So, according to some posts about unlocking this Sprint Note 4, I have to down grade my modem (aka baseband) and ROM to MK2 or lower. I have the MK2 ROM, but I can't find this or any other modems for this phone. I can not ODIN back my bootloader, so I can't use Samsung ODIN TARs.
Can anyone out there give me either a zip or tar of NIE and/or MK2 modem?

I have the sgh-i317 unlocked and working on tmobile. I wanted to flash the stock 4.1.2 firmware from tmobile, but of course I can't use the tmobile modem on the att n2 unless I want bootloops and/or loss of imei. I can unzip the tmobile stock firmware file to look and modify the content folders. So my questions is, Can I just remove the tmobile modem.bin file from the tmobile 4.1.2 zip folder and then go ahead and flash away with odin. Or better yet, can I replace the tmobile 4.1.2 modem.bin file with the att MC3 modem.bin file and flash the whole thing together in Odin. Or is my best path to just flash the whole tmobile 4.1.2 firmware (including the modem) and then right away flash the att MC3 modem and then do the reboot? Any direction and help is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
... Do you only have Odin to work with?
... Are you rooted with custom recovery?
If you have a recovery, I'd find a stock cwm/twrp image for T-Mobile, then restore my modem.

coming from 4.1.1 i flashed mjb modem and then mjb to NE4 upgrade firmware zip and then a rom with NE4 base,, after that i desided to flash a 4.3 rom and wifi broke so i flash mjb modem then diferrent kernel and now my baseband and imei is gone and no signal..so i went and try to flash NE4 modem to fix it and it wont flash nor mjb modem and im stock with a phone with no signal i try to flash a NE4 bootloader with odin and fails too ( am i bricked?? is there a solution for this??
How are you trying to flash the NE4 modem? What do you mean it wont flash? Errors? Recovery log? Link to modem you tried?
Also, afaik there is no Odin flashable NE4 anything.
Same as before. All credit to shiamatsu for the instructions. And shinyside for ripping the files.
1. You do the same thing we did with mk2 and nb4.

2. You get the nh7 modem.bin file here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2873695
Results:
nh7 modem on deck.
After I odin Stock firmwares 4.4.4 NH7 (to changed my bootloader to the new NH7) I also odin my modem and NON-HLOS to NI3. I can see NOW the modem as NI3 but the bootloader is stil show NH7. Is this ok?
I just bought an AT&T S3 to replace a carrier unlocked T-Mobile S3. The new device is already rooted with CM11 installed and it's baseband is MG2. I'll need to revert back to stock temporarily to do a carrier unlock. Here are my questions:
What is a safe TW (preferrably a pre-rooted TW) I can flash to perform the carrier unlock?
After I'm carrier unlocked, what is the latest modem I can install? I want to do all of this without enabling knox.
Thanks to all in advance,
Niphoet
Flashing back to stock means everything will be wiped on the phone, including recovery and data.
You can use Odin to flash the stock ATT 4.1.1 firmware from sammobile.com. Before doing so, boot into download mode and make sure you there is nothing about warranty bit on the screen.

There ae several important things to know about upgrading your modem and firmware.
1) KNOX comes with all of the firmware since the officlal 4.3 release, MJB. The leaked version of the 4.3 release (MJ2) does not have KNOX.
2) Once on the MJB and later firmware you can no longer downgrade, you will most probably brick your phone.
3) It is possible to run the MJ2 firmware/bootloader and MJB modem combination on 4.3 and 4.4.x ROMs.
4) The MJ2 and MJB bootloader will most likely require a custom kernel if you use it on 4.4.x ROMs. Something like the kToonez kernel or iBuddler kernel found in Likewise.
5) Once you get past the 4.3 firmware do not mix firmware and modem release versions, again bricks are probably. If you have NE4 firmare, use the NE4 modem. The same goes for for if you have the NE4 modem, use the NE4 bootloader. This holds true for NH2, NJ1, and NKx.
6) The only time I have seen that you absolutely must be on NE4 or newer is for the Lollipop ROMs.
