CyanogenMod brightness Issue FIXED
I have installed Cyanogenmod , it is super fast and perfect rom
only one issue that is very major issue for me , is low brightness. I tried many things but no success
Today i got solution , it is very easy
- After installing cyanogenmod , install root explorer
- go to sysyem/etc directory
- Find hw_config.sh file
- Tap and hold on this hw_config.sh file , select edit in text viewer option from the menu
- Scroll down to the bottom , there you will see this code (i am using FXP054 cyanogenmod , for other versions it may vary)
# LMU AS3676 Configuration
dev=/sys/devices/i2c-0/0-0040/leds
echo 1,65,255,24,24,5,128 > $dev/lcd-backlight/als/curve # ALS curve for group1
echo 2,0,0,0 > $dev/lcd-backlight/als/params #[gain],[filter_up],[filter_down],[offset]
echo 1 > $dev/lcd-backlight/als/enable #Sensor on/off. 1 = on, reg 90h
echo 450 > $dev/button-backlight/max_current
Change above code to
# LMU AS3676 Configuration
dev=/sys/devices/i2c-0/0-0040/leds
echo 0,0,0,0,0,0,0 > $dev/lcd-backlight/als/curve # ALS curve for group1
echo 2,0,0,0 > $dev/lcd-backlight/als/params #[gain],[filter_up],[filter_down],[offset]
echo 1 > $dev/lcd-backlight/als/enable #Sensor on/off. 1 = on, reg 90h
echo 450 > $dev/button-backlight/max_current
Reboot your phone and voila you have fixed brightness problem :
I found this post yesterday, the guy who posteed says it works, but on My Xperia S it didn't maybe I did something wrong but anyway, the only thing that has changed is the LED Stripe on the bottom became brighter but not the display, maybe somebody can rewrite this code.
PS: Before changing something backup the System file.

[Q] How to disable SoftNav buttons in Chromium JB ROM build 9?

Hi all,
just updated to build 9. Awesome ROM, but i found these annoying SoftNav buttons after flashing.. Could not find any option to disable the SoftNav bar. Is there any way to get rid of it?
Settings > Chromium ROM settings > Expanded desktop > Status bar visible. Hold power button for a few seconds until power menu comes up and then choose Expanded desktop.
Got it!
Tricky.. Thanks a lot!
Thanks, were looking for that, too.
Also, you posted some recommended settings here. Where do I find those options?

Maybe I'm blind, but I don't have that option in the menu. Is that any possible?
Just to verify it, I uploaded screenshots of my menu. There is no "performance".

Oops sorry about that. To enable the performance section you need to go to about phone and tap on build number 7 times. Then it should appear along with developer settings.

i have a DN3 V5+ and delay all time than screen wake up and incoming call. how to fix
i search in topic but i don't understand how to resident secphone.apk and phone.apk i can't find in my phone
help me pls. thank you very much
From exposed app settings, if you select RESIDENT on your secphone.apk and phone.apk, then save. It reduces wakeup time. BOTH THESE ARE POSTED HERE SOMWHERE by other users.
You need to
1. Install xposed installer/framework
2. Download and install App Settings using the xposed installer and reboot.
3. Open App Settings, find and select com.sec.phone and com.android.phone and enable resident under their settings.
BTW, thanks for posting, I was looking how to reduce the wakeup lag, I think this has done the trick.

LG G3 Dialer change?

I don't see any option to change stock dialer anywhere. Why can't we change it? Do we need root to change it?

You can't change it, it's 'Contacts (Default)' under Phone app. I have Fongo, Hangout Dialer but none appeared as options to be as the default dialer

How to disable dt2w?

How do i disble dt2w. It turns on in my pocket. I have the Sept update
Mi a2 lite doesn't have dt2w
Some pieces does have dt2tw, I even remember a thread here with the conclusion that it depend of screen vendor. I have one of them in my hand and there is no relevant options in menu. Dt2w cannot be disabled.
So I take your phone and you take mine as I want this feature xD
I'm not complaining at all, even more, I'm really happy with such unexpected feature
I have this fonction in my MiA2Lite , it cant be disabled also I want to hide the battery percentage but I didn't find any solution
I have mi a2 lite and I had active dt2w. I disabled over root system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl. In this file is key 143. You can disable it over #.

Basically you need to edit the Generic.kl file using root permissions. I use the editor in FX File Explorer, but there's plenty around to choose from. Load up the file explorer and browse to /system/usr/keylayout/ and edit Generic.kl. Change this line:
Code:
key 143 WAKEUP
To this (just put a hash in front):
Code:
# key 143 WAKEUP
How to do this without root?
The above described solution always worked like a charm, but it does not work any longer after I upgraded to Pie... Any Idea how to disable dt2w using Pie?

I edited the ft5435_ts.kl and the fts_ts.kl files.
Change
Code:
key 143 WAKEUP
To
Code:
# key 143 WAKEUP
solution confirmed

I'm not sure whether this depends on the RAM/ROM, but I know it has two versions. With EBBG display or with CSOT display. EBBG = without dttw, CSOT = with dttw. You can check it with *#*#6484#*#* (6484 = MIUI), tap on Version Information and search for LCD or TP.
