Daydream? - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

I've been looking for interesting Daydreams. So far there hasn't really been any standouts. Has anyone discovered anything cool and perhaps functional/useful?

Beautiful Widgets has a pretty nice weather daydream. Not a feature that I use regularly though...

Clock Plus expands the functionality of stock daydream feature set.

Title says it all. I have seen a bunch of them, but haven't really found any good reviews of them all... e.g. a comparison. What do you all use?
Personally, I find the built in HTC ones to be the best I've used. Beautiful Widgets has some but I think they're not quite as good as HTC's.
I agree with frankspin; I have tried beautiful widgets but I find I prefer HTC's also.

I like HTCs also, but Sense is pretty slow and I prefer LauncherPro, which means no Sense widgets.

A year ago I would have agreed but I think you need to give it another go this time around. It's much improved from 1.5.

good wallpaper for ics

im looking for a wallpaper that goes great with the whole black and blue look of ics. ive done some searching in google images but cant really find one. Mind sharing one of your personal favs?
I like the ICS one with circles and the wavy blue ICS one. They're pretty damn nice.

I personally don't like the wallpaper, but that's just me. I have to say, the battery on 3-31 is absolutely incredible. In the 25 min screen on since I flashed it, playing graphics heavy games, I lost 8% battery. Amazing. And this is my current look.

Just something I like is to change the width margin for the dock to large. It just looks cleaner to me. You can see it in the screenshot.

im using AOKP build 28 buuuut im wondering what rom Amphibliam's using to change the margin like that o,0
AOKP is pretty fubar at this point. It'll be on my Nexus on day 1, but for this phone, no. I use aero's CM9 builds. Only bugs are some random issues with games, but all mine work on either my phone or Flyer so I'm good, as well as no flash w/ stock camera, and no rear video recording. Everything else works. I use Apex Launcher to do stuff like change the margins. I used to use the paid Nova, which I like better, but my widgets disappeared every few hours. 0_____o
Looks really good.

You can find decent ones with the Zedge app and if you apply via the app it doesn't force you to crop it.

You can accomplish this UI with the current apps on the playstore... Desktop Visualizer, Widget Locker, Multi Live Wallpaper and a little Gimp/Photoshop to make the wallpaper and some time... boom you have a very basic UI I think sharp isn't going to go anywhere with this.

I don't get why they put icons inside of squares. Its like putting an icon inside an icon which leaves you with a 3 column app tray. Think about all the scrolling you'd have to do.
The lock screen is cool and I'm sure the app store will have something similar soon enough.

its similar, use multi-live-wallpaper and set crop to "Fit to screen" (this is my version of it) if anyone wants it. I personally do not like this UI but I thought i would take a step toward what some ppl want. Ill make the icons 2mrw if you guys want em. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ffkbkwgxqvm681a/FEELUI.rar Enjoy!

this is more than just a home screen transition.
nothing out there (that i have seen at least) gives you vertical scrolling on the home screen as well as horizontal scrolling.
also, the lock screen is more than just a widgetlocker theme. the clock wont be on the bottom, and it wont scroll, the lock screen wallpaper wont scroll, you cant slide the lock icon up, and get the options, you dont get the nicer looking missed call/mail/sms pop ups.
this goes MUCH further than just some skin.
I just read an article about this from The Verge and i'm intrigued. The developers created Next interface and seem to be onto something. They feel the desktop is an unnecessary step to get to the app tray. Fair point, why have a bunch of apps then hit a button to get to your other apps? In the quest to be pc-like, Android has a desktop and widgets. Great, but I do see the point being made here. Oh, and notifications were redesigned.

A full port would be amazing. It would become my daily for sure, it's so creative and the design and fonts and everything is so beautiful. I love clean looks.
Would love a port...but its not gonna be out for a while...considering Feel UX phones arent even out yet in Japan.

Yep...HD widgets is the way to go.
Got it on sale recently and it is excellent. The customisation options go real deep. Some beautiful clocks and weather options.
I don't use any other clock or weather widget on any of my devices anymore now.

Even Fancy Widgets is better than Beautiful Widgets
Ditto. Bought it because I had read so many good comments about it in the past, but I was kind of disappointed in it. Back to "Make Your Clock" where you just roll your own from scratch.
I've had this one for a while and like it quite a bit. Pretty broad selection of themes, though as others have said, it has been a while since much new material has been added. Never had any significant problems with it in terms of functionality, either with my Evo or my GNex.

Yeah I have a feeling that will get reworked.
Double pull down sounds like cluttering to me, I hope not.
Seems ok. I would think of an alternative method to access those controls though. They are kind of hidden away to be fair. Maybe implement tabs such as in Sense or Miui.
cool i like it

Double pull-down for settings make total sense to me. One thing I don't like about the SIII and TouchWiz is with the quick settings and everything at the top there is less room for notifications (as the article points out). It also looks cluttered and it seems like there is way too much going on on the pull down menu. Plus I don't change my settings that often but when I do it's somewhat awkward to pull down the notification bar and then click the little settings icon. It would be easier to swipe down once for notifications and then swipe down a second time for settings. Or, what they could do is have two finger swipe down go directly to quick settings.
This is from a sense 1.0 rom. Obviously custom but works similar to the 4.2 2 panel set up.
Super convenient.
Interesting how much stuff the devs on xda have created that is merging into official android.

I was gonna say...yeah that's not a Sense 1.0 ROM.
It is. It was put together by tommy tomato for the evo 4G. It is called classic 1.0.
Quite possible it originated on 2.1. I was just showing people that have only used aosp stuff that is works really well with the double panel pull down.

This was a feature taken from newer releases of Sense that were brought to older releases. My first Android phone was an HTC with Sense 1.0...the toggles were never seen until Sense 2.1 got released, then devs got to porting them to older releases.
Not really a "classic" rom if it has a bunch of Sense 2.1 features...
Hey I didn't name it. I just used it.

I don't know about anybody else but I'm sold on the double notification bar. Seems like the best middle ground between notification widgets and the settings menu without obstructing the notification panel.
