PRL - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

Ever since I updated to the latest update (OH1) my phone won't update the PRL at all! Can someone help with this? I'm on stock and not rooted.

Try ##72786# on dialer pad. Should work. It will not erase any of your data.

[Q] How To Update PRL in Cyanogenmod 7.1?

I have been running Cyanogenmod 7.1 for a while now and am wondering how to update the Sprint PRL without having to revert to a Sense ROM to do the update.
I have read that there are flashable files that will update the PRL (if you can find the latest one).
What I am wondering, is it possible to take from my Titanium Backup or AmonRa backup (using app extractor) a system app that will allow for easy update when I was running Stock? If so, what is the file/app I should be looking for?
I am also wondering where I can get the updated Voicemail that was recently pushed out. My wife got it on her unrooted EVO 4G.
Thanks for any help.

Its not possible in tb. Also, you'd need to flash the zip [I don't know who does them], or do it the old fashioned way of backing up, flash a sense rom, update, flash back.
Also, PM Hipkat , you can tell him I sent you. I think he has the latest VVM apk you want.
To save ya a step u could flash r2r going green cuz it has updates included in the rom

Flash this through bootloader... PC36IMG its updated PRL,wimax, radio and NV,im on TN's Xplod, its a cyanogemod based rom.
I think I by-passed all this this morning. It occurred to me that CM7 has a setting to open soft keyboard on long press menu. I dialed my activation number (I'm on Verizon btw), and when the dial-pad-less page was presented during the call, I held down menu and pressed my option (2) using the soft keyboard. It worked perfectly and didn't even need rebooting. I had been googling trying to find an answer to how to update prl and only saw answers on how you need to flash back to stock. I don't know if all carriers update prl the same way, but just suggesting another option.

Need to update to Jellybean 4.1 firmware

This can be deleted. Problem fixed.

Friend of mine does not use any custom ROM's. She just has her Verizon Nexus unlocked and rooted. It keeps wanting her to download 4.1. How do you update to 4.1 without having to wipe? Is there anyway to just update to 4.1?

If you are able to update then please let us know what the update is. I would like to know if it is in fact the long awaited 4.4.2 update.

[Q] 4.3 to 4.4.4 rooted

Hi everybody. I've been looking for what should i do, now that the 4.4.4 rolled out, to update my phone without losing the root access. I'm in 4.3 currently, and i did read that been on .283, you can obtain root access by flashing the .230 kernel, rooting, and then installing the .283 kernel again. But my problem with this, is that i don't know exactly what to do to get .283. I have a C6506 generic usa, so i should have the .283 update available via OTA and via PCC, but i'd prefer using OTA (since my PC have some issue i have to fix first), so i guess .283 will appear in the update center after i get to .230.
So, there exist some problem doing this(updating 4.3->4.4.2->4.4.4 via OTA)? Will it crash or anything similar :silly:?
Thanks in advance!
Yeah you have to update to 4.4.2 first for 4.4.4 to appear, I just did the same update line 4.3>4.4.2>4.4 but I went back to 4.3 lol not really liking 4.4.4.
I see...but what about root? You was rooted on 4.3 and then you updated through OTA to 4.4.4? So there is not risk doing this?

Yeah I was rooted and unlocked bootloader, I had to relock my bootloader to update via OTA. You can just reroot when you're on 4.4.4

I was rooted on 4.3. I just used PC companion to 4.4.4. Didn't lose any data.
Then just rerooted 4.4.4.

That's great news, thank you!

Samsung Software update for L710t (spark)

I'm on stock rooted 4.4.2 on my Sprint L710t (spark version). I got a notification for an OTA update yesterday coming in at 70.5MB and states that they're security updates and bug fixes. Did anyone else get this and do they know what these changes are? Will I lose root if I update?
I'm currently on OA3 baseband. Thanks.
I have the same baseband but have not received that message. Did you except the update or at least let it download the update then copy it from your system files to your internal or external sdcard? If you download it and save it could you upload it so I can get it from you and look through the update?

Idk if you will loose root access or if it will even allow you update since you are rooted cause you have modified the system file a little! I got the update this morning finally but I couldn't take it cause I have TWRP recovery and not stock recovery and I have deleted quiet a system apps. But you pull the update file from your cahce folder and open the zip file up and look at what all gest updated! The bootloader, kernel, modem and a bunch of system apps and CSC codes are all updated so far that I can see.
I haven't been able to update either since I'm using TWRP. Do you think it's worth going back to stock recovery in order to update? How would I even do that on OA3? I've seen a lot of tutorials on getting stock back on NF4 baseband, but nothing on OA3.

I'm sure it would help at least with our service cause they did update our modem! I'm not sure either about what is the best way to try to update. I'm running a custom kernel and TWRP so I would have to flash the NF4 package and see see it would give me ota-update for OA3 then allow me to update to the new L710TVPU0AOF2. Thats the new baseband. I'm not really sure I haven't ever had the problem of worrying about stock ota-updates. I've always normally had devices that developers post the update firmware packages online for us! I've asked Chainfire if he thinks we could flash the update using Flashfire but he hasn't replied yet. I don't think we will be able to but it's worth a shot to ask.
I just received the same update. Is there a way to disable it
How can I upload it?? Where is the update downloaded into??
