Flashing TWRP on SM-G920P 5.1.1 puts phone into Bootloop. - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

As the title states, I'm running 5.1.1 on my Galaxy S6 from Sprint and whenever I try to flash both 2.8.6.0 and 2.8.7.0 and they both put my phone into Bootloop.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The SM-G900P is a Galaxy S5. The G920P is the S6. Are you sure that you are in the right forum?

Haha oh man, I apologize. I am in the correct forum, I meant G920P in the title, which I now fixed.

Okay, flash this via Odin: http://build.twrp.me/twrp/twrp-2.8.7.1-zerofltespr.img.tar
Before flashing, make sure that OEM unlocking is set to On in Developer options. Tap build number to get to those options if you haven't done so.

when you go to settings > about phone, what does it say your model number is?
have you installed anything that could have changed your build.prop like a ROM or perhaps google wallet?

I just rooted and installed wifi tethermod that's it. My model # says samsung SGH-i747
have looked through the synergy thread or asked this question there?
the installer does not give you an option to select carrier? i ask because i have never flashed this ROM

I went there and cant find an answer. r484 has aroma and it detects it by itself. Idk men this is confusin. What would happen if I install sprints version?
perhaps nothing too crazy. probably your build.prop would be changed and your device would think its a sprint s3. you would have to change this back later. you would also likely have to add in your APNs.
honestly, there are too many other good, smooth running ROMs to debate how your phone might react to this one. i would ask again in the synergy thread.

[Q] Need Help - loosing root

Hi guys
Been a while since I've been on the forum.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 - Tmobile and tripped the knox protection.
The issue I'm having is that I keep on loosing root after reboot.
This is the specs of the phone as is:
Model - GT - I9505G
Android 4.4.2
Baseband - M919UVUEMK2
Kernel [email protected] #1
Build KOT49H.08.19.2014
My phone is acting funny (loosing signal, no satelite connection on gps) so I need to root again and install a new rom and kernel. maybe update the modem.
I'm using windows 8.
Please advice where to take it on the next step.
Thank you
Update to the NH7 bootloader. Or at least reflash the stock MK2 firmware and root with CF auto root

You have a i9505G......You need firmware for that device. Not M919........
And what do you mean "loose root"? What method did you root with? I hope it was for the i9505G......

When I checked my phone now, looks like I have M919 Galaxy S4
Not sure, than maybe I've installed the wrong firmware?
Loosing root, meaning that I root the phone, than when I check it after a while is not rooted anymore.
I'll fallow this instructions and maybe that will fix it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/help/nb4-to-nh7-firmware-upgrade-via-odin-t2880284

I was thinking to go with the other one ))
I fallowed the guide there and installed M919UVUFNH7_M919TMBFNH7_M919UVUFNH7_HOME.tar.md5
Now on start, was thinking to let the phone sit a little bit, but I am getting " Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped" multiple times. Like a lot of times and I keep on hitting ok.
Any idea why? Is that ok?
Should I just move on np?

Thank you for the quick response. I'm quite new to this rooting/flashing process and was wondering what are the differences between the Samsung Tab S Firmwares? I was thinking if it was possible to flash/install the Canadian 5.0.2 firmware via Odin but wasn't sure what to expect in terms of what my Tab S behaves and looks like now. Does it matter that my Tab S is rooted?
Thanks.

You don't need to use cfauto root as well as twrp. Twrp is capable of rooting any device on its own. Just Install twrp, boot into twrp then select reboot. You will then be prompted to root.

There's a search function for a reason and the devs on here don't have time to just hold your hand and walk you through everything you have to be willing to help yourself and learn how to do things on your own and then if you have a problem or run into trouble then ask for assistance but don't ask to have your hand held through it all.. Here you go.. Make sure you substitute the Verizon firmware for the AT&T firmware as @TechNyne66 said, the OGG firmware.. As long as it's firmware from AT&T you should be good to go.. However if it still errors out and doesn't work that means they (AT&T) have blocked it and you'll have to enter into recovery and select full system restore in order to fix it and get it back to where it is right now.. I'd first make a backup if I were you!!

If you are past the the PH4 update this is not the thread for you.
If you are still on PH4, stop trying to downgrade your bootloader, unless you are flashing a Binary 3 bootloader.
All of this has been explained within this forum. Check my profile and go to my posts. I've already wrote it all up two or three times...
