I have a stock galaxy note 2 which keeps booting into download mode. the phone hasnt ever been rooted. it was running just the stock att firmware. but started bootlooping, and now boots only into download mode.
Ive tried to get it to boot into recovery but it will only auto boot into the download.

reflash stock rom using odin
Odin always give a pit error when I try and flash
4.1.1 firmware ?
Reflash stock firmware via Odin or kies....sounds like a corrupted partition...
Also possible that the emmc is bad...
Try reflash of the rom first...
Kies works also...but you "will" lose data not already on the SD card....g
I tried kies, it just says connecting.. but never connects. When I boot my wifes note 4 into download mode it will have some red text in the top left corner. The note 2 doesn't have anything other than downloading on the screen

try with PIT in Odin
Tried adding a pit file and the stock tar file. I then got a repartition error. I can Google and find other people who have had the same problem in the past but no one seemed to ever figure out how to resolve the issue.

I had been flashing a couple different roms using Mobile Odin. On my last flash (not sure what I did differently) but its stuck on Samsung Galaxy Note 2 boot screen. I can get it into download mode and recovery. When I hook it up to the computer to use odin on the pc it comes up ok. I tried reflashing chainfires rom/root and it seemed to run fine on odin and booted into the flash screen on the phone but when the phone reboots its still stuck on the boot screen. What should I do? Appreciate any advice. Thanks
Nevermind......was able to flash cwm onto the phone and flashed the rom I had on the sd card from there. Works now

Your note not brick if you can boot into CWM . Boot back into CWM wipe cache / Davik , reboot see its help.
I downloaded a stock ROM from a post here and used ODIN to flash it. Everything seemed fine in ODIN, said it passed, etc, rebooted. But then it kept booting. I see the Samsung logo, then the T-Mo logo. I've tried to get back into download mode, but when I do it either shows the battery charging or the infinite boot.
Any ideas..?
I downloaded 4.1.1 from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102380
Extracted, used the tar.md5 in PDA, had Auto Reboot and F.reset checked.

Thanks.
I got into Download mode, but when I try to flash ROMs, ODIN gets caught up on "SetupConnection"
I got it to install the ROM, but it's stuck at the glowing Samsung boot screen. It's moving, so it's not frozen. ODIN said PASS, succeed 1 / failed 0.

Maybe you have to wait a little longer? Is your phone tmoble t889? I thought flashing office rom will fix the issue.
By the way can you get into recovery? If you can try to factory reset it?

Hi Guys..
I accidentally dropped my Galaxy Note II, and now I'm stuck at the Loading Screen (Default N7100 load screen), phone won't boot. Now I flashed the stock ROM I downloaded from SAMobile. Odin says installation successful or PASSED. But in my Note II it says Firmware upgrade encountered an issue...
I downloaded the Stock firmware twice and I got the same results.. still the same error..
Any advice? What do I need to do?

if you are able to enter recovery try factory reset after a flash
@shhbz: That's the problem.. I cannot access recovery. Whenever I try that, it just keeps looping on the Samsung Galaxy Note II opening. I can access Download mode and Odin can successfully install the stock firmware but the problem is after flashing my Note II immediately displays the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" error.
This keeps happening every time I flash using Odin. Is it possible that something inside the hardware got broken after the drop?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32273406&postcount=5 download the rescue firmware from here and select individual file in odin leaving the pit file and see if it works. disable firewall, antivirus, and run odin as admin use odin 3.04. and uninstall kies too if you have it download
DOWNLOAD_N7100XXDLJ2_OXA_FACTORY and check the flashing process shown
it seems a prob with the nand coruption so it should get solved this way if not then you flash with the .PIT and Re-Partition ticked.
here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1449771 its explained in details but its for s2 so just follow it to revive ur note2. Go through the last part in post1 carefully . good luck !
@shhbz: Okay thanks for the links. I'm going to try them when I get to the office.
Hope it works! I'm gonna update this thread later.

I tried the recovery using the links you have provided.. But still, failed.. I tried first without PIT, then 2nd try with PIT but still failed.
AT & T Galaxy Note 2 SGH-13I7
So I'm at a loss on what to do with my phone at this point..
Everything was running great until yesterday, I attempted to root it, the root attempt was unsuccesful but the phone still worked just fine and It even got shut off and turned on a few times after the failed attempt. But one time it froze up after installing an app and after that the phone got stuck on the boot screen.
So this morning I flashed the stock 4.1.2 Rom and it worked again, then I updated the phone on the device itself. OTA is what you would call it I believe. And now I'm back to where I started. The phone gets stuck on the galaxy note 2 loading screen and it wont start.
I cannot enter recovery mode in order to wipe the settings and clear the cache.
I can enter download mode however, and my attempts at flashing the stock firmware PASS on Odin but the phone only gets stuck on the loading screen again afterwards
Does anyone know what I should do?
Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch
Is there any way I might be able to enter a recovery mode using an micro SD card?
To which rom you updated? Know that from newest version there is no going back.

Edit : there's a way(maybe) to get to download mode. But not sure if it will work on your phone. There is a thing called jig kick USB. You can build one yourself.

Thats probably my problem then. I was running 4.3 and the stock firmware I installed was 4.1.
Is jig kick USB used to get into download mode, if thats the case then I am already able to do that. Just not get into recovery mode.
Yes I noticed later that you can access download mode. So try to flash the rom you updated to but for your carier as your phone is from at&t you should use their rom. I don't have carrier phone so I speak theoretically. But I guess you understand what I mean.

mine is the same n7105, so how did this go, did it worked?
mine n7105 says passed and once rebooted don't pass n7105 logo, i can only enter download mode,
I'm having the exact same issue, 7100 Sprint. Odin flashes pass but still stuck on SGNII screen, can't flash recovery or ROM. Had 4.1.2 and accepted OTA mistakenly.
I literally just had this problem with my SGH-I317 and fixed it with this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589891 go down to where it says "If you are running the official *MK6* firmware"
ive had something similar. had odin pass. no cwm / twrp access only stock recovery and stock downloader mode.
you need to flash a stock rom to get it back, then boot into it. connect pc. (a different usb port sometimes) get ODIN to reboot it into downloader mode. I had major problems getting to that point. but got it from flashing a stock rom. I have also had this old CM10 rom that fix's all partitions etc. i cant remember the name of it now.
a couple of times ive had issues getting into custom recovery. when you hold power +vol up + home key. when u do keep holding power. it loops boot and loops back again. when u release. make sure you hold power for like 1-2 seconds on logo. dont release power button before logo appears. wait a second after it appears. get it every time now.
Try to flash latest TWRP trough ODIN and check if you can boot in to recovery after that.
I Bought a AT&T Galaxy Note 2 SGH-I317 Rooted the told me he flashed the phone to stock firmware (Which I dont know if he did )
I activated the phone and it did an ota AT&T update the phone rebooted when it finished Updating but it stayed on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Boot logo. It wont boot into recovery but it will go into downloading mode :Note When i boot into Downloading mode in the top left corner it says odin mode in red letters /Product Name: SGH-I317/ Current Binary:Custom/ System:Custom /Knox Warrenty Void:1 / RP Swrev: A3
I've tried kies upgrade Initialisation it would download but when installing it'll get a error
I've tried alot of odin methods please help !!!!
Okay....
Deep breath....and here we go..
The Odin flashes you are attempting....are failing due too your updated bootloader....(the one you received when you took the official update)..
Nothing you can do about the bootloader now as it can't be reverted....but that's okay....
Here's the plan...
Load up odin and download the UCUCNJ1 rooted rom from the link below...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2973448
Boot the device into download mode and flash the above file...
If the device begins boot....pull the battery and put the phone into download mode ....and flash the same file again...
Once complete...allow the phone to boot and it should start normally...
If it does....then power off and boot into your stock recovery and wipe data then cache and boot again...
You should then have a rooted stock....UCUCNJ1 build...
The reason this works is because your rom image that you flashed does not contain a bootloader image....
Once you are back up and running....you'll need supersu....(the thread explains this in the first post)...
The process to get you going is pretty simple....you just need the right file to flash...
Read that first post....as everything you need is there....g
