Does anyone know where to filter contacts? Usually there is some setting to only show ones with phone numbers for example

Go to Contacts then click the three dots and Contacts to display. If will display the different sources for Contacts. Then you can select the one you want.

Want to change my contacts from phone contact to be google contacts so I can sync with my google account. Any help? Or do I have other options to get my existing phone contacts syncronized with my google account?
Sent from my LT15i using XDA App
Go to contacts press menu, select export... Your contacts would be saved in a single file on the sd card..
Go to gmail account on computer, select contacts and click on import.. Select the previously saved file and you are done...
Delete phone contacts and sync with gmail...!!!
There are other options, let me know if above doesnt work for you...

In your phone go to contacts, then in "contacts to display" and select to display only phone contact. Then press menu, select "merge with Google". This way all your phone contacts will go to your Google contacts.

Where is the select all options?
Suppose that I want to delete all my contacts or all my emails in one shot. How can I do it?
I can't find the select all option. Where is it?

It often happen that I need to delete all emails and I don't have an option for select all or delete all.
I can't even purge the trash folder.
I quote sbaltipodi, I'm not yet an owner of a Galaxy Nexus, but my poor 5800 with Symbian S60v5 have the "select all" function.
I'm also sure that Honeycomb has it in Gmail, why remove an important option like that in a next version of a OS ? bah...

Well happens also to me. But it's not a so urgent need i can leave with that and for now i delete selecting them as soon as i recive.
If i've mass email (more than 10) i wait to connect to a pc and delete all from them but i can manage up to 10 finger tap on checkboxes .
1st of all, I'm on the ACS ICS
After the last time I had an issue, and had to do a nandroid restore, I realized none of my contacts are being sent/stored with he cloud. I lost all contacts I had entered into my phone since the last backup. What am I missing here?

You have to choose store contacts on Google each time you add one not phone. When you choose phone and wipe it, you wipe you contacts. Choose export contacts to Google (your gmail) now to have them there next time.

yeah...that its NOT even an option. It simply saves to phone, ONLY. There is no "settings" under the contacts "menu" to change it either

In contacts, hit the menu key and export, just export them to sd card for now.

Is there any chance that it once prompted you to choose Google or Phone, and you selected Phone AND checked 'default'??
I selected Google and checked 'default' and it no longer prompts me- it just saves to to Google without asking.

BTW, for now?
Util WHEN? lol
I want this fixed, and it to work the way it was designed. Even the iPhone apologists agree this is one of the greatest advantages of the Android phone design, and now it doesn't work for me

Until you figure out how to clear your defaults and how to export them to your gmail. Go into settings>applications>manage applications>all and see if contacts, logsprovider, phone or dialeractivitytab have the option at the bottom to clear defaults. If you have not set any it will be greyed out.

No defaults in ANYTHING. I checked anything pertaining to contacts, phone/storage, and dialer.
I have lost sooooo many numbers because of this

Stop shouting man. Well then do as I suggested and export contacts to the sd card before you flash a new ROM. I would Odin back to stock EC05, create a contact and see if it asks where you want to store it. If the Google option is there then root, flash your ROM and redownload your apps or restore apps with Titanium but do not restore any system data.

Is there a way to manually link people from Facebook to contacts on my phonebook? Some people use nicknames on Facebook so haxsync misses them when it syncs because the names don't match

You mean go to "additional friends to sync" and then go to the contacts I want to sync on my phone book but how so I merge them? I can't link them, I can't edit the connection its just automatic, I kinda miss this fubcionality from HTC sense

Now go to the contact you have in your phone click it go to edit then press setting in edit mode and you'll see join. Find the Facebook one and join them.

Just a heads-up: starting with HaxSync 2.5.x, this can be done by using the built-in Contact Manager.
I've been using GO SMS but I want to try out the stock Messaging app. However I notice, under the "To:" row, how do I see my entire list of contacts to choose who can I send the SMS to? I can only tap the first few characters to show the name I want to SMS?
