Random hot-reboot while making/receiving calls after 5.1.1 upgrade - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After upgrading to the latest rom (5.1.1) I've been experiencing random hot-reboots while making/receiving calls. I have tried repair install through PC Companion and factory reset couple of times with no success. After each re-install the problem goes away for couple of days and then comes back. As time goes by it gets worse and I have no clue what else to do. My phone is not rooted and have locked bootloader. I am currently on stock rom 14.6.A.0.368/R1D.
I would appreciate any help in this regard. :crying:
P.S. Whenever this happens, after the reboot, there is no log of the missed call. Diagnostics section in About phone > Diagnostics only ads another incident to "System incidents" count with no details.

Dialer/phone FC every rom

So i have started encountering a problem in which about 3 minutes into a phone call my phone freezes and then ultimately turns off and only way to turn it back on is removing the battery and then power button.
I have had this problem on every rom starting on CM. After it happened on this rom i flashed juggs, beast, and da bomb (or whatever) and everyone it still happened. I wiped data, cache and delvik before every flash but this did not help.
I eventually just odin back to stock with the stock tar that is posted somewhere in this forum. This still has the problem. I found that it generally happens if i move from my ear and the screen turns on and then it wont turn back off and no menus are available (ak i cant get into dialer if i call bank or 800 number to input a number) and then it just completely freezes and turns off.
Any help with this would be great. I mean making phone calls is probably the most important part of a "phone" working. So i really need this to be fixed asap. thanks

Looks like it might be a kernal problem. Have you flashed back to the stock kernal? If not, I'd look there first
yeah i flashed stock kernal as well...problem still persist
uninstall Google+
no google + never have had it.
Have you tried flashing CM7 Alpha #2? I had that same problem with Alpha #1 release then flashed #2 fixed permissions. Then at first start up i rebooted with GPS on and voila! No more phone FC.
I started with Alpha #1 where the problem started flashed over #2 fixed permissions and same problem. thats when i started flashing the other roms to try to solve the problems but this hasnt helped. So i odin back to stock. flashed stock kernal and stock recovery. and i still have the problem.
What sucks is im just graduating college and im starting to receive calls from future employers and i cannot talk for more then 2 minutes before my phone decides to shut off.
So any other advice???
bump it up. Any help please...::
what it is doing now update: I click on a contact or type a number and press call and the screen turns black except the status bar. soft keys dont work, hard keys dont work. phone is a fail. people can still hear me and i can still hear them but the phone is unusable and i have to pull battery to get out of the black screen.
This was doing it on every rom and i have now put beastmod v2 4.0 still no luck :[
I just received my White GS2, finished the OTA update.
And yes, the dialer FC on me every single time once I push the hangup button.

[Q] Outgoing calls since 4.2

Hello,
i've been experiencing troubles making calls since upgraded to 4.2, tried 4.1.2, hangs up immediately call log says 0 seconds.
there is a topic about it at google issues, but i thought if i'll bring it here it will get some more attention. it seems that removing the SIM and re-inserting it, fix it, but after restart, problem restore.
only few service provider seems to suffer from this issue.
here is the topic: code.google .com/p/android/issues/detail?id=39904

Try factory reset and pull the battery for a few minutes then put it back

any other suggestions?
Bump....
Download a stock ROM from Google Developer, and flash the new ROM.
^^^xdabilly said it.
I just did this recently myself having gone 4.0.3 to 4.1 to 4.2 via ROM wipes and flashes only. My phone doesn't misbehave anymore since I completely wiped it and flashed Google's official image and then went on about rooting from there and now back to Purity ROM.

Phone Call Issues

OK last week a did a restore to [ROM ] Pure Stock Rooted and debloated ROM via cwm. After doing it I ran into a bunch of force closes and restored back to my stock ROM I had rooted. Since going back to my rooted stock ROM when I receive a call or place a call. My phone screen shuts off and I can't get the screen to turn back on during the call. If the person on the other end of hangs up. I can then get the screen to turn on and things seem normal. I've tried formatting, wiping cache, and delvic. I've tried other ROM's like CM 4.3 and they all behave the same way. Does anyone know what other things I can try because I'm starting to think I got a F'ed up sensor issue that may be more hardware than software issue.

[Q] Messages not being received until I turn on screen or initiate a text

I'm currently running on Wicked 9.1
I figured it had something to do with the baseband firmware, so I used Odin and flashed the M919UVUMK2 modem.bin, did a full data wipe & factory reset. Re installed it, found I had a problem with SuperUser, so after poking and prodding the phone is looking to be everything it needs to. I ran RootChecker and it passed, and looked at the baseband version which says M919UVUMK2.
Is there any information anyone can provide as to why my SMS is a little screwy? We're takling, 5 texts come in at once from the other person when I ask them what's up, like their messages don't go through until I send something first. I even tested it with my own phone number. Currently switching to Infamous 4.4 v3 to see if issues persist.

AT&T LG G4 Won't Update! Help!

I'm currently running Android 5.1 Build H81010e.
Since last week, my phone has alerted me that a software update is available. I start installation, the phone resets, and the notification comes right back after 2-3 minutes. It's been in an endless loop for at least the last week. Now my phone resets every 3-5 hours attempting to force the update, but it doesn't seem to ever install.
Anyone else having this problem on AT&T? Is my build the most recent? Any ideas on how to fix it?
If you want root, don't take the update.http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/how-to-prevent-updates-g4-t3148650
If you don't care about root, go to Settings > Smart Cleaning and use the cleaner. It may remove the update file and let you download it again.
Since AT&T blocked recovery mode, there's no easy way for us to clear the cache, so you may need to factory reset to get the update to download again.
Apologies for resurrecting an old post however this is the closest forum topic I can find. I have a G4 and I have the same issue as above. I keep getting a notification of a software update and when I try to install the update it just restarts and then 2 minutes later I get the same notification of an update. It's an endless circle lol. I have tried smart cleaning twice and each time I check for a system update and I get the original notification and the endless loop begins again. Is there anything else I can do to update my device? I'm not keen on performing a factory reset or rooting my device if at all possible. Also I'm not with AT&T. I'm with an Australian carrier.
Many thanks
