Bootloop and Bad Partition Table? PIT File Please? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hello!
I got a Galaxy Note 2 second hand and there is something wanky going around.
So the current status of the phone:
The phone will not go into twrp or odin mode without the charger in. However, I check the battery voltage and it was at full charge, 3.4v? ish?
When just pressed power button alone, it goes into a bootloop. So far, it glitches into the galaxy note 2 logo then back to battery with screen. Or other times, it goes into bootloop with only battery screen then on and black screen, which this further repeats.
There are no partitions mounted when observed inside twrp. 0mb so I am assuming that the previous owner tried to flash a custom rom and may have failed at or something.
So my current conclusion of the phone after researching and experimenting with a little knowledge about anything:
The phone has its partition table messed up (ugghghghgh) and there is no platform for the OS or Android to be flashed on to when I was trying to using odin for couple past days.
Any ideas? Anyone have a PIT file that I can test this with? I got some pit file online that I assume that is for Sprint Galaxy Note 2, but re-partitioning with that PIT doesn't seem to do anything.
Any ideas how to approach this?
P.S. it also says that it can't mount /data. Assuming because it doesn't have any partition within the phone itself but could there be any different reason?

It seems to working I think? So now the only partition that isn't being mounted is the /system. I am assuming this is where the OS located. Any ideas?

I reflashed stock rom with success but it is still going through a bootloop. Could it be the battery?

Ok, update. When I do wipe/factory reset, Galaxy Note 2 turns off in the process. I'm now speculating that it is the battery at fault so I ordered a replacement for it. I hope this solves the problem and I will update when I get the battery.

AYYYYYYY!!! I just hotwired a spare Galaxy S4 batter to my Galaxy Note 2 and it works! It boots up into factory mode, , but I think I will figure out how to fix that on my own! Thank you for the PIT file you have provided me! Thanks a bunch! I concluded that it was the battery that didn't hold the charge thus the phone wasn't able to cycle into the boot sequence!

Hard Bricked Sprint Galaxy s3 Need Help!!!

So I managed to Brick my sprint version of the galaxy s3. Like an idiot I overlooked a rom and used the i9300 version instead of my model version(nood move). Anyway I can't turn my phone on AT ALL!! I tried putting in into download and recovery and I get nothing. How do i fix this?? Anyone???
If u can't get download mode or recovery than there is no help. Maybe a jig if u have one but I'm not sure if they even work for the s3.

I thought I hard brick my sons phone and here is what I did: Worth a try at this point.
Take battery out and do NOT put it back in. Take SD card out. Plug phone into computer and attempt download mode. Mine booted right up with this method when it wouldn't with anything else. If it does flash the stock rom through Odin right away and you are good to go.

I just tried that and no luck. sounds like u soft bricked it. I can't get it to turn on period. The only thing that turns on is the lcd light but only for 10 seconds then shuts off. Thanks for the help though!
If your getting a light, even temporary, I'd boot a tinycore Linux and see what mode its in for that 10 seconds

Do you get a screen at all? You say you're softbricked but you also say it doesnt start up. If you are really just softbricked then you have a screen too, in which case you'll just look like an ass going to sprint because they will see you fuucked with it and laugh you out the store. If you are hardbricked then you would have just a black screen. If you have a screen, do some reading like you shouldve done in the first place and fix it yourself.

Mine was hard bricked and it couldn't be turned on period. If yours is soft brick then you should be able to get it back into download mode but you can't get it to turn on at all, then you have a hard brick. I went to sprint and got a brand new one because they couldn't fix it either. So unless they can fix it you will have to get a new one!
Also Hard Bricked.

I think you may have flashed your Sprint GS3 with an international GSM GS3 ROM. I think you are not going to be able to recover from that.

note 2 wont boot at all stuck on grey battery screen !!!

Somehow i Think my /boot partition has become corrupted. Yesterday i was switching batteries to put in an externally charged secondary battery and when i rebooted i couldnt even get to the samsung splash screen.SO i switched back thinking maybe the battery had gone bad but it gave the same error after the phone was just working phone. No matter how long it charges its like i have nothing to boot too so it stays on the battery screen rather im charging the phone or not. I can enter recovery mode and download mode. Ive factory reset from recovery, Ive reflashed stock from odin and still no luck. Ive been searching for answers all morning and night with no luck. People have reported the same exact problem with no answer as of yet.
i found a thread for the NOTE 1 discussing a similiar problem where the solution was flashing a custom PIT and sacrificing 2gb of internal storage to get the phones back , im willing to do that i just need some help as im leaving for basic training tuesday and i dont want to leave without a phone.
has anyone had this grey battery screen problems and found a solution?

I was updating to latest version of cyanogenmod through OTA and after that my phones battery just died I mean it showed 1 percent and even though I charged it, it still was running off the battery and no matter how long I charged it it just didn't boot up
I can load download mode\ recovery but I installed through odin a stock rom and still it boots up and says I have no battery and turns off even if it connected to the original samsung charger, and I can't just turn it on like with the power button I need to load recovery and then reboot.

Do you think that a battery can die just like that with no reason?
I think its a software problem and not a technical one.
does anyone have another solution?
You have good reasons to believe it's a software thing, yet you also don't.
Focus on what you are able to do at the moment.
Since your phone is just a brick now, no matter what your suspicions are, you need to test it with another battery and eliminate possibilities.
Either the rom you flashed bricked your phone, or the battery just decided to call it a life. Either way, you need a battery to test whether it did actually die, or to determine whether it's a true software issue.

Yup it could happen(at least to me). My battery can last 10hours then suddenly when I woke up in a morning my phone dead. Use charger while power on only last to samsung screen. Thought it's a softbrick so tried to reflash but not working. Luckily I have a friend with the same phone so borrow his battery
so I checked with my friends battery and it still seem to have the same problem.
so does anyone have another solution maybe?

Have you tried to clear Data/Cache? AFAIK Odin does not clear them. You can try to reset all partitions with Odin using PIT file and then without rebooting flash stock rom. Hope that helps.

I think so too. Try using a three part firmware, I can't just provide the .pit because you'll need the modem file too.
Try using a three part firmware if a single file one doesn't work
Odin Single File = i8160XXXXX.tar.md5 which goes in PDA
Odin Three part = Modem, PDA and PIT (This repartitions your device back to factory so you'll lose all data and partition changes you've made!!))
--Bhavesh
yes, this is a good idea..but where i can find the three files for back to factory ?

The XXMF1 firmwares might have all three files. I don't know but from what I can collect it seems to be the most likely. The test XXMC8 and MB4 firmwares also contain three files, but, they're test firmwares, so I wouldn't recommend it - and you should flash stable firmware afterwards (after the phone reboots and you see the 'PASS' message on the computer and the phone has started to boot)
Good luck!

Samsung S6 - G920P Impossible to FIX

I have a very strange problem with this device (g920p), Backstory: i got it with the screen broked so i replaced it. There was no problem until the sound stopped working. I pressed vol - and power button but it never came to life.
What i did / Result:
Hard Reset (wipe cache and data, cache partition). / Same status Softbricked
Installed custom recovery and wiped out caches dalvik. / Still Bricked
Download and installed stock ROMS: CPD2, CPB6 (6.0.1) / After the odin procedure, it reboots and then it updates system, later says "optimizing apps" and when finish the phone stucks at "Starting Apps" (for hours) and it never starts. If i reboot it, after the samsung logo it just shows blue light blinking but the screen stays black.
I have downgraded to almost all 5.1.1 ROMS / Same result as above.
I have installed almost all ROMS after wipes (with stock recovery and custom) / no sucess.
I have tried to recover it with Smart Swich but i cant get the s/n, barcodes only shows MEID but no serial.
I have left the battery die then i do all the previuos trys with no sucess, i can just get to "Android is Upgrading - starting apps" screen.
I have tried installing custom kernels after rom installs / NO luck.
Safemode does nothing.
Any clues to get my s6 back to life?
If it's the 32gb version, I recommend flashing the pit file found in the general section.

You need to make sure you are flashing the proper stuff. You can't just go throwing random sh*t at it.
This is the proper PIT for your device: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762636008230
If you were to look through the thread, specifically the general section, as I mentioned, you would have found it
Flash the PIT file by selecting "PIT" inside odin and NOTHING else. Then reboot and flash the stock tar.

Flash the PIT file by selecting "PIT" inside odin and NOTHING else. Then reboot and flash the stock tar.

Let it die completely. Once it dies attempt to boot into download mode until it wont anymore (completely dead), charge to about 15%, reboot. Should be fixed. If not retry. What happened I think is the minute reboot with no signal/baseband/imei etc., except you flashed a rom or something to try to fix it so now it appears to bootloop but really is doing the same minute automatic reboot no signal issue. I had same happen to me when i flashed a rom trying to fix it, it "bootlooped", but being the first boot taking the standard additional time it never made it to the full boot up, until letting it die, then all was good. Nothing else is needed except complete drain of battery

Thank you im gonna try this for sure. I have worked all day long with this device. and i am not giving up until it totally die or work.
UPDATE (Battery not drained yet):
I realized about some things when i flash the stock rom, after odin finish the phone shows a screen that says "updating system" a progress bar loads but only reaches to 32% then says Erasing and reboots, then just hangs at "starting apps" screen.
Same result as previous ones. Stucked at "Starting Apps". After the flash .pit file, i flash the .tar, then when finish the devices reboots and the screen shows a progress bar that reads "Installing system update" but it only reaches to 32%.
That is odd. Did the sound ever come back? Maybe it has something to do with the hardware fix. Wherever you got the replacement from were there any reviews that may indicate others having similar issues or contacting whoever u got it from? If the sound stopped working and then you reset it and etc and now its not booting fully up maybe it does some type of hardware check and reboots if and when it fails.. idk truthfully, if it were me Id go back to looking at the screen replacement
i'll try doing all the previous steps but with the original screen. i'll update the post ASAP
My g920p got exactly the same problem. It die for 2 weeks. I try every thing i can but it can't get out of "starting apps". So i place it in my desk until today i boot it up and actually, it start. Still have no sound, but when it check for update and i press update now, the "starting apps" loop show up. Have you fixed your phone yet?
Sorry for my bad English.
It looks like you really did a number on it!
Good Luck!
Help
Does anyone have the same problem???
Samsung S6- G920P impossible to Fix
Had same problems with my G920P and nobody even replied to my cry for help....thanks guys! No really, without help i had to learn the hard way. Anyways, I flashed the Pit file then flashed a boot file, then a modem file, then last but not least the complete Home tar. Let me know if this works for you. According to my G920P it took me 48 days, and very long nights to get it back up and running. Hard bricked a Galaxy S7 in the process........next project i guess!
