[KERNEL] BeastMode 1.9.2 RAGE by freeza [DOK2] [OverClocking] [ZeroLemon] - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Android Development

Here is the BeastMode 1.9.2 RAGE Kernel by freeza based on our DOK2 source.
This is constantly being tested and improved. We really appreciate all feedback from EVERYONE!.
Big ups to Freeza who took the time out and was the one to make all of this happen.
If you really dig this and are the donating or praising type please direct all credits, thank you(s), and donations to freeza
Testing and development will continue from here going forward.
All older versions will remain on AFH and linked in this thread.
BeastMode 1.9.2

-Probably more. Testers needed. whatev.
Prereq:
-Have a means to get back to stock software. This includes an Odin flashable TAR or a recovery flashable ROM.
-Make sure you have a BACKUP! I cannot stress this enough. While I am certain you won't run into any trouble with the kernel, it's always good to have a backup of your system (including kernel[boot in twrp]) beforehand.
Instructions:
-Download the kernel.
-Reboot into TWRP.
-Flash kernel.
-Reboot and chill
-**(If any boot issues arise wipe dalvik and cache)**

-Know a bit of knowledge about how to restore your system or what this root enabled kernel will provide. I won't be able to reply to PMs asking me questions. You should know a bit about what you're doing before you do it.
*Please do not post any issues that you think may be related to the kernel unless you have tried stock.
(I dont mean stock debloated or any kind of modded stock. I mean Stock as Stock can be.)
Again please donate or at least thank Freeza for taking the time out to make this BeastMode Stock Kernel based on the DOK2 source.

Interesting. Anywhere to read up on what's included in the kernel?

I have to ask the obvious question: does this work for the 910t as well? I noticed the OP only says 910t3.

Its the same as the BeastMode 1.0 Stock Modified floating around that T3 users have been using to Root for a while now.
The main difference is that its based on the N910T3 rom so Wifi Calling and VoLTE is working. The previous one floating around was actually the Spring N910P kernel.

That I am not sure as I do not have a N910T any more. I assume it would so long as you are using a 5.1.1 rom as its based on the DOG1 kernel.
Have people been using the other one floating around, the BeastMode 1.0 Stock from the N910P?

Yes, I have used Beastmode 1.0 for tw 5.1.1 many times. It is super solid, and since I don't have t mobile or WiFi calling it was one of my favs. Battery life is very very good on beastmode. I usually go back to it after custom kernels make me mad.

Ya so this would be the same. As I said earlier, the one that was floating around these Tmo Note 4 forums before was the one from the Sprint N910P and it was version 1.0.
This one is based on the N910T3. So I would guess that it works on the N910T. I guess you could always test and confirm that for us all.
This is newer then the 1.0 from Auguest however it still has not been heavily modded at all, just slightly tweaked a bit. Since I am not a Kernel dev I cannot say for sure what has been tweaked but I will find out and update the OP.

Ya, like I said before it was originally for the N910P which is the Sprint Note 4. I guess he didn't edit the text on the kernel name.
I just simply gave freeza the N910T3 kernel and aske him if he could make the BeastMode but based on our Tmo kernel so we could get Wifi Calling & VoLTE back.
With that said though... The BeastMode 1.0 floating around on the Tmo forums was from Aug, this one is newer.

I'm excited for an updated beast mode. I occasionally check for an update to previous one but didn't find any. Thank you for bringing to the 910T/T3! I will run this for a few days (maybe even longer).
Edit: It's very fluid so far. Definitely a fan of BM and Freeza from the previous release.

Battery life is great, it's just a stock kernel with a few alterations.

This is running well on my 910W8 for anyone who is curious.

Nope. Running ovedrive 3.4 with this. No data fix. I flashed rom, flashed this kernel, booted. That's it. BUT I was running a note 5 port and I had no data using this kernel. Also I see there is a new N5 port data fix for T/W8. Im cusious to see if it will work.

I tried this. I keep getting an error when activating WiFi calling. Says unable to connect.
Sent from my SM-N910T3 using Tapatalk

So I spent many hours playing with this over and over again on my SM-N910T3
First I went back to stock ROM.
Then installed TWRP 2.8.7.0. ...wifi calling still worked...
Then installed this file.
Then without rooting, tested the wifi calling. Suddenly, my wifi network passwords were wiped, and my wifi calling no longer works...
I get 2 errors, depending on the wifi calling I'm attempting to enable...
if it's wifi preferred, I get error code: REG99
if it's set for Never use cellular network I get error code: ER082
I also get a startup error that knox has stopped working...
I've also tried removing knox with a TekHD knox removal file LATER ON, but made no difference in regard to wifi calling.
The only thing that's good is that the VOLTE calling is functional now.
Can you guys get a fix for the WIFI calling failures?
Also, i've tried clearing cache and davalik, makes no difference...
I've attempted everything over and over again, testing at each step, but wifi clearly fails after the file you've suggested installing...
Please advise!!!!! Thanks!!!!
P.S.
Also, after installing, in addition to removing knox being a necessity, an external SD Card write fix file is necessary as well, just for people's information to know...

[UPDATE][ROM] tFC15_v0.1.1 Rooted. Deodexed. Themed. 03/18/12

Here we go again.
New leak, new update, new rom.
Same as previous leaks.
Thanks to sextape for initial tar release
Thanks to Calkulin for Stock rooted deodexed rom
Thanks to Tiffany84 for initial themeing of FC05/FC07
Thanks to Team Rogue for FC07 repacked kernel.
Rom is pretty much stock with light ICS touch. No build.prop tweaks yet.
Let us see how it works. So far it looks like some our dreams and wishes were addressed by Sammy and Sprint.
Vibration works with notifications and calls (finally).
GPS is much better than in FC14. Got lock inside the house within 15 sec after initial boot.
I didn't try to flash this rom over any of GB builds but it worked without full wipe over FB21, FC07 and FC14
Here are some screen shots.

}
Installation instructions:
1. Download rom zip file.
2. Download modem zip file (optional)
3. Copy files to root of your sd card
4. Boot into recovery.
5. Do a NAND back up (optional but strongly recomended).
6. If you still running any GB build flash/apply Calkulin's format all zip. This step can be skipped if you running ICS builds. I have tried flashing this rom over 4 different ICS roms and never had any problems.
7. Apply rom zip in recovery.
8. Apply modem zip in recovery.
9. Boot to system.
I'm uploading 2 versions of this rom:
1. With Rogue repacked FC07 kernel for those of you who want to keep CWM
2. With stock kernel (no CWM recovery).
You can download tFC15_v0.1.0 here:
1. http://dev-host.org/ePR with FC07 repacked kernel with CWM recovery.
2. http://dev-host.org/FB1 with stock kernel. No CWM recovery.
Update tFC15_v0.1.1:
1. build.prop tweaks for better battery live and speed (hopefully)
2. 1% battery icons
3. Battery shows charge when connected to outlet or PC
4. Bloatware removed.
5. Shaved about 25MB from rom.
6. Galaxy S II boot animation added.
1.1 can be applied over 1.0 or other ICS build. No wipe needed.
If you coming from GB you should apply Calkulin's format all zip first and flash 1.0 before flashing 1.1.
Version 1.1 doesn't take data wipe too well and you will endup with message "TW Launcher has expired".
I'll try to fix it and will upload update soon.

WiFi tether for root users works fine just have to set the device as Samsung Galaxy Nexus CDMA/LTE as with all ICS builds.
I tried to incorporate the app into rom but it wouldn't work after flash. So if you don't have it you can download it from here:
http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/detail?name=wifi_tether_v3_1-beta11.apk&can=2&q=
You would need to flash modem separately.

Flash modem after you flash rom and you should be good.

Yeah well -- limited window to dink with my ph today so I was sitting on the forum watching for this thread I've been hoping for 2 things since I saw the leak: tFC15, and a rogue repack of the FC15 kernel (which I'm perfectly happy to let SH take his time on).
Anyway DL completed, MD5 checked, new nandroid made, tFC15 flashed and booted up... updating PRL and profile. For some reason the "privacy" item in my settings list looks un-themed, but other than that looking great so far.
Quick question: would it be possible to make a flashable zip of the boot anim Calk is using in his E4GT2 1.1 ROM? (I know, I know, I could lift it out and push it myself, but I _am_ just that lazy.) I think it just looks way better than the stock sprint 4g boot anim...

That was the first thing I changed on the stock tar. I am going to have to download this later this evening. I just can't look at that Touchwiz green and orange anymore. Edit..you can just extract the ICS for ICS theme and push the boot and shutdown animations. It takes 2 minutes if you have the theme

Yesterday I was trying to incorporate it in first release but when I start bootlooping I went with minimal changes to localize problem.
I don't now what and how I did but FC07 worked.
Now more tweaks and themeing needs to be done.
Update will come with that animation, 1% battery icons, build.prop tweaks and bloatware removed.
And about that privacy icon. That option is new. It wasn't there in previous builds so it wasn't themed. I'm terrible when it comes to drawing and I can't make icons myself. As soon as Tiffany makes an icon to match other icons in settings I'll add it to rom as well.

Flashed over Agat's FC14 by just wiping cache and dalvik with no issues. Since this could be our final leak, I suspect Steady skipped over FC14 because he knew this was coming. I think we'll see an FC15 repacked kernel soon.
Hey just curious but what is the benefits of FC15 over FC14,13,07, etc?
I mean my 3G seems a lil better with the new leaks but overall with each of them I don't notice huge change can anyone clarify this a little for me?
Oh and btw man I saw the new camera without shutter your the $#!+ hahah thanx man

Personally I prefer not to have the battery % on my icon and like the way I can turn it off if I want to. It's too small for my 55 year old eyeballs to see anyway. I use Battery Status Bar from the market. It simply puts a clean looking icon on the left side of the status bar. It isn't a bloated battery saver app like some of the others. Looks like this
Thanks for this! Working great so far and big improvement in speed/lag already.
Is it normal for me to have gaps in my network signal on here? I have been at the same spot all day so it shouldn't change much but I am concerned about the black gaps.

Here it is guys! Your very own T-Mobile 4.3 TouchWiz Leaked Rom!
These currently do carry the AT&T insecure kernel, but otherwise are 100% T-Mobile builds!
Yes! This does include WiFi Calling!
Before going any further, please understand, these are built from LEAKED internal test firmware!
This means that there are bound to be some bugs along the way. So far they have been relatively few and this has been surprisingly stable, but there could still be some nasties lurking in wait!
Also, considering the nature of these ROMs, please do not report on or complain about any bugs if you have dirty flashed or applied any mods.
With the Official release right around the corner, I don't have any really major plans for this. Its more to get familiar with 4.3, Knox, seLinux, etc. That said, I may or may not attempt to release any mods for these. Time allowing of course.
What is working? Well, as far as I can tell, EVERYTHING!!! Yes, this includes WiFi Calling, BT, GPS, etc!
But this is where you come in! No one person can fully test a ROM and all of its features, so please post if you find any issues. But as I already mentioned, please only do so if you have clean flashed and applied no mods.

T999_4.3_MJ4_PureStock
This is 100% the full MJ4 build (except kernel). I have not removed Knox or anything, and I have left it Odexed. Zero changes! This is more for devs or anyone who wants to dig into how Knox works and is affecting things. Or for those who just want to see what the full stock build is like. Understand that Knox and seLinux do interfere with root. So if you have problems with your root apps, I suggest you try the deodexed, Knox Free, build below. (I will provide a separate secure kernel later for flashing for those who want to set seLinux to enforcing.)

Installation
If you are currently on a Non-Touchwiz Rom, you will have to Factory Reset
Because this is a Leaked build, I suggest starting clean. Preferably with already up to date MD5 firmware.
If you are not, Please Odin flash the MD5 root66 firmware. (Link to thread in my signature).
Download your choice of ROM, and the MJ4 Modem.
Flash in CWM/TWRP Recovery exactly as you would with any other Rom or Modem!
Thats it! Nothing special!

Thanks to TheLastSidekick, Saranhai, and LoserSkater and everyone responsible for the AT&T leaks!
Thanks to @stratatak7 and @upndwn4par for the AT&T insecure kernel and @loserskater for permission to use it! We would not be as far along as we are without their work!
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to try our all of our roms and report on your results!!!

Known Bugs/Issues
This leak is primarily for the T999 on T-Mobile networks ONLY. You can flash to a T999L/N/V, but will have no mobile data connection.
Most who are not on a T-Mobile network have reported issues with the SIM card not being detected. YMMV.
You MUST flash the UVUEMJ4 Modem/Baseband. No others will work at this time.
I suspect that some of the more random issues may be due to older firmware.
I recommend flashing the UVDMD5 firmware if you haven't already done so. Update via Recovery. Update via Odin.
Knox may prevent some root apps from keeping persistent root privledges.
If using a secure kernel, seLinux is set to "enforcing" and may block root from being granted to some apps.
Suffers from the profile folder problems. /0/0/0/0/0/0/0/0 Every time you flash a 4.3 build, it will create a new /0 folder under the current one and will use this location by default. Manually copy /data/media/ to /data/media/0 after every flash.
Samsung Keyboard is buggy, will jump around while typing, making it virtually unusable.
Let me know if I have left anything out or if you find anything not yet mentioned.
A note about reporting bugs
If you dirty flashed (did not factory reset), or if you have applied any mods, please do not report bugs. Reflash clean and test first. If you discover a bug caused by a mod, please let us know, but flash clean so you can be sure if it is the Rom, the mod, or something else entirely.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I flash this to my T999L, T999N, T999V?
Well, sort of. You can flash it if you want to see what 4.3 will be like. But without a 4.3 modem for your specific device model you will not have any Mobile Data connection at all.
Can I flash the UVUEMJ4 Modem to my T999L, T999N, T999V?
In short......NO!
Will the MJ4 Modem work on older ROMs/Firmware? e.g. 4.1.2 based Rom with MJ4 Modem.
YES! But ONLY if you have the T999!
Why do I get a notification that root access has been blocked?
Welcome to Fort KNOX! If this is a problem you cannot live with, either remove Knox from the Odexed build, or just flash the deodexed ROM.
I just flashed X ROM and now all of the data on internal sdcard is gone! What happened to my data?!?!?
Don't Panic! It did NOT delete any data! The ROM created a new /0 (zero) folder and by default connects to this as the root of your internal sdcard. You need to copy your data from /data/media to /data/media/0/. You will find all of your files are still intact, they just were not being seen because of the messed up folder structure.

Screenshots
Some screenshots of Day 1 & 2 battery use.
First full cycle.
Keep in mind that my battery is over a year and a half old! But this is 19-20 hours on battery, using 6 hours of screen on time (a good bit was set at mid to high brightness), and using TapaTalk which isnt really the most gentle app when it comes to battery use!
Second full cycle.
Obviously not quite as good as Day 1, but I think this is due to the fact I was doing more testing, more reboots, and the Swype Keyboard (from the store, not the included one) was installed and being used along side Tapatalk. Plus, at one point after flashing something, I had walked away and got sidetracked, leaving it booted in recovery for about 20-30 minutes. Im not sure how much of an effect this would have had, but figured I should mention it!
Conclusions So Far
The rom itself seems to be surprisingly excellent on battery! The Day 1 battery really showcases the ROM's battery use, on its own (plus Tapatalk). So if you were to flash it and make good use of Settings, you should see similar results.

Yeah, sorry bout that. I guess something happened during upload on the pure stock Rom. I'm trying again. Deodexed Rom should work fine though.

Ok, the upload was corrupted somehow, so I had to delete it. I am trying again to upload the PureStock rom. Could be 30 mins, could be an hour, so I am going to have to crash for now.
This link is to the Rom folder where it will be located once done.
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=1211
You can just check there and if you see it, it's ready. I will properly fix the link in the OP soon, but for now will link it to the folder as well. Make sure you check the md5sum before flashing!
Sorry for the trouble guys!

Not here. Someone may implement it, but I am not a kernel expert by any stretch. Not quite sure how that would be done right now. If I learn, I will release one. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Installation Guide
For a quick, down and dirty (so to speak) installation guide look below. I will update with a cleaner guide in a few days.
Please before you do anything, make a nandroid backup.
1) Download the ZIP file from the link above and check with the MD5 hash to make sure that it is correct
If you do not already have a 4.3 modem please click here to download the correct modem. Put it on the SD card and flash at the end of this install!
2) Put it on your SD card (external or internal)
3) Reboot into recovery, wipe data/cache and dalvik cache
4) Install from SD card and flash the Rage zip file
5) Follow the steps in AROMA for setup and choose Custom or Default (all apps/bloatware will be loaded) for installation type.
6) This WILL flash the Insecure AT&T kernel
7) Once installation is complete, reboot your phone and enjoy!
8) If you have not installed, make sure you do that after install (uncheck the Reboot on AROMA). Remember the first boot will take a few minutes, let it completely install. I always make sure to install backed up apps after that or install new apps/update new apps from the Play store. After you have done so, restart phone again seems to help everything
9) If when through recovery you get asked about disabling recovery click yes and asked about making sure you have root, again click yes.
Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get even BETTER battery life?
You can still receive SMS (not MMS) if you have data turned off. Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Uncheck Mobile Data. You can use that while sleeping/etc to get unbelievable battery life with this ROM!
Phones usually take a couple battery cycles to get themselves doped out properly. Give it a couple battery cycles to recalibrate itself.
You can also recalibrate your battery with Battery Calibration. Charge your phone to 100% (use currentwidget to make sure its actually at 100% and 2100mAh) then calibrate your battery using the app. Let your phone die completely, then charge completely.
Does Native Tethering Work?
I have not tested it yet, however, if it does not you can go to the link provided to get it to work:
Enable Tethering
Does Google Wallet work?
Fixed in Version 2.0
Is 4Way Reboot included or unlimited multi-window working?
Not yet but Xposed has a download for Advanced Power Menu to offer that.
How Do I Turn on Developer Options?
Go to Settings > More > About Device > Click on Build Number 7 times!
Any other requests for mods that you would like seen, or bugs please report so they can be fixed.

At the time I started making this, I didnt see any with a custom AROMA install and the ability to choose whatever applications I wanted to put in my ROM. Also, didnt see any that included the Modem and Kernels in the same ROM and had to download everything. I decided to put in my own build.prop tweaks (still working/testing some) and went to AROMA installer from amarullz and decided to take DocHoliday's ROM (official release) and customize it with bloatware removal, AROMA, custom install, etc.
Never used Saranhai's / Team Inferno's ROM either

No worries, I wanted to keep mine as stock and debloated as possible. Used DocHoliday's until I made this. Also, I am not sure about that I can tell you though that its working for me right now 4G and all.
Good news! Link is up... Bad news terfile limits bandwidth and says it will take 4 hours to download. Still waiting on AFH for hosting and faster downloads. If you have a better recommendation for another file hosting server let me know! Hope it works out for everyone and you enjoy!

Excellent work!! Loving this ROM, used it all day... Nice and smooth, got almost 3 hours of screen time.... That was off first boot too expect it'll get a bit better.
Really like carbon kit Kat. I like the way carbon fibers is done with the tabs, and am enjoying the lock screen notification. They've done a great job of putting their touch on kit Kat. And you've done a great job building and sharing.
Thanks a lot. New daily for me

Well, thanks too for the build a ROM thread.
Do try Faust's kernel. Lots of goodies there. I get 4h,4h30 on regular usage. Using sio, intellidemand, lower clocks. Of course, if I game, screen on goes to 2h or so.
Default already has lower clocks.they do help with battery. Cheers.
EDIT :
just running a battery test on this one. I'm on faust93 kernel, doubletap2wake on.
Screen timeout = never
Starting poweramp music player
brightness=50%
Streaming through bluetooth
Wi-Fi on
sync on
data off
nfc off
locations off
Kernel settings :
Eco mode on
intelli-plug on
fsync on
GPU ondemand, 320 max
Undervolt by -25000
SIO, 2048 read ahead
Intellidemand 162min 1242 max
I did not play further with governor. To maximise battery life, I might end up going with faux123's settings. I'll update this post with results

TWRP or CWM both work. I still use the one by CHAD.

OP corrected. I use this one one wife's phone : http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
and Chad's on mine. Both work perfect.
Anyone else having problems with mounting external sd? Mine isnt mounting not even in twrp.

Nice! Just realized today that although I thought I remembered doing it I had left NFC on. Which could explain why you're getting almost two hours more screen time.
I'm just running with the packaged kernel, I'm interested to see how tomorrow goes with NFC off now.
Either way still loving it

Disclaimer: SlimRoms is not responsible for any damages to your device.
In the Rom, I left the original SlimLP boot animation, however, I have made a couple of simpler custom boot animations for SlimRoms, which you can find here if you would like to use one of them instead:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/slimroms/general/homemade-slimroms-boot-animation-t3377271
This SlimLP ROM was built for the JFLTETMO, the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4. However, The updater script has been modified, and it would allow itself to be installed on any of the Galaxy S 4 devices. I have not tried this on any other device, but you are welcome to try it AT YOUR OWN RISK.
A huge thanks to the SlimRoms team!

The futuristic and really cool background images used in this rom were provided by The Quiet Learner, you can visit his website for more information and more really great pictures. https://qlfiles.net/
Security Updates
As of February 2016, the SlimRoms team has stopped updating SlimLP with security updates. I have decided to continue updating SlimLP, but only with Critical security updates from the Android Security Bulletins: https://source.android.com/security/bulletin/index.html. Please note that I am only updating Critical updates, not High, Moderate, or Low security threats. I am doing this by hand and may miss one update. Please be advised that this rom is not as secure as Marshmallow roms that are kept up to date. I am doing my best, but I may also be a little behind the bulletins. Please be patient. I decided Critical updates were better than none, but I can only do Critical updates, as this sometimes takes editing over 800 files per monthly bulletin.
Camera
Every now and then, when I use the built in camera app, it will take 2 or 3 pictures, and then the camera picture button will be grayed out, and you must exit and re-open the camera app to take more pictures. This does not happen with Open Camera app, which is available online or at the play store. Overall the camera seems to be working great, I'm not sure why the built in app sometimes has this issue.
GPS
GPS seems to take an unusually long time to get a fix, even outdoors in the open sky. It does work and stay locked for me, but I thought I would share, in the event others noticed this as well. @redx64 has pointed out that you can speed up the GPS by downloading GPS Status and toolbox and use fastergps to update your GPS config file to your region.
Gapps or no Gapps?
For those who do not wish to install, or who are prohibited from installing Gapps, there are some great alternatives. Aptoide works really well in general, and I did take some time to test it with this ROM. As for my apps, Aptoide had all but 2 of the apps I use available, and many alternative apps as well. If you wish to forgo Gapps, but still want a login, app searching, automatic updating (or not, depending on your settings), user friendly tool, then you might want to give Aptoide a try.
The best way to use layers successfully with this ROM:
After doing some testing of the layers on SlimLP, I learned a few helpful tips.
1. The PlayStore Layer Manager App is too "new" for SlimLP. The 4.+ version available from the PlayStore will not let you undo the layers, and hense you cannot go back to stock. Use this older version (3.5) instead, which allows you to install, apply, delete, and undo changes:
https://www.mediafire.com/download/q94w8j7xuyhpudz
2. The PlayStore layers themes are often incompatible with version 3.5 of the layer manager app. Don't worry though, there are tons to choose from here on XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3011075
This Mega thread has tons of them to choose from. If you want these, only download the ones that are zip files for best compatibility. The zips should show up in your download folder, which you can move anywhere and use from the app.
The app has an option to "delete" layers, which actually means "undo" that layer, not actually delete the zip file.
If you still wish to use the PlayStore app and themes, keep in mind that you cannot "undo" your choice of theme. And sometimes themes have an undesired side effect. Two themes from the PlayStore that I have successfully used were BluSky theme, and Elixium theme, both of which worked well, with the exception of the systems -> battery settings chart looked funny.
If you use the themes, I highly recommend doing a TWRP backup first, to make sure that you can always go back!
Governors:
If you want to save battery life, I recommend that you use the "No-frills CPU Control" app and set your Governor to something like Powersave or SmartMax, and your I/O scheduler to Noop. This may affect performance slightly, but will save on some battery power.
If you want to increase performance, I recommend that you use the "No-frills CPU Control" app and set your Governor to Lionheart, Ondemand, or Performance, and your I/O scheduler to CFQ. This will boost performance slightly, but will have a negative impact on battery power.
Powersaving <----------> Performance:
Powersave, SmartMax, Conservative, Interactive, Lionheart, Ondemand, Performance.
Fast Charge:
To use Fast Charge, you must enable it in the Kernel Adiutor app. If you want to set custom settings, you will need to get another app from the Play Store, such as Device Manager or other apps that allow you to control the fast charge settings. Note that some fast charge settings apps do not change the appropriate values to function. The lockscreen may still say "slow charge" as the rom itself does not natively support fast charge, even though the kernel does.
Also, if you have any questions or comments (even if you didn't like it) about this ROM you are welcome to post them in this thread. SlimRoms is not for everyone, since it is rather "slim". No sense starting a Q&A thread for this ROM when we already have a thread here...
Thanks for your work on this. Really miss having a SlimRom, used to run on my SG4. With all the BT issues plaguing MM ROMS currently, I may give this a whirl.
Thanks for this. . Keeping it in my back pocket

Thanks. I did test the Bluetooth, but I do not use it much. It would be good to know if this Bluetooth is rock solid when it comes to headphones, speakers, and such.

I should think BT is fine, as devs had it working pretty much 100% for the LP ROMS.
MM seems to have changed something that hasn't quite been solved yet.:silly:

If I am not mistaken, that has already been done:

Please let me know if I am wrong, but can't we use this version also?

Edited: I now see that it does not work on the M919. I am currently pursuing SlimRoms 6.0, but perhaps I can look into it. No promises, though.

Its a rough build with little updates
As you know you cannot flash jfltexx versions of the ROM
If you want to you need to flash a xx recovery
Could you add super user to settings
(I feel dirty unicorn covered the most ground with its settings menu
Feels like slim always misses something so I finished testing an went back to a previous ROM

Slim is certainly slim. I do like some of the built in features, like the ability to remap hardware buttons in the settings menu, the built in screenshot tool, slim pie, and the slim recent apps bar when you hold down the home key. So I think that Slim has lots of "subtle" features that most folks are unaware of.
No worries though, thanks for trying the ROM out.
Edit: I finally figured out how to take a screenshot while the slim pie controls were open.

Hey guys, I'm new to the ROM scene, this is my first go. Well, second time trying to flash a rom. Anyway it flashed and booted fine but on first boot its having trouble with all the gapps, I assume I used the wrong version of the gapps zip file. Should I just try different versions one at a time? Could that brick it?
Thanks

First and foremost, thanks for giving SlimLP a try!
Second, as for the Gapps, trying different ones wont brick it, but you will need to do a fresh wipe, install the rom and then gapps, as per the first post instuctions. I recommend that you try this one:

Open gapps is my go to,
Then it's dynamic gapps
But here we have 100s of gapps (well like 5-10 to choose from)
Rome are tricky learn everything you can before the flash (read some issue reports by users and don't forget to post yours (log is best)
I've been around since sidekick 4g /.o I miss the keyboard never had to look at it to type
Loving this rom. Most stable and fast compared to the Dirty unicorn and Pacrom I tried before. If anyone is having problem with GPS , i reccomend the following. Download GPS Status and toolbox and use fastergps to update your gps config file to your region.
Here is a screenshot of the benchmark with this ROM using the linaro 4.7 tool chain. I was hoping to try a few other tool chains to see if it makes a difference. So far the kernel build fails with the linaro 4.9 tool chain.

By the way, you can set the display to 320 DPI to get the most out of your screen, too. It is in the settings menu as LCD density.
