Hello everybody!
I have a problem concerning the completion of the root process on my device LG G3 D855P - Rom version V10o.
After upgrading to the V10o version, the root was removed and since then I try to trouble reactive it.
I tried to make the root through various APK's such as: Framarrot, Towerlroot ... I also tried using ".exe" via PC, such as: Ioroot, PurpleDrake, UnlockRoot, among others.
I was not happy in any process so far. I wish someone could help me regarding the realization of root on my device.
Thanks in advance !!
Thanks to some idiot, team codefire left g3 behind for good.
There will be no more root for g3 unless someone else does it.
Only way to get root back is going back to stock rom reported working with root and dont upgrade if you wanna keep root

PurpleDrake is working with v10o.
If you have properly installed LG drivers and USB debugging is enabled, it's good to go.
Got it!
Guys, it worked.
I made this ... I changed the MTP option for PTP then open a window PurpleDrake, it failed to carry out the root, she kept open and open another window of PurpleDrake, yes this worked.
Installed SuperSU and ta all right.
Thanks guys.

Is there any possible way right now to root the ls990 without the use of a computer? For example on my Lg g2 I used stump and then downloaded superSu and flashed roms via TWRP. I am currently waiting on a new computer but that won't show for another 2 weeks. So any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
(sorry for double post, XDA app won't let me edit post.) also should mention I'm on 5.0
Hello everyone
I have just received a replacement LG G3 D855 after cracking the screen on my original. I used SuperSU to root my device to uninstall a load of bloatware system apps. I then tried to unroot my phone because a) Sky Go doesn't work on rooted devices and b) I wanted to update to Lollipop officially as I had done on my old device. I am also unable to reroot with SuperSU as it cannot install the binaries required.
Is anyone able to provide me with assistance in either properly unrooting, or rerooting and then installing Lollipop by other means and hiding root from Sky Go? I have searched other threads but I have no knowledge about recovery modes or flashing. I am on Three in the UK. Thanks

Thanks guys, I'll give it a go
Thank you very much that was incredibly simple - installed lollipop through the PC suite, keeping my apps without reinstalling bloatware, great!
Anyone successful rooted g3s(beat) d722k lollipop (android 5.0)?

Hi, i used LG One Click root and King root. Both work but when you reboot your device, the root access is removed. It might help but .............
For ino, i have a LG G3S D722K 5.0.2
New Method
Hi. Found that link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3129197
Seems it can be done manually, i'm going to try it and hope it works.
Kingroot
In case anyone still can't find a solution. I found only Kingroot would work with my device.

I previously used purpledrake fine on kitkat, but i tried that, lg oneclick, towel root and another one and couldn't find anything to give me a perm root.
The only downside is you need to use Kinguser, instead on superSU or superuser. I know there is a workaround that just didn't work for me.
Now I just have an Xposed incompatibility issue to look into...

Issue with lg g3 beat with lolip 5.0.2
Hello, i rooted with LG One Click (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/lg-g3s-beat-d722-thread-t3110048). Root Checker says:
ROOT ACCESS: Device rooted
SUPER USER: SU FOUND
BUSY BOX: Busy box not installed
and path information, i guess for su
The issue is i can't do nothing else:
Installed supersu but don't update binaries.
And any app that ask for root access do not have it.
Preciate some help (newbi in rooting and so...).
Thank you
Hi Friends,
I just received the FreedomPop version of the G2. The model number is said to be ls-980, which I believe, is the standard sprint model, correct?
If so:
1. Can someone confirm they're using it rooted on FreedomPop?
2. It came with the latest update of ZVH. The One-Click doesn't seem to be working on it, it's Android 5.0.2. Any thoughts on how to root it?
Appreciate all your help! Thank you!
BUMP... any help guys? Should I TOT down and root then?
I rooted my Freedompop LS980 using ADB and the LG oneclick root program out there. it took several tries and different computers. seems like the USB drivers have a timing issue.
After you do that, search for the Lollipop Autorec APK to install TWRP. this is essential for making backups of your phone and installing custom roms if desired.
If you have ZVH, that sounds like you have a custom rom already installed(so you should be rooted and bootloader unlocked). Maybe try to boot up the phone by powering off completely then holding the volume down button to see if you can launch recovery.
Hi I have a lg g3 t mobile 285130e and I ve been trying to root it and nothing works, watching here and there I have not found yet a way to root it. I want it rooted because LG has dropped the updates of system in this phone and it is such a good one that I don't want to change though, Looking forward to try Cyanogen mod or lineage OS android 7.0.1 ...so if anyone could point me out to someone that successfully has rooted one of these phones, let me know, please thanks.
Gus
Have not worked with lg. To Root phone install TWRP for your device model, then install supersu zip. After restart get root checker basic to verify phone is rooted.
