Hi folks.
I experience Touchscreen problems while typing.
Fast typing is recognized as swyping and if swyping is deactivated it just drops inputs.
Had the same probs with the Oneplus One as i purchased it shortly after release.
I made a Video of this happening: https://youtu.be/WlvDJAyWLGQ
Anyone experiencing the same issue?
Bye

Firstly, go to display settings and see if Glove mode is switched on. It increases screen sensitivity and might cause this. If it is OFF, switch it ON -> reboot-> test -> switch off -> reboot.
It might make the screen recalibrate itself, since you dont have root and cant initiate a screen calibration, to my knowledge.
Otherwise you might have a faulty touch sensor and your options are either replace the device, or use a glass/polymer protector on top of it and hope it decreases sensitivity
Having similar issue. Randomly(couple times during the day) part of a screen(each time different) stops responding. Rebooting my device helps, but after couple hours issue is back.

Even though I've got 'Always' selected for the Keep wi-fi on during sleep option, my phone still seems to turn the wifi off when the screen is off. Anyone else having this problem?
We have also encountered this issue with the One S, I found a fix
Tick the best performance option in WiFi settings, that sorted it for me

Received the update,
Problem still there
My wifi does the same thing, i got the new OTA update today but it still does it

Hi!
I have a problem regarding swyping.
From time to time, the swype-funtionality stops working and only typing is possible.
The same behavior appears in the new JB-keyboard, so i assume that it is not swype itself.
After a few minutes, the desire gets back on track by itself.
When checking the display with position tracing (developer option) the trace of the finger is complete.
I assume, that it is relatetd to the keyboard driver or something like that .
In not keyboard related apps, sliding finger over the display works like normel, even when syping is not working.
Hopefully i was able to describe myproblem in a proper way
I'm running SPAZEDOG ICS

I've had this too. A reboot seems to cure it.
It's happened to me most often when there's an update to swype available, but maybe not always.
I don't know a proper solution, but be assured it's not just you.
Thanks!
I've installed the old 3.26 version of Swype and will check if the issue is gone now.

Hey people,
my OnePlus 3 loses much energy (up to 3 percent in 5 Minutes) if it’s inside my pocket (!) - especially then if I move at the same time.
I have already disabled the gesture functions - however, the problem remains.
Actually the problem can only be reproduced in my pockets
- latest Stock-ROM
- no root or other deep system changes
Any ideas how to narrow down this issue?
Best Regards,
Chris

well, smart lock is not active in my phone...
Does it only happen when the screen / fingerprint scanner are against your body? Maybe they are detecting skin through your clothes and constantly trying to do something?

This. I think this is causing the issue. If you are slightly warm/damp/moist (someone reading hates that word ), it will try and scan your leg. My guess is perhaps it's not checking the ambient/proximity sensor to see if it's in the pocket or not.
I had this issue on the OnePlus 2 as well, although not as bad.

Thanks guys!
I'll try to wear the phone outward inside my pocket to see whether the problem still occurs.
Btw, i did some tests via "GSam Battery Monitor" and figured out the main-process which is producing the problem:
It's the "kernel". Does the kernel controls one of the mentioned sensors (ambient/proximity sensor) ?

Just be more wary of the screen being knocked/bumped!
Yeah that handles hardware as far as I know (might also be under other processes if they use it too though)
Alright, thanks for your quick feedback.
I guess i will reset my phone now...
I'm pretty sure it's the fingerprint sensor. Really sad to see that OP3 has this issue too, this started happening to me on OP2 too after the marshmallow update. They made the fingerprint scanner much more sensitive, greatly improving it's speed but this started happening. The workaround is to keep the phone in your pocket screen facing outwards...
I have the same problem. It should be fixable via system update to not activate the fingerprint sensor while the proximity sensor detects something.
Or am i missing something here?
Same issue here
Same issue. It's kind sad that OP can't handle this to prevent waking up using proximity sensor like it happens with duoble tap. I hope that they will release an update soon.
Is there anything in settings called "pocket mode"?? a friend has a THL phone that has pocket mode which stops the phone from doing anything when it detects its in a pocket
Nope, I've searched whole settings and there no option like 'pocket mode'.
same issue and the screen is showing the message "too many attempts. try again later" i can't use my smartwatch because the phone make a call or sent a message it self in my pocket.
I've created an e-mail to support with issue describe. Will update thread while getting reply.
Yes this is a bad bug which OP need to fix asap.
So what's the solution to the problem, finally?

We simply keep the phone face up in our pockets? That seems like a quick fix we shouldn't have to live with...

You would think that priority would be given to the proximity sensor. If triggered it would disable the finger print input.
I am not sure if it is touch issue or display issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdMbbML9ECg Please have a look at this link.
The touch works for 2 seconds of screen on. Anyone having same issue? Please reply if anyone has fixed this issue.
same problem.
It's like the smartphone, after a 2 second make a check then blocks the touch.
I noticed that if I touch the screen before turning on the smartphone, the touch does not hang after 2 seconds but after more than 2 minutes.
I'm not sure it's a hardware problem; I still believe that it can be solved by preventing the above control.
TouchScreen Issue

Which ROM and Kernel are you using? Should be a kernel related issue, try flashing a different ROM or Kernel.

already tried but not switched kernel,i am running default kernel with jaguar oreo rom
I am also facing the same issue, since i have flashed custom rom [Pixel Experience], initially i was using PixelExp-24/01/2018 i didnt faced any issue i was using for almost 20-25days & recently i have flashed PixelExp-07/02/2018, after 3days the nav bar stopped working intermediately & the touch response only once after screen unlock & not responses until or unless i lock it & unlock it, then suddenly touch starts working but where ever i touch in the screen Google-Assistance opens.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Did any of you go to the lenovo Service center?

I had the same. I used a piezoelectric of a lighter to give static shocks to the screen while touching it with the other finger. It worked.

I had the same issue, and fixed it by removing the screen protector. Now the touch has been working since yesterday

I am also facing the same problem on my phone.
I tried discharging the phone completely and charging again.
I use the original charger only.
I'm running Pixel Experience ROM on stock kernel. This problem started a week after unlocking and rooting my phone. I also feel that it is not a hardware issue.
The problem started with the nav. buttons: The rest of the screen functioned properly but the nav buttons were unresponsive. A little later (a few hours), the entire screen responded to touch intermittently, and after that it responded only a few seconds after unlocking the phone (the above mentioned problem).
I am having a very tough time as this is my daily driver and I'm stuck.
Please Help. Thanks a lot in advance.

This is exactly what has happened to me too. It started with the nav. buttons and then the rest of the screen. Have you found out what is to be done?
Guyz try a cell ,u know those 1.5 v cells use them as the s pen im not joking it really works u just try once
No solution whatsoever!! I just cannot believe this is a hardware problem. My screen works (most of the time) for 2mins if I wake the screen up while touching it with one of my fingers, otherwise the screen works only for 2 secs.
This problem has been discussed in very few places although there are many people who are affected. Loosing hope.
Can I exchange this phone on Filpkart/Amazon in India?

I exchanged my z2 plus with this problem on Amazon without any problem. They only want a phone which switches on and whose display is not cracked

Exactly how did you did that? Could you explain?
Broke a piezoelectric lighter and got the raw mechanism.
I made it discharge several times on the affected area while touching another area of the screen with another finger

Workaround
I tried one workaround indicated by someone else on another thread. Follow below steps
Press power button to put screen off
Hold phone in left hand and put left thumb on screen
Press power button to start screen
Touch with right hand fingers
It will work till left thumb is there on screen..
If touch is lost follow from step one
Atleast this helps alot instead of only 2-3secs stuff..
Thanks to one who indicated this workaround
Found a solution
Hi I was also facing this problem and I was ready to give up then I tried changing custom ROMs and when I installed the dot os v2.4,the problem disappeared and I was back to using the device normally
Hope this helps
Hey brothers,
My huawei started to have Ghost/Unresponsive keyboard/home button issues. happens like 5% of the time, turning screen off/on solves the issue (screen gets re-calibrated or something?)
Anyway, I have used some apps like multitouch etc from the play store, same result, you get a dead spot that does not respond to touches..
Anyway,
1. Does anyone else have this issue?
2. What are the options? I still have like 6 months warranty
The screen is clean, even removing the screen protector does not solve the issue, so I believe this is a hardware issue. Tips/ advice is welcome
Same mate 20X Ghost touch screen issue
The same issue happened to my mate 20x too. Started yesterday. It will keep on auto bring down my notifications bar or sometimes none responsive notifications bar when I tried to bring it down manually.. I've removed my factory default screen protector but it won't helps. I also recorded this screen problem using another hp..
It happens in some apps like shakes the screen and then back to normal. Dont know hardware or software issue
my mate 20 start to click all over, even sending messages and opening apps, its like its possesed sometimes, maybe its an electrical problem, how can i solve this}?
