What do you guys think ? Can i RMA phone because of this issue or nope ?

First of all, I would like to thank everyone involved in making our Defy's so awesome.
Thanks to you all, as after getting all the info and help, I was successfully able to
upgraded to CM7 1.0-RC1.5-jordan-signed, and after few initial hiccups everything is working fine. Except the battery drainage issue. And I have been loving the new look and feel of my Defy ever since.
Today Morning. I've started getting a new problem. Whenever I want to call someone and I go to contacts, it force closes itself with following error:-
"The Process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I have restarted the phone and no respite from the problem.
Help please....
Did you change something or install a new app immediately before this started to happen ? Did you restart your phone while it was still connected to the PC or so? Some other people solved this problem by doing a factory reset. But you need to find the specific reason or cause in your case and correct that.

Well, the last thing I did last night was that I installed two ADW themes. and also downloaded few wallpapers.
Do you think, the themes could have created this problem?

As there is, according to my information, no standard cause for this problem, everything could be the reason. Other people reported this error on different devices too and the reasons were diverse.
Some have had the problem after installing a new app, others due to rebooting the phone while it was still connected to the pc. Others made a factory reset and then it worked again and the true reason was never found.
It won't kill you to try and disable/uninstall the new themes or wallpapers (if they are live wallpapers).
Maybe there is another specific well known reason for that out there. In this case I simply don't know one.
If you're lucky, others had the same problem and have identified a more precise cause. Then they will answer hopefully.
I would try to undo the last things you changed before and find out the true cause.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Will uninstall the new themes.
And as you said, Factory reset. If I do that, what exactly will happen.
Asking this because as mentioned before, I'm no longer on the version which came with phone and I am on CM7. so Factory reset will take me to which phase?

well the link tells me what will happen on a stock rom. My question is. If I factory reset on CM7, will it take me to the original state or the default settings of CM7.
Flash cm7 again! maybe it helps.

You can flash any CM7 directly via recovery menu if yer on Froyo.

Recenty started getting few more issues.
1.> Phonebook crashing because of FC's. I'm hardly able to use my phonebook now
2.> Last night, messages stopped working. Again FC's.
3.> Today morning the native camera application stopped working.
And I have done following to overcome all the issues with no luck:-
wipes all cache including devik.
Did factory reset
reflashed with CM7 jordon 1.5
All failed to give me any respite from the errors.
Now I have downloaded cm7-110923-0710-Nightly.
Do let me know if this is an OK one. I've faced way too many errors and afraid of showing it off to anyone now as It might crash anytime.
Much to my disappointment, even flashing to newer nightly, I'm still getting the same errors.
Can someone provide me the 3.4.3-36-1.7 SBF? the one in the link provided earlier is not working.
Or any other solution.
The errors are way too much to ignore, and if this continues then I have to go back to Froyo. But I seriously love the new feel of the phone. All thanks to CM7.

Hi every one.
I have a brand new S4 mini and I am pissed of because it reboots it self few times a day, sometimes 1-2,one day I had almost 20 reboots.
There is a saying in my country: how much money, that much music, and i am pissed because this phone costs almost 1000 dollars in my country and for that money it should be composing brand new simphonies
I try various solutions and before going to the store I would like to fix it my self if possible...and one more thing I don't want to break warranty by fixing it my self.
I ruled out this issues- faulty SIM(got a new one, same thing happens)
- SD card problem(with or without it it's the same)
- app related issues(it's the same with or without updating apps, was it on 4.2.2 or 4.4.2)
I don't have another battery so I can't test this one.
I also noticed that sometimes if app crashes(frezees) I don't have the force close dialogue, instead the phone reboots so I am thinking that this could be the problem. Is there a way to turn on force close dialogue?
The thing that pisses me the most is that on HTC wildfire S I could get it to work for 500+ hours without rebooting it my self, and on this one my record is 17 hours without reboot.
Thanks to everyone who will try to help me.

If you don't want to break your warranty, then go to service center with your phone to test and repair.
Other else there not to much to do but try to reflash your stock firmware with Odin (this don't break your warranty), and do a full wipe from recovery after.

It's not Russian and same thing happens on 4.2.2 and 4.4.2
I returned the phone to the store,it returned from service but they haven't repaired it so i said that i don't want this phone anymore,i gave it back and demanded for a new one...now i'm waiting for a new one to come to my address this days
anyway, i think that there is a problem with kernel or something like that but it's up to the service to fix it not on me because it's a brand new phone

In fact my LG G3 (D858HK) is also plagued with exactly same problem. I am on stock LP (20e) rooted. I initially thought that the problem might be due to TWRP so I reverted back to stock recovery but the problem remains. I am trying to search for any help on XDA and other online forums but can't find any solution. I really hope someone has solution for this.

Do u also have xposed installed?
i have this same problem on my D852.... have to pull battery out and then it will boot........ i dont think its rom related, possible root/twrp related? I still on twrp 2.8.6 and it wont let me go to twrp 2.8.7 for some silly reason. Minor issue, but kinda annoying.

The same issue
..
never had a reboot issue, also using skin's kernel and never had a reboot. I heared about ambient mode reboots in this watch but never had one custom or stock.
I think you can take a bug report of your watch with the phone app after the reboot, and during random times, maybe these bug reports will contain the info, also you can download kernel auduitor app to try different settings
I have not rooted either my nexus 6p or the watch... I sometimes get to my watch and it has rebooted??
Is there a log that I can look into and see the reboot time or reason??
watch in rebooting loop
Watch keeps rebooting constantly. Have latest update installed. Only option is to shut down , also because watch gets very hot.
Called Huawei Netherlands, but they refuse to repair the watch because its bought in Dubai.
Anyone knows how to solve problem? (i'm not a programmer)

Same issue here. Just unlocked bootloader and installed Twrp and custom kernel from skin. Got reboots

My congrats for the great autonomy ?
The info you've sent are not enough to analyze your reboot issues.
1) Have you rooted your device?
2) If yes, are you running SuperSU, Kingroot, Phh's Superuser? What version?
3) What the apps that are getting root permissions?
4) Are you using Xposed? What version (e.g. v86.6 systemless with Magisk v8, the v86 stock)?
5) Have you tweaked or replaced the stock kernel?

Much strange.
I'm having an heavily modded OP3 with OOS v3.2.7, never encountered instability.
You should try factory reset asap, there's nothing you may do, since device is completely stock and works for most users.

Not, because OOS is working well for most users, so there is no "fix reboot issues" in any todo list.
Go with factory reset, when you find the needed time.
If problems still persist, contact OnePlus and explain the issue.
I think that some upgrade maybe the cause of your troubles, due to massive change of stuff that the end-users can never see.
You know that Samsung updates often make device slower or keep crashing some system app?
Why excluding that OnePlus have done (involuntary) the same?
Updates are not always guarantee of stability, especially with firmware different than Google stock.

Are you using a case? I had a cheap eBay clear case on my phone and it wasn't moulded properly over the power button, there was no indent on the inside for the button to sit in so it used to turn off in my pocket and back on later and produced battery graphs similar to yours.
Hope this is a help.

Did your problem solved? I am having same problem.
I have the same problem. I am currently on 3.2.8 and also had this problem on beta 9. Few days ago it happened in front of me, the phone was on the desk nothing running in the background. That was kind of the soft reboot, didn't triggered my locked sim, (my sim card is locked needs to enter PIN when phone startup) and after that I checked Settings=>About Phone=>Status, the uptime didn't affected too, seemed nothing was happened. I think this also happened to some other people but they just didn't realize it.

Try using non 4G/LTE SIMS.
I am facing the same problem.
My device is at service center.
Day one:No reboots.I asked them to put some SIM & then check.
I did that after reading your post. No luck. Are they replacing it? How many days since it is in service center?
Facing problem from last 2 weeks.
I submitted once last week. They clean flashed older rom.Worked fine for one day, then reboots started again.
Then this technician had remote session and flashed the rom OnePlus3_16_A.17_161118(OOS 3.2.8):Reboot frequency went too high.
Had to go to Service center for diagnose. 2 days now.No proper response from them.
I had the same issue from several days now, wiped cache, did factory reset, wiped data, nothing worked, I read somewhere that let battery drain down to 0 and then full charge removes electricity or static from the phone, and that may cause random reboots, gonna try that

Seriously? That sounds like one of those hilarious Microsoft Answers sort of posts! Running the battery down will not get rid of "electricity or static from the phone", apart from anything else the battery protection circuit would not allow the battery to drop to zero volts as it's not good for li-on batteries.
The Oneplus 3 seems to like to soft restart, mine sometimes decides to do it 3-4 times a night (rarely during the day) and then is fine for awhile. Tell tale sign is the battery graph showing large gaps in the usage pattern. I would suggest that there is an inherent firmware issue judging by the number of people reporting the same issue on a number of different forums.
