Restore apps from TWRP in Titanium Backup with OTG - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a big TWRP nand on my USB. When I click restore from nand in TB, it doesn't search my USB drive for a TWRP backup, it only searches my SD card. My SD card can't hold my backup, to small of an SD.
How can i get it to search my USB for a backup?

[Q] My SD card failed, doing recreating

The SD card failed, I got a replacment, and rebuilt it from my last backup
of the card data. I rebooted into clockwork and I'm doing a nandroid
backup of the current nand partitions. I'm then going to update
my titanium backup with the apps that were added since the
last card backup. I think that should bring everything up to date
on the temp card. Did I forget anything else?
Sort of a 'disaster recovery' from media failure.
thanks

[Q] CWM backup

Hello,i did a cwm backup and i cant find it with root explorer or when i connect my phone to the computer. If i try to restore cwm recovery shows me backup in /sdcard/cwm/....
Why is that?
It's in internal sd card, not in external. Next time you need to choose backup to external sd card.

If you want to restore, just go to recovery and choose restore. Then you can choose one of your backups. If you dont have external sd card, then the backup is in internal memory. Your backup will have aprox. 1.5GB, I recommend you to buy an external sd card, because soon you will have space problems, specially if you perform more backups in CWM recovery.

Backup to a removable SD Card

I know I can go to the the recovery and make a disk image backup to the SD card. But I want to run the stock recovery and anyways I would prefer to have more of a backup of just the app data... is there anything like Titanium Backup Pro that can make the backup onto the removable SD card?
Why not just use titanium backup then if that's what you want?

I want to backup to the removable SD card. When I try to set this as a backup destination in Titanium it says the destination is not writable. I've even gone into terminal and chmod 777 the directory but it still says the same.
If you search on here you will find how to make the sd card writeable.

I keep searching, page 38 right now of topics, but I haven't found info on how to make SD card writable to apps on rooted HTC One M8 from T-Mobile yet.

sdcard missing after cloudy2.4 + nandroid "data" restore

Help please,
I made a nandroid backup of data in TWRP before flashing CloudyG3_2.4.
After the phone came up and I restored my apps using smsbackup, at this point, I could see the external sd card and all the contents.
I then reboot into recovery and restored data only from nandroid backup made earlier and rebooted the phone.
From here, I cannot see the SD card when the phone restarted but:
1. The sdcard works on other phones/computers without problems and has all the data intact.
2. I can see the SD card and all the files when I reboot into TWRP recovery and go to file Explorer
3. SD card is mounted in the advanced settings in TWRP.
4. Someone on a thread advised I formatted the sdcard to "FAT" in TWRP but I first backed up on my PC with a card reader before putting the SD card back in the phone to format but even though it says successful, it is giving an MTP error = 1
5. I can't find the SD card or any of its files using rootbrowser, or sdmaid etc ie. In normal boot.
I need help please. Thanks
