Hey guys!
When I wipe dalvik-cache and cache, I no longer get any app optimization screen at all! My phone boots up just as fast as with the cache beforehand. Is it a bug in TWRP not wiping the partition, or does Marshmallow not do that anymore?
Thanks!

Hi
I am try to flash Supernova ROM but I can't seem to get past the HTC logo.
I have rooted my desire using unrevoked and I have partitioned my sd card using gparted. I have tried wipe cache's and the davilk cache but it just doesn't boot at all. I am using stock 2.2 and haven't changed any kernals or anything. Anybody got any ideas. I am new to flashing on the desire. I am able to get back to recovery and have restored my back up. I just cant get supernova to work.
Thanks

You tried wiping? Was it successful or not? Wipe all/wipe cache/ wipe dalvik cache (advanced...) should give you "dalvik cache wiped" e.g. if succesful....

Yes all the wipes were successful. I wiped them a couple of times
I had the same problem but just pulled out the battery, did a full wipe again, booted again and it worked. If that doesn't work post this question in the Supernova thread
Hi there,
I'm coming from the HTC HD2 i used to wipe my device using Task29, just wondering if there's a Task29 for the Gnex, i always liked to have a clean device before flashing a ROM.
Thanks for your help in advance
CWM:
Mounts>Format System. (Rom.zip's do this themselves...)
Wipe data/cache.
Advanced>wipe dalvik (this is wiped with the data/cache option...but some users are OCD)
Wipe cache. (This too is wiped in data/cache wipe...)
That's as clean as it gets.

Oh... i remenber doing that when sometimes i used to update my HD2 at work and couldn't Task29, so i am familiar with that process, thought using a native Android device was different
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
I'm using CM7.2 with Link2SD. Everything was working fine for a long time, until just now... I wiped Dalvik cache, and the phone got into bootloop after restart... How is this even possible? Then wiped cache partition, still nothing. I don't want to factory reset... Is there a simple way to bring it to life?

Need a few more details:
- What were your trying to do? Why did you wipe dalvik in the first place?
- How did you partition your sd card?
- Which hboot are you on?
I take it you can still get into recovery? Make a backup anyway, you can recover stuff afterwards in the event you have to full wipe.
I've personally never had any luck with Link2SD, with CM7 I recommend you are on cm7r2 hboot and use S2E or Darktremor for A2SD, use either to move apps and dalvik to sd-ext.
Hi all,
I have installed cm-11-20140726-NIGHTLY-marvel and CronMod-INT2EXT+ on HTC Wildfire S.
Everything works fine.
After trying to use the Cron's Dalvik-Cache Wipe Tool (zip install from Clockwork mod recovery) CM 11 gets stuck on boot animation after restart.
Only factory reset/wipe helps to make it work again.
As I undertood that Dalvik Cache should also be wiped by this tool due to INT2EXT+ and as the built-in Dalvik Cache wipe clears the different location, I am puzzled how to make this work after installing e.g. Google apps package - gapps.
Any ideas?

Hello guys,
i have a problem with my device. After I installed Hyperdrive Rom it says that the installation was succesful, but when I want to reboot the device it only boots into downloading mode. Before Installation i wiped dalvik cache, cache and data. Any suggestions why? Is the bootloader broken?

Can you boot into recovery? If so, try to do another clean install. Wipe cache, dalvik cache, system, and data. Then flash the ROM and see if that fixes it.
Thread can be closed. A friend helped me by sending me a backup of his rom.
