Has the HTC Media Share option always been compatible with the Chromecast or is this new?
I recently did the update to Nusence 8.0 and for kicks swiped 3 fingers on my screen. After searching it found my Blue-ray player, normal and totally incompatible. But then it showed my Chromecast. Selecting it mirrored my screen.
It did not go to the Youtube app directly but it was still able to mirror from that point.
I am not sure if this is something new or just me not having seen it mentioned before.
I tried to connetct my M9 with HTC Media link HD over HTC connect. But without succses... My old M7 show the connection. Is ther a way to connect the M9 with the Media link HD?

I am also trying to get my M9 to connect and failing and have been in contact with HTC support and they are failing to be helpful too.
The Media link HD is broadcasting a wifi signal and if you connect to it via a pc/phone (assuming it's been reset to manufacturer) password is 1234567890HTC
IP address is 192.168.3.1 to login to the configuration menu that is as far as i'm able to get and I'm unable to update the media link or tell it to connect with another Wifi to update. I think part of the problem is the HTC M9 itself and not the media link.

just tried mine also ... no go, it never finds the media link
Is HTC really working on this issue? And what they say?
I have the same problem. MLHD connects and is not visible. We managed to anything? thanks
Moab media link
So I actually just got off the phone with htc about the media link. I have talked with them 3 times in the last week to find out that the m9 in not compatible with the media link due to some new technology that hooks up with smart tvs so they said they were phasing out the media link. I am a bit irritated which I expressed to them but I guess is not the end of the world. On a different note, anyone having trouble getting there voice-mail going? Seems like an easy question but for some reason it keeps trying to get me to do the voice mail to text option which I am not interested in with no option to get my voice-mail started. Any info would be helpful.
Thx, Jasonbc
Shame on you HTC
Wow been screwed by HTC! Been a loyal HTC user for probably 14 years. I was a One M7 user and purchased the HTC Media Link HD device with it. Loved them both! When it was time for an upgrade I waited months for the M9 to be released because of Media Link. Now that I've purchased the M9 I discover that HTC has decided to go another direction with connect options and they've decided to abandon their loyal customers who spent nearly $100 for the Media Link device. This is unacceptable HTC. I will return this phone and tell everyone I know what you've done. Shame on you.
Is it possible to take it from a M7 into a custom Rom?

So you know it worked fine on the M8 also, But I think it's hopeless on the M9
the libraries required would be a nightmare to port over to the 64 bit architecture
It would be great but I'm not up to anything like that
media link
hey everyone
i have m9 also
i contact the htc support
htc says medialink not support with M9
Well it must be crazy ...

What would be a good alternative?
A lot of LED TV's have the possibility to stream directly to the TV so you don't need the medialink.
Also when you do not have a smart tv you can use chromecast to stream from your device.
Hi I need HTC sense tv to use it on my HTC mini + bluetooth or else it won't work is there any way I can get it without updating to peel.
Hi, I have an HTC ONE M9 and a VIZIO M602i-B3. I'd like to mirror screen, or stream videos/pics from my phone to my TV but HTC Connect never sees my TV.
The YouTube app on my phone however, sees and connects to my TV easily.
Can someone point me in the right direction. I've tried a plethora of apps to try and accomplish what I want, but to no avail.
Thanks for any info you can provide.
