Is the battery overheating? Maybe someone else can chime in on this.

If charger is unplugged the device turns off

I got this weird issue. I charge my phone awhile ago then unplugged it after it reached 100%. After a few minutes, i tried surfing the net and sending an email then the device suddenly turned off and restarts. It just keep on restarting after the samsung animation. I tried plugging the charger and it went on normally. But when i tried pulling the charger the issue comes on again and shut the device off again and restarts. I flashed DN3 rom few days ago. is it the battery (i hope not) or a software or ROM issue?

Well surely common sense should dictate to try another rom or two, If issue remains you know its a hardware problem.
By bet would be on battery.
Sounds like a dud battery to me
same problem ! have you found a solution ?

have you found solution
and now this happened to my phone. any solution to fix this? buy a new battery or because other hardware?
I've had the same problem. Phone worked when fully charged and not used intesively.
If I turned a game or app, it restarded with a few % of the battery.
Place your battery on flat surface and see if it's bulky.
I had the same problem before. In my case it was because of the battery so I had to replace it. Works fines now. Using DN4 btw.

Test with other battery. My guess is that your battery is damaged.

[Q] Camera flash on when charging

Hi all, might be a stupid question but my camera flash lights up dimmly and stays on whenever i plug the tablet into charge (ie stays on all night). I dont know anyone else with a tab s to compare so asking here, not looking forward to returning it/sending back to samsung centre for weeks as need it for uni.
Apparently this problem also exist for the new S6 and S6 edge. I don't have my 10.5 with me right now so I can't test it unfortunately.
Just checked my T800 10.5 no led light while charging. phew
EDIT: download an flashlight app and turn the led off and on a few times and see if that fixes the problem, some.
John.
Just tried a flashlight app no luck, it's not a huge issue as I don't think ill ever take photos at night with it. I couldn't find any other mentions of the problem online, might look at the s6 problem tho thanks for the info.
I just checked mine and it doesn't light up when plugged in.
Mine does exactly the same. Never used to.
Try changing rom
Just checked my rooted T800 10.5, no led light while charging either.

As I see, I would have just said flash.
3 years on I am also experiencing this issue on my Samsung T805 Tab S. (6.0.1). Did anyone fix the issue?
I had the same or simular problem.
After putting in the charge cable one night the flash light turned on and would not go off even when the tablet was shut down.
I tried
- draining the battery completly
- installing flashlight apps
- change to different rom
- Lineage
- Unicorn
- replaced battery
and eventualy had the flash light removed all together.
Now it still works but the battery drains in 2 hours even when off(!)
Strangly the roms also keep looking for a mobile network although its a T800 wich has only have wifi and no lte(hence the drain issue i think)
I never found a good sollution and gave up.
Good luck resolving you problem....

SM-P605 pining for the fjords...

Gidday
My Galaxy Note (SM-P605) a couple of months ago started playing up on me....it would randomly shut down while I was using it, this could happen using any app and happen at any time, after using if for a couple of minutes to an hour...anyway, in the end the time that it would shut down became quicker and it now wont boot up at all...I have attached the charger and there is nothing, no lights, nada...
So, can anyone enlighten me as to what it may be? Could it be that the battery has shat itself? I have removed the back cover to inspect it and it looks normal, not like in some videos on Youtube where the battery itself has "pufffed up"...this I guess indicates a battery that has snuffed it
Any help appreciated...
cheers

6.0.1 - Note 4 and Note Edge - Power issues

My wife got a Note Edge refurbished for Christmas and it came with 6.0.1. She has had power issues where after it drops to below 30%, it will reboot randomly and then be stuck in a boot loop. I have the Note 4 and have a similar problem. However, mine gets to around 15% and shuts down. The screen shows a 0% icon stating to plug in. After plugging in, it says 15% and continues to charge but not reboot.
Does anyone else have power issues on 6.0.1? That is the only constant between the 2 phones. I just updated to CPJ1 from CPD1 to see if that helped and it did not.

I guess I can't complain if I just get the 15% and shutdown with a boot screen showing 0% icon. Interesting.

Sounds like a new battery is needed. I replaced mine and all my power issues went away. I was having issues like this. I purchased the powerbear battery replacement from Amazon.

Why is it only on 6.0.1? I had no issue on 5.1.1 and only just switched to 6.0.1.

Try a factory reset then first. I was on 6.0.1 when I replace my battery. I tried factory reset first but still had issues....once I got a new battery my issues went away.
