Hey guys,
Just wondering if you guys know if the desire HD can connect to ad-hoc networks as standard? If not is there a way to enable it?
Thanks!
Bump to this, I wish to end my brother's monopoly over the AR Drone... I've got a couple of AR Drone applications, but need ad-hoc supported. Seen a couple of guides (like this one: http://www.ott.net/knowledge/htc-desire-adhoc/ ) to get ad-hoc enabled on the regular Desire, if anyone knows of something like this for the DHD that would be great.
If you flash this file for the Desire Z, ad-hoc works fine.
Although, DHCP wasn't really working when I created an ad-hoc connection in Windows 7. I eventually got it working by enabling Internet Connection Sharing.

try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=866676
(i have the dhd) I patched this but now I can see the ad-hoc but I can't connect
Yes... I specifically got it working by enabling Internet Connection Sharing in Windows 7. This must've assigned some IP addresses or something. I suggest you manually assign IP addresses and see if that helps.
Any success on this yet ???????

What about the Ad Hoc on DHD ICS? It's posible?
im currently runnin the desire hd rom baadnwz dhd port but i cannot connect to the htc hub. yesterday i was using rcshdmix yesterday and it connected. is it possible the server is down? cause im tryin to run the htc sense website and it just keeps loading and never actually goes into the site
I've had the Dinovo mini for years and its only been useful for occasional ps3 browsing, otherwise useless.
Got an HTC Desire recently and it fits into the lid rather well.
I tried connecting it. Pairs but doesnt connect at all.
I hear the Dell Streak and the Samsung Galaxy tablet do connect to it easily.
I wish someone would develop something for it.
I tried bluekeyboard JP but it says its not compatible for HTC desire and doesnt even show up in the marketplace even after using market enabler.
tried blue piano keyboard pairer but that just ruined my bluetooth so bad it wouldnt connect to anything till I removed it and restarted the phone
Is there any other way of doing it? or maybe even if someone has used bluekeyboard JP and has the apk could I have that so I can try that first?
Thanks..
Htc desire running Leedriod 2.3f froyo and CM7 (nandroid)
Sense breaks Bluetooth hid support, did you try with cm7 or just leedroid?
I don't think it'll work with leedroid at all, cm should be fine.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Room for optimism
@raheeljessa
I have a Freedom Pro keyboard which links by bluetooth. Since upgrading my HTC Desire from Android 2.1 to 2.2, the keyboard now connects (in SPP mode, not HID) and works reliably.
To get the keyboard working one has to download the Freedom Pro driver from the "Market".
@mercianary Haven't tried it on CM.. will do and let you know. Sense messes lots of stuff up and cant make CM7 look as nice or have the same music player as sense or even samsung galaxy ui.. WHY DON'T THEY MAKE THEIR FRAMEWORKS OPEN SOURCE DAMMIT??? (rambling)
@oliverjames I tried every keyboard app on the market and read every howto guide online on how and where to connect different keyboards.. they all work differently so the Freedom pro drivers will obviously not work on the dinovo.. Thanks anyway
Seems like only ppl with dell streaks have dinovos.. what a coincidence! lol
Hello,
I've been trying to stream some videos from my HOX to xmbc on a windows base but I always get error 501 on my phone's screen. First I thought that it was because their are in hd but even my old ones taken with my hd2 get the same error.
Any ideas from you guru's?
HI, I hope someone can help me with connecting my HTC One M8 to the Toshiba Smart TV using MIRACAST/WIFI Direct.
To clarify:
I dont want to use HTC Media Link Accessory.
I also dont want to use Chromecast Dongle Accessory.
My HTC One M8 is with KitKat 4.4.2, sense 6 Stock. I believe any android 4.4 onwards is MIRACAST/WIFI DIRECT enabled. My Toshiba TV is also wifi-direct/miracast enabled.
The phone finds my TV as a miracast enabled after scanning through MEDIA OUTPUT option. When I press connect, the TV screen screen shows a pin to use which I put into my phone request box and then after a few seconds, the phone displays " UNABLE TO CONNECT TO TOSHIBA TV "......
It is driving me crazy. I have trie dit many times, reboots etc. but same result all the times. I have successfully connected my previous samsung galaxy note 3 to the same tv using exactly the same process and worked like a treat for screen mirroring.
Is it something wrong with HTC M8? I heard that there is some problem with Sense 6 ?
Anybody please help ??? Appreciate it in advance
