Is it possible to change the timeout value for auto-logout from the XDA forums?
I looked through the Control Panel, but did not see it.
That's not an option I've heard of. Sorry!

Thanks... I thought maybe I was just not seeing it.
Is there a systemwide option you can set? The timeout I experience seems extremely short... I think under 30 minutes.

That is true!
I took it as appearing to be online on the site to others. But the server will log you out after a certain amount of inactive time.

Thank you for the request to clarify. I am referring to the amount of time before the forums log you out, not the duration that you appear to be online on the site to others.
I would like it to keep me logged in for at least an hour, but not permanently logged in.

Did anyone notice that captcha is not showing?
http://www.xda-developers.com/suggest-content/
Strange, it works for me on both mobile chrome and desktop version.
Sent From My Fingers To Your Face......
Yup, works on my side too.
But I've noticed the captcha image got breaking before, but strangely it seems to work after sometime. So not sure about its random behavior.
EDIT: After a few refresh of that page, the captcha image broke. And not getting fixed after opening the page again.
I can confirm the captcha image is broken. I'll flag this to the server admin.
This should be fixed, let me know if it still isn't working for anyone.

captcha image does not show for me, until I click send.
Then it shows up, and then I enter code, and select send again, and get
Your message was sent successfully. Thanks.

Good to know there is a workaround, should help temporarily until the true issue can be resolved.
Or at least help those who read this or try it anyway. :good:

There is a program called history eraser on the play store. Its free. Download and run you will see it has got a erasing option for call log. Try that one.

Didn't work.. I have this problem since September, and since then I updated the OS from 4.1.2 to 4.3.. And I still get this..
I suffer from a timeout when I'm logged in. I have to login every 15 minutes or thereabouts. Doesn't seem like useful, not even performance-wise serverside, because users constantly having to log in take up way more resources than them all being logged in doing nothing.

Just to be sure, you are aware that your timeout when I'm logged in is insanely short? I have to login every 5 minutes or thereabouts. Seriously, at least make it optional or waaaay longer. Like a day or something.

There is no timeout that I've ever seen? As long I as don't clear my cookies, I never need to login.
Are you sure cookies aren't clearing, or are you not accepting cookies?

Oh my, you're right.[emoji14]It's my Cookie destroying plugin;
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/self-destructing-cookies
Luckily it has a setting to whitelist/ignore cookies at will.
Sorry, I'll see if I can destroy this thread to avoid further shame )

Awesome! But the thread is good, could help others who have the same issue. :good:
Not solved !
Unfortunately; I take it all back, it's STILL timing out!
It's not a cookie issue. There's no other website that has this problem for me or my browser (Mozilla Firefox), so it must be server-side.

The whitelist may not be working?
For kicks and giggles, have you temporarily tried a different browser. Just to compare?
Yes, I tried with plain vanilla chrome. It's not the cookies..
Let's see if anyone has an idea then. But XDA does not have timeouts that I'm aware of, so the issue may be somewhere at your end, but we can ask,

Logging out after 15 minutes is definitely a cookie issue. If you don't use cookies (ie, "Remember me!") then you'll be logged out after 15 minutes.
So my "At a glance" on the top of the home screen just suddenly stopped showing weather for some reason. Anyone else notice this or found a solution?

I had the same problems (But on a Oneplus 2 running LineageOS) and for me switching on location history fixed it. Maybe that's why using a new acount works too because it also switches location history on by default
Yes, please elaborate because I've been having this issue since last week along with my Gmail not syncing every hour.

To be honest I think Google did this in purpose to get more information and data about us.

So you're saying it won't work with location history off even if you have location set to high accuracy?

It's working again for me even without location history turned on
Recently, out of nowhere, I started getting "Huawei video" notifications. Does anyone know how to get rid of them? I've gone through the settings, but couldn't find it. Thanks.

Try looking for the culprit app then go to notifications and disable.

Thanks. Yes, that's what I normally do. But I had checked the apps list twice before posting my question, and it was not listed there. I checked again just now, and wouldn't you know it: there it was in the apps list. I must be getting senile
