Hello all, I've recently found a way to mount a Kali Linux Image file on my cellphone (a rooted LG G3 D855 running Euphoria ROM, so Android Lollipop) using the Terminal Emulator and Root privileges, but I'd like to take this a step further and uninstall Android so that I can install a Linux build properly.
Does anyone have any experience or suggestions as to how I should do this?
Thanks for your time

Hello everybody!
I have a problem concerning the completion of the root process on my device LG G3 D855P - Rom version V10o.
After upgrading to the V10o version, the root was removed and since then I try to trouble reactive it.
I tried to make the root through various APK's such as: Framarrot, Towerlroot ... I also tried using ".exe" via PC, such as: Ioroot, PurpleDrake, UnlockRoot, among others.
I was not happy in any process so far. I wish someone could help me regarding the realization of root on my device.
Thanks in advance !!
Thanks to some idiot, team codefire left g3 behind for good.
There will be no more root for g3 unless someone else does it.
Only way to get root back is going back to stock rom reported working with root and dont upgrade if you wanna keep root
Sent from my LG-D852 using XDA Free mobile app
PurpleDrake is working with v10o.
If you have properly installed LG drivers and USB debugging is enabled, it's good to go.
Got it!
Guys, it worked.
I made this ... I changed the MTP option for PTP then open a window PurpleDrake, it failed to carry out the root, she kept open and open another window of PurpleDrake, yes this worked.
Installed SuperSU and ta all right.
Thanks guys.
Hi all,
I would like to root my LG G3 phone. It is running Android 5.0.1. I haven't been able to root it with the no PC one click root apps, nor have I found a guide for doing it with Ubuntu.
Id like to either root it, or downgrade it to 4.4.2 and root it that way, but I don't have access to a Windows computer. Just Ubuntu 12.04.
Does anyone know what i have to download and what the process would be?
Thanks!
Hello all,
My LG G4 phone is currently running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The version is: H81220e.
I looked throughout the site and I can't seem to find anything that tells me how to root this exact version of Android. I'm sorry if this seems retarded, but I've never rooted a phone before. Could anyone guide me so I can gain root access to my phone?
Thanks,
Qubn
AFAIK, no root for Marshmallow yet, you could downgrade and try this thread:

Hi,
I've recently decided to root my lg g3 but all methods I found on xda didn't work (king/kingoroot, towelroot, purpledrake, etc.).
My phone model is d855 running android marshmallow update v30b-260-06.
Also i'd like to install custom rom with nougat with good battery life and stability(and root of course).
I know how to flash roms but i can't root my device to install twrp.
Ask if you need any further information about my phone.
Same here i changed my phone motherboad here in. India now kingroot 4.5.6 not rooting this board.
So first i downgrade to kitkate than root easily
U can try it too.

Hi guys,
I hope somebody can help me rooting my smartphone. Right now it's running with the stock Android 6.0, but I would like to install the lineageos 15.1. The problem is, I do not manage to root it!
I tried with no success the:
- purpledrake script (PurpleDrake-Lite_R03.tar.gz) (by the way, my desktop PC is running with a linux ubuntu 18.04 OS and I have a virtualbox environment as guest with WIN7 32 bit).
- towelroot apk
- LG one click root 1.3.0.0
If it's not possible to root the 6.0 Android version, can maybe anybody guide me through a solution for installing a free ROM such as lineageOS? Please go easy with the explanations, I am not very android skilled already read about "first downgrade", but if this is the only possibility I don't really understand how to do it without ending up with a brick.
Thanks in advance for any guideline
Kingroot worked for me initially, and also Towelroot at a later time (which I see you've tried), only thing is it took several attempts (10+) before either app could finally obtain root ......maybe just keep trying with either of those
