You can accomplish this UI with the current apps on the playstore... Desktop Visualizer, Widget Locker, Multi Live Wallpaper and a little Gimp/Photoshop to make the wallpaper and some time... boom you have a very basic UI I think sharp isn't going to go anywhere with this.

I don't get why they put icons inside of squares. Its like putting an icon inside an icon which leaves you with a 3 column app tray. Think about all the scrolling you'd have to do.
The lock screen is cool and I'm sure the app store will have something similar soon enough.

its similar, use multi-live-wallpaper and set crop to "Fit to screen" (this is my version of it) if anyone wants it. I personally do not like this UI but I thought i would take a step toward what some ppl want. Ill make the icons 2mrw if you guys want em. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ffkbkwgxqvm681a/FEELUI.rar Enjoy!

this is more than just a home screen transition.
nothing out there (that i have seen at least) gives you vertical scrolling on the home screen as well as horizontal scrolling.
also, the lock screen is more than just a widgetlocker theme. the clock wont be on the bottom, and it wont scroll, the lock screen wallpaper wont scroll, you cant slide the lock icon up, and get the options, you dont get the nicer looking missed call/mail/sms pop ups.
this goes MUCH further than just some skin.
I just read an article about this from The Verge and i'm intrigued. The developers created Next interface and seem to be onto something. They feel the desktop is an unnecessary step to get to the app tray. Fair point, why have a bunch of apps then hit a button to get to your other apps? In the quest to be pc-like, Android has a desktop and widgets. Great, but I do see the point being made here. Oh, and notifications were redesigned.

Would love a port...but its not gonna be out for a while...considering Feel UX phones arent even out yet in Japan.

Very impressed with the slick lockscreen, but not so impressed with the basic UI otherwise. Although I couldn't understand what he was saying, adding lines in between rows of icons is not a feature.

So I am using Launcher Pro Plus and really like having a scrollable dock.....So my question is, how impossible is it to scroll my home screen by row or column instead of by page. Sort of like a rubix cube.........does that make sense or not LOL
That does sound like a nice idea. Basically you want each row to scroll as the dock does. Getting both vertical and horizontal scrolling would make it much tougher. I think to build one where just the rows scroll would be easiest. You could just build an app/widget that scrolls and place it on your homescreen. Bc of the 'page' style of android, im betting it would have to circumvent that by just working off of one home page.

That would be fun! Lol good idear.

If I'm not mistaken, the SweeterHome beta does this with springboards or something like that. I could be wrong but you can try their site and see (sorry I can't remember the url!). Hope I was able to help a bit lol.
I did this once (when on android 1.5) with either Openhome, ahome, Dxtop, or one of the other early launchers. I don't believe it was a feature.. more of an accident but ya, I feel like it is a great idea to have this built in to a launcher.
A widget like this: ScrollCut would kind of make it possible, but for some reason, only lets you scroll vertically (?).
Imagine having a a square number like 4 or 9 homescreens arranged in a square. Moving horizontaly and verticaly, you could move around the homescreens. So for example, you move right or left to any screen, and then you can move up and down as well to any other screen, and so on and so forth. The fun ensues lol

What's the possibilty of someone making a 3D app drawer that looks like a DNA strand? If the columns worked independently of each other in that scenario that would be amazing.

Okay, then you just throw on the Trebuchet launcher from CM9, or even the vanilla ICS launcher, and your problems are solved.
Dang, you wouldn't even have to have Root for that. Just like when I bought this phone: Touchwiz 4.0 didn't even make it out of the Best Buy parking lot before I had ADWEX running. (and Touchwiz 4 actually had a slim chance of survival, because it's the best version they've made so far, to be sure.....)
However, ADW won out merely because of the sheer speed factor.
(And yes, I know that Touchwiz is still there, lurking underneath, but it's really almost transparent compared to HTC's Sense or Motorola's Blur thing....)

EDIT: Oh, yeah, the pool for "official" release: February 21st.
I think you should make the launcher look more in favor of the new flavor. The people app is royally renovated and I am looking the look. Any idea if you can make the theme of the whole phone look like that?
1. Making the status bar transparent
2. Vertical scrolling of the apps menu. Scroll horizontally to go to widgets menu.
3. Changing the whole background to white (pearl white) with black roboto font, or at least an option to do so.
4.to make apps on the dock bar run continuously so that there a no lag when trying to open them.(everyone I try to open the people app, it takes sometime to load and it's irritating)
5 instead of grey background on every pop up menu, a blue white themed menu options would be great. I am new to xda, so if this is in a wrong forum, please feel free to post the same in the right forum.
I greatly appreciate the work your are doing. Good luck!

that's more like it! 6-9 months for me as well. gentleman's bet of course though.
My request was not exactly a theme. the status bar becoming transparent can be viewed as hiding the status bar. scrolling options is definitely launcher. and keeping the dock icons in homescreen running use definitely launcher again. and yeah dude you missed something. And as long as you don't do anything productive there's no need to lol. And this is me being polite.

Anyone came up with an app for this?
I am not a fan of launchers running on top of any ROM and I read a lot about issues with apps and playstore after using LCD Density.
I currently switched from iPhone to Galaxy S3 and while the phone is great, icons are just not adequate to the screen.
There is an app called Bigify for iOS, is there anything at least similar for Android devices?
The main 3 options I am looking for:
1. change icon size
2. change angle of the icons by xy degrees (it looks fantastic!)
3. remove icon text
Here is a SS:
This actually would be very nice as it bothers me when the apps name is cut off because it's too long.. So being able to remove the text would be great!

Apex Launcher allows you to remove the app text or modify the title/icon. You cannot rotate it though.
Op running a different launcher has no actual problems
Say your using nova as default the phone won't have stock tw launched running in the background unless you open again

It's what you asked for. They honestly helped you as much to their abilities.
That being said if you want angled apps look into making it yourself. I know that is not much of a answer you're looking but as of right now as far as I have seen there are no apps or mods to rotate apps.

Root your phone install a recovery and install paranoid android, google it, i think youll like it.
I got TFS Launcher and it runs great. I do have one question though.... Isn't there always a Launcher running over a rom? Otherwise you wouldn't be able to run any apps.

While waiting on hold for Google support a few weeks back, I decided to slap together a wallpaper for my Nexus 7 (and its coming replacement)... and I rather liked what I came up with, so I figured I'd share it (them) here. I cant do it. The box wont get big enough to cover the entire picture so I end up with a stretched image.
This has been the only thing so far on android that seems ridiculously complex. Why cant I just choose the picture I want?

You can use mulitipicture live wallpaper or wallpaper wizardrii to set the wallpaper without cropping it. If you use mulitipicture live, you open the app by long pressing the screen, choosing live wallpaper, and then choosing multi picture live wallpaper.
You can then set a still wallpaper for each home screen or for all home screens, have it scrolling or not scrolling, have it stay put or rotate with the homescreen, etc...
