I've recently decided to root my lg g3 but all methods I found on xda didn't work (king/kingoroot, towelroot, purpledrake, etc.).
My phone model is d855 running android marshmallow update v30b-260-06.
Also i'd like to install custom rom with nougat with good battery life and stability(and root of course).
I know how to flash roms but i can't root my device to install twrp.
Ask if you need any further information about my phone.
Same here i changed my phone motherboad here in. India now kingroot 4.5.6 not rooting this board.
So first i downgrade to kitkate than root easily

I have the G3 D850 running Android Lollipop(5.0), and i haven't been able to find any info about rooting it. I have seen Xsposed running on Lollipop, but not on a G3. Anyone have/know of a rooted G3??? Thanks!
Afaik, there isn't a root method for lollipop on the g3 yet...
There are many threads indicating the procedure.
You have tip downgrade to kitkat, root, install recovery, install rooted lollipop.

I have an Unlocked LG G3 VS985. I have been successful rooting it, but then I restart the phone and it does not stay rooted. It's running Android M 6.0

I flashed to 47A and lost root also (from 46A). I read perhaps going all the way back to 10b and then going to 47A from there may keep root. So I tried doing this today (link above) - but instead of flashing what the author recommended, i flashed another rom (aospa 6.0.1); i had root until flashing the rom, but couldn't find a way to keep it, again.
It may work if you flash the stock 47A rom the author provides. I'm not gonna try it again, though. I'll wait until there's stump root like apk that can do it for 47A.

Is there any information on successfully rooting 6.01 on LG G3. I tried a few of the rooting apk's and they don't work.
Try flashing the stock KitKat tot file first. Then root/install TWRP.

Kingroot for desktop, still have to find a phone it cannot root. Give it a try, its chinese but pretty straight forward. Find the official Kingroot thread here at XDA.
Hi guys.
My Android lg g3 is on 5.0.0 and I'm using one click root and it completes the process however then i use root checker and it says I'm not rooted.

The issue arose when I unrooted my phone and went back to root it. Lg one click root worked the first time. I used lg flash tool to unroot. Please help.
If you are on CM, you have to enable it in Developer settings. Are you running stock?

People here first downgrade to 30b, root by kingroot and then install "bumped" higher version for example 30n which cannot be rooted also.
In short you need to downgrade if you want to get root.
