How are you trying to flash the NE4 modem? What do you mean it wont flash? Errors? Recovery log? Link to modem you tried?
Also, afaik there is no Odin flashable NE4 anything.

[Q] Repack stock firmware with mj5 bootloader

Hello,
I want to replace the boot loader from the stock firmware file with mj5 boot loader, so I can flash using PC Odin (don't want to use mobile Odin).
In the flashable mj5 boot loader I see 3 files: param.bin, sboot.bin and tz.img
Do I need to copy only the sboot.bin and repack the stock firmware (ignoring the param.bin and tz.img)?
Or what is the right way to flash the latest firmware without changing the bootloader using pc Odin?
Thank you!
What is the right way to flash any stock firmware and keep MJ5 bootloader using pc Odin?
bump
This is the same question that I would like to ask. Or one of them.
I am now on mj5 bootloader running custom 4.4.3 ROM (Dr.Ketan V14). I'd like to go for stock kitkat, but keep the mj5? If I flash the official 4.4.3 firmware with ODIN, I will also flash the new know bootloader right? Is it enough to flash the official firmware and bootloader ath the same time in ODIN? Will this result with official 4.4.3 with mj5 bootloader and without knox? Will I be able to root it?
Thanks,
Cheers,
estu

[Q] NH7 to NK2

Will I get better modem performance by changing my NH7 modem and bootloader to NK2 on my TW 4.4.4 Rom ?

Flashing MDL (4.2.2) bootloader on NK2 (4.4.4), need some guidance please.

I have a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919) which is on Android 4.4.4 (M919UVUFNK2), and has Clockwork Mod Recovery (CWM) 6.0.4.4 installed.
On this phone, I tried to flash the MDL (4.2.2) bootloader which I pulled from the M919UVUAMDL baseband as a "boot.img" and then converted it to a "boot.tar.md5" using the script in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446269. Then I connected my phone to Odin 3.07 in download mode, and loaded the boot.tar.md5 with the option boxes: auto reboot and reset time, checked.
When I then tried to flash the bootloader, after the Odin log section did a successful check of the md5, it causes my phone to restart and then it just hangs at the Samsung logo not going any further.
At this point, I thought I could pull the battery to get the phone to reset itself, and load up correctly but that did not work. Thankfully, I made a nandroid backup in CWM, and restored my phone using the CWM recovery options.
But, how do I get my phone to successfully flash the MDL (4.2.2) bootloader on NK2 (4.4.4) in Odin? Was there something I missed?
For reference, I have listed the details of my phone below:
Brand/Series/Make: Samsung Galaxy S4
Model Number: SGH-M919
Carrier (Country): T-Mobile (USA)
Android Version: Android 4.4.4
Baseband Version: M919UVUFNK2
Phone Rooted?: No
you can not flash the MDL bootloader once you upgrade past it. This is because the new BL comes with KNOX. Once you have KNOX you can not go back away from it. You can only downgrade to the first BL with KNOX but nothing without. Hope this helps.
You can't downgrade it at all. Not even to a previous Knox bootloader.

Since KNOX on the NK2 bootloader prevents the MDL bootloader from flashing over it; then how would I remove KNOX from the NK2 bootloader?

You can't. It's not a separate thing you can just get rid of. Why do you want to flash MDL bootloader?

Hello. I have the same phone. I need to flash MDL baseband to check if supports, according to a user report, WCDMA 900. Do I need to flash MDL bootloader too? I'm on NK2 bootloader/baseband too. Thanks
You can't flash am mdl bootloader over an nk2 bootloader.
OK thanks. Then I'll try to flash the MDL modem to an earlier stock firmware, maybe NB4, while still running over the same NK2 bootloader. Is it doable? All this just to try if MDL supports 3G 900MHz, which I'm currently needing.

Sorry. And what about flashing the bootloader using a JTAG interface? So i can force flash the MDL bootloader over my current Knox bootloader then? Thanks
Don't think you can even force flash it via JTAG but you can try it.
Also, flashing an older mdl modem may not enable other radio bands.

OK, I've just checked this. Downgraded to NBA the whole thing (BL, AP, CP, CSC). I didn't know that it was even possible because of knox. Then I downgraded to MDL the baseband. The result is the same, no 900MHz 3G, WCDMA, UMTS, whatever. I couldn't get even older MK2 firmware soon enough to try this, but I guess it's not point to retry for incompatibilities between 4.3 modem and 4.4.2 rom. What do you think? 2G signal was present at all times.
Next approach would be QCN tinkering because editing a few NV values didn't work either.

MK2 modem?

So, according to some posts about unlocking this Sprint Note 4, I have to down grade my modem (aka baseband) and ROM to MK2 or lower. I have the MK2 ROM, but I can't find this or any other modems for this phone. I can not ODIN back my bootloader, so I can't use Samsung ODIN TARs.
Can anyone out there give me either a zip or tar of NIE and/or MK2 modem?
