Anyone has any W10M stock ROM for Lumia 530 DS? I don't know about the 10586 build but the last build I used, before I was forced to go back to WP8.1 after a failed hard reset, was 10149.
Or if I can use ROM of other lumia in my phone without having serious problems (I know it will have some because it wasn't made for the 530 one)
We must wait a little until WPInternal get support to Lumia 530 to create a properly dump backup.
For now, it's impossible, sorry.

So I've been browsing around for days trying to find where to bring in my unlocking endeavors, any help? Links, or anything of the sort. I have an hd7s with mango 7720 if that helps at all. Thanks.
I think you'd have to flash your phone with either a custom rom or a pre nodo rom then use chevron unlock and use ansars or petbede guide to upgrade to mango while retaining the unlocks. I personally have a legit $99 unlock on my pro 7 with nodo and followed petbede guide using ansars u2m7720 1.2 tool to upgrade to mango you also need to have HTC connection setup installed as its been removed from the market place.

im in a similar situation except im on nodo trying to go to mango
I can sideload HTC connection setup but it keeps saying that the database does not exist on the device
any suggestions?
@jaygriggs: A sideloaded version wouldn't work anyhow. It need the marketplace signature or you can't run it without already having interop-unlock, which makes it rather useless for the purpose of interop-unlocking your phone.
Ansar claims to have a way to interop-unlock HTC on Mango, but last I saw the mods had locked his thread for breaking the XDA-Devs forum rules (requesting donations before he'd send you the app).

i was beginning to think a signature was the issue.
Most apps dont work on a cdma device
I'd have no problem donating if i knew it was going to work
Where would I begin to flash a custom rom? Or roll back to chevron unlock?
I'm having the same questions/issues also. I have an HTC Trophy, was on NoDo, and I have a developer-unlock (student unlock, so I can sideload 3 apps)
I followed these instructions:
Download/Install: TouchXplorer and HTC Connection applications
Download/Install: The App Deploy file (that deploys CustClear.provxml to the My Docs\My Ringtones folder)
I then did this:
1) use TouchXplorer to copy the CustClear.provxml file to the \Windows\ folder
2) Run HTC Connection and click the Checkbox
3) Repeat Step 1 again (to put that file back in the \Windows\ folder)
4) Update to the next version using Zune (one below Mango)
5) Repeat Steps 1 thru 4, which now updates to Mango
After Mango was installed, I am still at the student/developer unlock (up to 3 sideloaded apps). What did I do wrong, and what do I need to do to get Mango with unlimited sideloads?
Thanks in advance.
@Avazee: You have to use an upgrade path which gives you 7720 (Mango) and the HTC Update for Mango in different steps. This used to be done by using the beta upgrade path.
The problem is that 7720 re-locks the device against ID_CAP_INTEROPSERIVES, so you have to use Connection Setup to interop-unlock it. The HTC update doesn't re-lock the device, but it prevents you from using Connection Setup to make changes (it also breaks some other homebrew, like TouchXplorer). If you get them at the same time, which is how MS is currently pushing the Mango update, your phone gets re-locked and you lose the ability to unlock at the same time - very unfortunate.
You could use This, no idea if it works tough. I have been upgrading to Mango with the U2B2 tool

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by HTC Update? I didn't get any HTC update...
How do I use an upgrade path that gives me Mango and this 'HTC Update' in different steps?
Thanks for your help.

I really hope someone can prove me wrong (I have been reading and looking for weeks on this forum and yet to see otherwise). For HTC going to Mango and retaining interop-unlock, all I have seen mentioned that works is starting with a Shubert ROM (spelling?) and using U2B2 method or a cooked ROM.
BUT, this does not work as these ROMs will not work on the CDMA version WP7 phones (which VZW HTC Trophy is one, sprint is another). I have not seen anyone take the stock NoDo CDMA ROM that came on our phones and get to Mango interop-unlocked. There is no pre-nodo CDMA ROM in existence.
Anyone, please prove me wrong as I would really like to be wrong.
I don't currently know of a way to avoid getting the HTC update bundled with the Mango update. The approach used previously was to install the Mango beta, interop-unlock it, then upgrade to 7720 (Mango release), and since that didn't include the HTC update you could interop-unlock it too. You could then install the HTC update if you wished.
For users following the retail update path, the HTC update is simply part of the Mango (7403->7720) update.

how do i know if my phone is jailbrake or not????
Your Phone is unlocked if you can sideload Applications Rom our PC. You are unlocked if you have flashed a preunlocked ROM or if you are a Developer and unlocked it with the Unlock tool OR if you have used the ChevronWP Unlock Tool
Now I'm using lumia 900 with unofficial 7.8.
So, it is impossible to mount official 7.8 via zune, because zune recognises my lumia as the latest version.
To get official version, I gotta downgrade it to official 7.5.
First of all, I prepared 7.5 version of firmware.
Then, connected to Nokia care suite, I started recovery.
But, it gives me error message "No response received! Unable to verify response"
What's wrong with it? Plz someone get me right direction..
Anyone notice that the update for the Lumia 900 to 7.8 is not there any longer? Also Care Suite has an update, when you update to the newer version your not able to login to the Care Suite external site any longer. When I plug my phone up now says my firmware is not upgradable?
Its all still there on my ver 1.7 of Navifirm, I did hear they were taking away the ability to update using this method and it looks like that is now true, Try and get the old version back as I am looking at Navifirm now and everything is as it was the last time I flashed a 900.
No Update

I am in the same boat. The update is no more available and i am stuck on 7.5. I am getting only 2135.2301.8779.12223 as the latest update for my Lumia 900 ATT (RM-808). Tried updating through Zune but no luck. I have Navifirm 1.7+ and 1.9 but cant find the update now.
Does anyone know any alternative?

It's not luck that's missing... 10 posts below this one answers your question.

"Seek and ye shall find"
As of the time I writing this, navifirm 1.7+ is no longer usable, and returns unauthorized faults. Some good news is the later versions of N Care Suite (I tried 2013.1.3.4) are still able to download firmwares from Production External without needing credentials. Only the latest firmware is available and you'll need to know the product code before hand.
Some versions of the 7.8 have been withdrawn, as far as I know due to high profile reported bugs. Those issues have since been corrected, and for Lumia 900 ATT (RM-808), I'm seeing 2175.2307.8862.13100 as the latest on NCS.
Also, I think by now, any Lumia 900 can get the 7.8 upgrade via Zune.
On another note regarding NCS, I could never get NCS PSTforStore to recognize the rm-808 in particular, on versions after 2012.22.1.3 installed on WinXP 32-bit. PSTforStore only reports "no connection", but Fuse always sees the phone and reports 1 connection. Has anyone else seen this and found what the problem is? I do see other threads here where the same issue occurred, but no solution.
Hello!
I have a Nokia XL 4G with root, but it's 1.1.4 Stock Rom Version.
I'd like to update it at latest version, as I can check online, for this phone there is Nokia X Platform 1.2.5.. but actually I can't update my actual rom, so I thoght to proceed this way:
-Backup actual rom, so in case I find problems after the update, I can get back to root version.
-Flash newer OS version.
-Proceed with root of new version.
But actually I find problems with backup: neither cwm either twrp found on xda's tutorials seem to work on my phone.. I think it's probably because my phone is different.
So for first I want to know if there is some way to do the whole actual rom backup without a recovery mode..

If you want an update, try Nokia X Flasher and download the latest firmware for your device....:good::good:
http://m.romzj.com/list/nokia_xl4g.htm good luck
Veez21: Nokia X Flasher doesn't work.. I tryed Nokia X Manager too, it gives me some error like "length can't be less than zero"...
thinhx2: the site you send me is not comprensible, I don't need the rom, I need a way to backup my actual rom that is yet rooted, so if I find troubles after update I can get back to a rooted rom.

Explain why custom recoveries can't help you
Sent by a Cool Guy using XDA-Developers mobile app
I didn't say Custom Recoveries can't help me, sorry.. I said that when I tried to install both ClockworkMod and TWRP but they can't be installed on my phone!
I followed the step to install those, it acts like they are installed but when I try to start the phone in recovery mode it locks on the Nokia logo screen and never get in recovery.
Is it possible that those don't work because my phone is Nokia XL 4G (it has 4cores cpu and 1gb ram) and so it's different by other normal Nokia X/XL?
What can I do to install recoveries? Or is there any other way to backup the whole phone without them?
Someone can help me?
Nokia xl 4g very different nokia xl
None of existing Nokia X/XL tools will work with XL 4G model, because it's totally different hardware (even used Qualcomm SoC is different); without recovery with available root shell it's rather impossible to make proper backup of system partitions.
Wish somebody outside China have access to XL 4G, maybe somebody would be able to port TWRP/CWM.

Can port rom but dont update version of android
Hi, long time lurker who never registered. I am wondering if I can wipe my Alcatel Fierce xl 5055w and install Android. The hardware is the same but I don't want to brick it. It's really buggy. If not why? OR downgrade to WP 8.1
Thanks
Some time ago I uploaded stock ROMs for the 5054N (the Android version of the 5055W): http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/rom-alcatel-one-touch-fierce-xl-5054-t3385169
You may want to try them. I have no guarantee on the result: I don't think the flasher will allow you to flash. If it does, it may work or brick your phone.
