Could anyone please explain why the google wallet is now on the play store but from what I have a CDMA Verizon Galaxy Nexus is not allowed to download but other phones are?
I also know that you can get an APK for google wallet and install it just the same but im curious as to google's reasoning behind why we can actually download it off the store.
Use Chrome to Phone, visit the Google Wallet page in the Play store on your computer and send the link to your phone. Open the link you sent with market and install it. You can then update the app (or should be able to) via the market when there are updates.
As for why you can't directly install it on your phone, talk to Verizon. I'd guess it has to due with Google Wallet competing with their mobile payment initiative, ISIS or whatever it is called.

Thanks for the work around but it doesn't let me saying it isn't available by my carrier or country.

Because Verizon is being dickheaded (and also violating the terms of their Auction 73 spectrum acquisition), and Google isn't telling them to shove it.

How I got it working
So I was messing around with my Galaxy Nexus and my buddy who has AT&T added his account to my phone. He then went into the Play store, searched for and installed Google Wallet. With his account still on the device, I registered for Wallet and afterward, removed his account. Haven't had the chance to test if it works in a real setting but I will tomorrow with my morning coffee.
There wasn't any need to install an apk from some random source, it was straight from the play store on the phone. The only drawback is that it doesn't show up under my apps.
Could someone else verify this works for them?
why i cant find the Google MAPS and other google apps in the Play Store when using my phone, but when checking it on google play website on pc i see it??

because a factory reset will work............it sounds like since the new update maps is NOT available for you for some reason....probably a change in the build.prop what rom are you using??? try a different rom and see if it shows up...also clear the data+cache on play store
I found it!
It does not appear under my apps section.
its under the installed apps.
thanks guys!
Other than looking at my CC purchase report. Report is OK. I can filter by "Google" and I believe that all the paid apps are included.
But is it possible to do that in Google Play Web or App?
In the Web I can find only all Apps I downloaded and All Apps which are installed. But they are not categorized as purchased or not.
Any ideas?
I wish google would do this also in their play store app, I'm sick of seeing every app I have downloaded over the last 3 years in the all apps tab an I can't even delete them from the list.

Exactly. I can see only a list of every ****ty app I downloaded. It's really annoying that we can't filter the list.
Ditto! I remember the "old" Google market where you can look at just the purchased apps, but now with Google play you can't.
I wish they can create some way to sort.
Now, you might be able to see all you purchased apps on a pc. I think.

I might be wrong, but I think there is a list of those apps if you look through the Google Wallet website.

Nice ! I never even thought of that. G.W. is useless in Canada so far, so I never would think to check that, but lo and behold. Thank you !
It would be nice if Google Play Store could do that though, but at least this way I can view the list, then search the market for specific purchased apps, rather than scrolling thru a jumbled, unorganized mess of crapps I have installed in the past.

No problem. I do agree though, the Play store app needs search filters that allows that.

You can see a list of all purchases if you log into the Google Wallet site, however it also includes all purchases from the play store (music, magazines, offers), so it might still be too much information. My advise would be to install appbrain on your phone and sync the apps to appbrain. It will compile a list of paid applications for you and is a handy way to see how much you have spent in the market. The only short fall of this method is it will not account for apps that were purchased and removed prior to syncing.
Finally!!!
A solution we were looking for: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...apps-in-one-place-with-the-legacy-play-store/
So we have two ways so far:
1) Google Wallet page
2) Hacked old Playstore app
Quick one...
On my GNex, when I try to go to the play store to buy a nexus 10, it redirects me to the mobile play store and all my efforts to not do this have proven fruitless.
Anyone know how I can access the full play store from my phone??

Well, it's supposed to ask you what you want to open the link with. You most likely have chosen Play Store links to be automatically opened by the Play Store app. Clear defaults in the settings (Settings->Apps->Google Play Store->scroll down a bit and clear defaults) and then give it a try.
So obvious... many thanks!

HA, I'll see you in the Nexus 10 forums! I'll be grabbing one too (maybe after a 1-3 months) and it should be an amazing tablet.
Anyway to get around it?
In the last few years I've installed dozens of ROMs in several devices from smartphones to tablets and NEVER had to pay again for any app.
Your purchases should be tied to your google play account, not your device or rom.

Adding on to that all you have to do is log in to the Google Play account you bought the apps/games/movies/music on and then find that product in the google play store. Since you bought it before it will let you download it without paying again.
A great app for making a list of what you have installed is My App List (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.projectsexception.myapplist&hl=en). It will also take you to the play store and let you install each app on the list. So run it before you flash, store the file it creates some where other than your device's storage, flash, install the app again and then copy your list back where My App List need to find it and go put your apps back.
