My Tab S is currently rooted and running on the UK version of the Samsung Firmware 4.4.2. Is it possible to flash/install Samsung Firmware from a different country, one that now has 5.0.2, without the Tab S experiencing any adverse effects?
Thanks

Thank you for the quick response. I'm quite new to this rooting/flashing process and was wondering what are the differences between the Samsung Tab S Firmwares? I was thinking if it was possible to flash/install the Canadian 5.0.2 firmware via Odin but wasn't sure what to expect in terms of what my Tab S behaves and looks like now. Does it matter that my Tab S is rooted?
Thanks.

I also flashed a TWRP Custom Recovery.
You don't need to use cfauto root as well as twrp. Twrp is capable of rooting any device on its own. Just Install twrp, boot into twrp then select reboot. You will then be prompted to root.

have you tried factoring defaulting the device
if they still doesn't work my guess would be that there might be a hardware issue
has the phone been dropped, gotten wet or even in a high humidity location

It has been factory reset, numerous different roms and still the same issue. Hasn't been dropped or in high humidity, I didn't send it off to a third party repair place but I think they may have just had it sitting in there office when I paid for a 'diagnostic' fee. I thought a broken antenna as well.
Could it be a SIM problem?

Definitely not a sim card problem, I have tried multiple sim cards In it and the problem remains. Is there any possibility that it's a problem with the modem. As I did unlock it using the downgrading and hidden menu method.

lol I genuinely appreciate your reckless testing. I'm not familiar enough with the process to be hopeful or hopeless about the future for dev on vzw bootloader shenanigans. I willingly let vroot attempt to get access on my vzw note 3, fail, then asked kingo to violate the sanctuary before getting it right. There's many people who know a LOT more than me who will swear up and down about risks being benign but I think it's undeniable the entire process is more than unsanitary.
I wouldn't sell my soul to the devil for root/vstrap on this device but then again... he has yet to make an offer.

Hi guys
Been a while since I've been on the forum.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 - Tmobile and tripped the knox protection.
The issue I'm having is that I keep on loosing root after reboot.
This is the specs of the phone as is:
Model - GT - I9505G
Android 4.4.2
Baseband - M919UVUEMK2
Kernel [email protected] #1
Build KOT49H.08.19.2014
My phone is acting funny (loosing signal, no satelite connection on gps) so I need to root again and install a new rom and kernel. maybe update the modem.
I'm using windows 8.
Please advice where to take it on the next step.
Thank you
Update to the NH7 bootloader. Or at least reflash the stock MK2 firmware and root with CF auto root

Here you go.. Make sure you substitute the Verizon firmware for the AT&T firmware as @TechNyne66 said, the OGG firmware.. As long as it's firmware from AT&T you should be good to go.. However if it still errors out and doesn't work that means they (AT&T) have blocked it and you'll have to enter into recovery and select full system restore in order to fix it and get it back to where it is right now.. I'd first make a backup if I were you!!

If you are still on PH4, stop trying to downgrade your bootloader, unless you are flashing a Binary 3 bootloader.
