Hello
Because I had problems add a Google account I updated the Google play services .
After that I couldn't open the Google play store .
Now I know to figure out the right version of Google Play services for your Android device, go to Settings -> Apps -> Google Play services, and look at the last 3 numbers in the parentheses.
Could someone with a HTC Desire 526g dual SIM look after the number an version ?
And maybe the Google play store version number ?
Thanks
Couldn t someone please look after that ?
You're in the wrong forum. This is for the 526, not g or +

Try logging in from another google account.
or install this new Play Store.
Or try a factory reset.

because a factory reset will work............it sounds like since the new update maps is NOT available for you for some reason....probably a change in the build.prop what rom are you using??? try a different rom and see if it shows up...also clear the data+cache on play store
I found it!
It does not appear under my apps section.
its under the installed apps.
thanks guys!
On my sister's HTC Wildfire S there is only about 20 apps in the Play Store, and I can't figure it out at all!
The phone is not rooted or modified in any way as far as I know. I've tried to use my own google account to search for apps, but that doesn't work.
I hope you can help me and my sister in some way
If you have any ideas, please post them
Not sure if this is the correct section so could someone move it if needs be.
I've been a lifelong iOS user but finally got bored and ordered an Android phone. I know all about jailbreaking, but know absolutely nothing about rooting and I've been told this is where I'll find whatever info I need.
I have a few general questions and would appreciate if someone could shed some light as I need to get around the basics before I start messing with rooting etc.
I ordered a Nubia z7 Mini which looks like an amazing bit of kit for the price but since it's a Chinese phone there's a few things I'm unsure of.
Would it come with Google Play Store installed? If not, how do the Chinese get their apps?
Also, I've seen that you have to root the phone to install Google apps. What Google apps, and why do you need it?
Lastly, if you need to root the device to install these items, is there a way to unroot it afterwards and keep the newly installed apps? The reason I'm asking is because on an iPhone, certain apps won't work if it's jailbroken(like the Barclays banking app which is essential), so just wondering if it's the same with Android devices.
Thanks for any help.
1- it depends on the seller you buy from . some will install the gapps for you and some not . but don't worry it's so easy to install
the Chinese have their own app stores
2- The Google Apps (or GApps as they are commonly referred to) are the proprietary applications by Google included in many Android devices. Most of the applications can now be found and updated via the Google Play Store. Some of the apps include the Google Play Store itself, Google Talk, Google Sync (for adding and synchronizing Google accounts), Google Backup Transport, Car Home, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Search, Google Voice Search, Google Music, and Google Docs.

3- i think you can unroot z7 mini using the supersu app , i see the unroot option .

Thank you for the explanation. I've got my phone and slowly getting the hang of it.
So why can you not install gapps on a Chinese phone without rooting it? And if I unroot it, will gapps disappear or stay behind?
Reason I'm asking is because I need to use apps which won't work on rooted devices, but I don't want to loose gapps.
U wanted airdrop on Android. Or hate Chinese apps and want an alternative to the ****ty apps which were randomly uploaded on the play store by some Chinese guy? Don't worry, cus I just got a new widget in my phone called nearby sharing, and the feature API that u go to once u click the widget looks way better?
To get this feature:
GO TO SETTINGS
SEARCH FOR GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES
FIND GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES
GO DOWN TO THE OPTION WHICH SAYS "DETAILS IN THE PLAY STORE"
WHEN U GO TO THE PLAY STORE
JOIN THE PUBLIC BETA
WAIT FOR A FEW MINS, EXIT THE PLAY STORE AND REPEAT THE PREVIOUS STEPS
U WILL HAVE TO UPDATE UR GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES TO THE NEW BETA THAT IS AVAILABLE
THATS LITERALLY IT BOIS. WE GOT IT. APPLE CAN LICK MY M31 HAHAHAHAHHAHA
for da noobs.
