Lmao he just didn't link his subject. Here's the YouTube video.. It's not translated but I have to say, I'm loving the Feel UX lock screen. That is one think I definitely would love ported.

You can accomplish this UI with the current apps on the playstore... Desktop Visualizer, Widget Locker, Multi Live Wallpaper and a little Gimp/Photoshop to make the wallpaper and some time... boom you have a very basic UI I think sharp isn't going to go anywhere with this.

I don't get why they put icons inside of squares. Its like putting an icon inside an icon which leaves you with a 3 column app tray. Think about all the scrolling you'd have to do.
The lock screen is cool and I'm sure the app store will have something similar soon enough.

Lock screen does look awesome.

its similar, use multi-live-wallpaper and set crop to "Fit to screen" (this is my version of it) if anyone wants it. I personally do not like this UI but I thought i would take a step toward what some ppl want. Ill make the icons 2mrw if you guys want em. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ffkbkwgxqvm681a/FEELUI.rar Enjoy!

this is more than just a home screen transition.
nothing out there (that i have seen at least) gives you vertical scrolling on the home screen as well as horizontal scrolling.
also, the lock screen is more than just a widgetlocker theme. the clock wont be on the bottom, and it wont scroll, the lock screen wallpaper wont scroll, you cant slide the lock icon up, and get the options, you dont get the nicer looking missed call/mail/sms pop ups.
this goes MUCH further than just some skin.
I just read an article about this from The Verge and i'm intrigued. The developers created Next interface and seem to be onto something. They feel the desktop is an unnecessary step to get to the app tray. Fair point, why have a bunch of apps then hit a button to get to your other apps? In the quest to be pc-like, Android has a desktop and widgets. Great, but I do see the point being made here. Oh, and notifications were redesigned.

A full port would be amazing. It would become my daily for sure, it's so creative and the design and fonts and everything is so beautiful. I love clean looks.
Would love a port...but its not gonna be out for a while...considering Feel UX phones arent even out yet in Japan.

Very impressed with the slick lockscreen, but not so impressed with the basic UI otherwise. Although I couldn't understand what he was saying, adding lines in between rows of icons is not a feature.

i cant wait till AOSP comes out and more themes gets developed. I have seen some awesome ones here, few but still special.
But who here likes touchwiz? or dont care about the looks and feel of it?

I think it looks and feels ok. But the one thing that stops me from using it is the way folders look and work.. So I just use other launchers and I can still benefit from the good things that touch wiz has
I like my Roms the way I like my women..... Clean and smooth

Coming from Sense, I love touch wiz. Besides, you own wallpapers and stuff make it all look the same in the end to me. Sense felt like it had so many unneeded elements to it
I use and like it.

the TW on the s2 is dull, the s3 TW is much better. Given that some prefer not to flash things, my fav launchers are Apex and Nemus.
I like it. But SG3's Touchwiz is much better
I have the GNote and the Galaxy S2, use touchwiz on both.....I do switch between Nova and touchwiz. I have loved touchwiz since the Samsung vibrant. Don't know I love it and prefer it, I just do.
I hate how people whine about tw launcher. Tw is much more than a launcher. In fact i dont like ANY stock launcher. I always end up putting go launcher or something else over it. But tw is awesome. Slide to call/text, swipe finger on notification bar for brightness, the freaking music player is the best i have ever used. Seriously id prefer tw over any ui, even aosp

I love touchwiz, but I hate the launcher. Mainly because it doesn't rotate.
But All the features in the framework are amazing. The phone book is great. The media players to me work the best of all the company specific, and unlike most framework it allows file sharing without 3rd party apps. Like if I want to send my friend a song.
I think Sense is too heavy, Blur doesn't really add anything but an ugly color scheme (but decent widgets), LG devices actually has a nice framework. But I prefer TW.

I was going to say the exact same thing. The UX launcher from the S3 handles folders a lot better. I actually found myself with way more folders than normal because they worked so much better.
I'll admit I have yet to try any aftermarket launchers, but the I really like the S3 launcher.

i dont mind the look of touchwiz on the s3. it looks smooth and fast, and im so glad that they finally let you customize the dock. but the only thing that really bothers me is ridiculously ugly folders. forces me to have to download apex or go laucher themes. on apex i can put two apps in a folder and it looks so simple and nice. in touchwiz it makes it look like a folder on your windows laptop and doesn't adjust the icons to how many apps are in the folder.
I just started using Apex and am adjusting from GoLauncher EX. That was adjusted from TouchWhiz. Each to their own when it comes to preference. There are some nice features I like about all of them... but so far, GoLauncher appears to be the most versatile when it comes to a customized a launcher as a whole.
My two cents.
I'm still waiting note 2 to arrive to Turkey. I'd like to ask has anyone tried GN2 with other launchers like nova or apex. If than, what do u lose?
I think it's hard to pull down notification bar one handedly and gestures included in nova and apex are helpful in this situation.
I think you lose PageBuddy, which is helpful when you pull out the Spen.

I think you got me wrong; I'm talking about pulling down the notification bar with your thumb of right hand when holding phone in your right hand.
In nova you have gestures, swiping down anywhere on the screen is enough.
I use Go Launcher and it runs extremely well. No problems found. Gesture support is included so pulling the notification bar down with a gesture is very useful on this big screen.
I tried Nova but 'Go' is better as it has a lot of extra 'bolt on' apps.

Hi...I am also using go launcher..everything is working fine except for 1 thing. With go launcher, when I remove the s pen it dosent pop up the s note page automatically. When I go back to touchwiz this feature works fine. Does this happen on your device too?
Thanks

I just tried it and can confirm the pop up S-Note does appear without any issue on Go Launcher, when the pen is removed.
I take it you've enabled this feature in the S-Pen settings?

My apologies...what i really meant was the page buddy feature was not available when extracting the s-pen with go launcher..the pop up s note works fine when selected in the s pen settings on either launcher.
Thanks.
I was asking the question (on another forum) about "what we loose" if we use another launcher.
So you can confirm everything works ? (except Samsung widgets I imagine)
What about default gestures like Covering the screen, sweeping for a screenshot, shaking for updates, moving the hand over the GN II to wake up
Anyone else having the "shadow bug" on Apex? How can it be fixed please?

Do you know what bothers me on Go launcher Ex? Indeed, it IS the best launcher I´ve seen so far as well, but what still makes me using another launcher (Nova) is the App Drawer. It doesn´t matter which theme I´ve tested...the drawer always looks cheap or is lagging on Go launcher Ex.

The gestures all work including those you mentioned and split screen, so do all features with the S-Pen. Anything that's a Touch Wiz feature such as Samsung Widgets, Page Buddy don't. There's little that don't and you get more pros than cons using another launcher.

Salut!
Yes I had the problem using APEX either on stock or omega 3 ROM. Was very obvious with transparent widget i.e. APW and very annoying.
There is a fix for the S3 saw that from another thread were a member stated that fix should work for our NOTE 2.
So I gave it a try...
The fix is here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1894633
Somehow using CWM and that s3 fix ZIP did not work for me. So I used root explorer extracted the libhwui.so renamed the original one in /system/lib and copied the extracted one
And voila indeed fixed after rebooting
There might be some side effect i.e.: in EMAIL when scrolling there can be flickering flashing on some mail with HTML/images but it seems only if DEVELOPER option force GPU rendering is checked...I'm not 100% sure on that one but noticed it on some mail
So I confirm the statement of the XDA member the S3 FIX is functional on the NOTE 2 but possibly with some side effects....
Cheers
Jean-Marc
Hmm I'd better stay away from side effects and wait to see how it goes with a later fix maybe
Using Nova Prime. Good.

I'm considering buying a Galaxy Note 2 this week.
My biggest concern is, how integrated are the Stylus features into the stock Launcher?
I really want to use Nova Launcher, I hate touchwiz. My concern is that I will miss out on Stylus functionality by changing launchers.
Anyone have any insight?
Thanks
You will only loose page buddy (special home screens that appears only when some events happen (s pen removed from its slot, earpiece plugged in ...).
Everything else will work fine, for example you can use air view in the mail widget with nova.
