their mobile have this problem too ? Because i'm not only one who faced this issue and i'm not using it heavy
Alaa Assi
The same thing happend to me
Yes they knew about every problem of the phone they are bunch of cons n liars for not sharing it open public there are already reports of issues even in V10 or G5 ...dont believe these korean companies for **** ...the only reliable cellular company in asia is samsung with a reputable Public service relation department no Huawei or LG
Solution is display tester apk?
Anyone know about the bootloop issue that affects our phones and lg is offering full refund long as have the receipt. The part that causes the bootloop is not available. Anyone know about this or experience this issue? http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/1...unds-for-some-malfunctioning-nexus-5x-phones/ …
Yes, I got the bootloop last week. Sent my phone in to LG and am awaiting response. Will post back if I receive the email listed in your article.
Side note. I had the exact same issue with my previous LG G4 and was actually successful with getting the device working by 'cooking' the motherboard. Now that definitely voids any warranty and is not foolproof, but if people don't want to lose their device for a payout, it's something they could try. (Again AT THEIR OWN RISK!)
Happy New Year !!!
I need to know what models lg g4 does have hardware issues
Because I NEED a phone
I could buy one on swappa

we cannot guarante you wich one. but i could point out wich might be less likely to bootloop.
this is whats happening it either wont loop or it may, thats uncertain. but phones that are serial number that starts with 6XX they are LESS likel to get bootloop. as far as reports theres have been a few. not like the old ones bootlooping one after another. and try to get a variant that would be able to unlock bootloader.
do a search for list of variants that can be bootloader unlocked.
