I've tried resetting it, deleting the wear app, unpairing bluetooth...even tried it on my tablet and the thing just will not find the update. My friend did it the other day on his new phone and it grabbed the new update straight away.
I tried contacting Motorola support and they were useless... Does anyone have any other suggestions? I wouldn't be that bothered but I feel the wifi would make me use the watch far more, plus with the latest version it works with iPhones and I'm thinking of switching to an iPhone 6S Plus!
Thanks in advance for any help.

I would suggest using an older version of Android Wear. I used version 1.3.0.2139573. Once I did this I could update my Moto 360 from 4.4w2 to 5.1.1 without a problem. After that I had to update the Android Wear app on my phone to the latest build and it's all working flawlessly so far :good:

Hello, all!
I was just wondering if anyone else is still waiting on the 5.0.1 update for their Moto 360? I have been anxiously awaiting the update on mine and have yet to receive it. I have been checking like mad manually via the phone, but it just keeps telling me that it is up to date . There are some items in the new update that I am really wanting to take advantage of. I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. Thanks in advance.
Yup same here. I check every few hours via the 360 About screen and still nothing.
I'm still waiting. I have tried everything and have just given up.
Nada.
Same here, no luck
I've received the update on my OPO but my watch is exactly like it was before the update. Is there an additional step I'm leaving out?
There is a post with the update file but as I don't have the cable to connect I can't manually update it.
Is there any way to send this file to my phone to the android wear update cache so it can upload automatically to Moto 360?
I'm in the same boat. No update for anything. Tried the tricks but nothing. Anxiously waiting and keep checking. Frustrating

Still waiting too. It's annoying to have to reset your watch multiple times, uninstall apps, clear caches, and whatever else just to get it. That's not something I'm not willing to do anymore after the last update.

Well...I guess it is somewhat of a relief to know that I am not the only person waiting. I am just not understanding why it is taking so long to get the update pushed out to everyone. I certainly do not want to go the path of making a cable and modifying the watch to get it to work. I guess I will just have to wait, but it is frustrating . Thank you to all that have replied. Here's to hoping we all receive the update, soon!!!
I haven't received the update either. But seeing as so many others have not as well, I won't panic. I'm sure it will be available soon enough.
Seriously guys, don't waste valuable time resetting, clearing data etc. That does not work. It's just pure coincidence. This who claim it worked for them, in all likelihood it was just due for them.
Yeah I'm in the same boat. Sucks because I was usually one of the first to get updates on this
Still waiting here too... btw, is it just me or is that "system update" button in the 360's settings menu just there for show? I mean it doesn't even bother checking for updates when you press it, it just says instantly you're on the latest software. I even disabled all the data connections and checked for updates, it did exactly the same. Someone's having a laugh with that.
No update for me too
But today my android wear app update to 1.0.5 and still no 360 update.
I'm a little confusing because on the 360 says my android wear version is 1.0.1.15...and play services 6.5.90
Don't have it either. I hate staged roll outs ?
Yup.
Same here, no update yet.
Glad to see I'm not alone!
On my watch
Android version is 1.0.1.1526154
Google Play Service 6.1.74 (1511752-534)
On phone
Android version is 1.0.5.1630507
Google Play Service 6.5.99 (1642632-438)
I'm on Nexus 6 and still no update.

Just to let you all know, the latest version of Android Wear is going to start rolling out via an over-the-air (OTA) update to the Moto 360 today! OTA rollouts are always done over a period of many days, so it will take some time to receive your update. For more details about what is contained in this update, please see my previous blog post:

dude it says that it will be a staggered release in the coming days that means it's going to take some time until someone grabs dota link and puts it available
Time to try every (mostly not working) trick to get the update notification

OTA link or your post is useless thanks
I just got the update too iOS 9.1 turned my 360 into the Iwatch since whenever everybody asks about it " Is that the new apple watch?" No dumbA$$ apple is not the only one that makes smartwatches and phones.
No worries cause I bet my my bottom dollar some joker will no doubt start a new thread about the horrible battery on 5.1.1.
I'm sorry, how do I clean the wear app to try to start the process??
Installed the update, Wi-Fi works with no issues, flick gestures are nice, navigation still smooth, entering settings takes a while, battery seems fine.

Is the VPN part necessary? Thats the only thing I didn't do (because I don't know what it means) and I can't get mine to show the update.
So what's the trick to force an update. . . . Just let a wipe and then reload or what. Never had to force an update before.

-Reset watch
-While watch resets, unpair the watch through BT settings
-Uninstall AW app
-Reinstall AW app
Voila. There's different variations of this, which work for some, and don't for others. Worked for me twice on the 1st day of rollout both times, so the naysayers can keep to themselves.

Ya that didn't work for me. Maybe cuz I'm in the great white north of Canada.
Hi, I have a smartwatch 3 with a samsung galaxy note 3 but find that 50% of the time when giving google voice instructions the watch doesn't respond and then says connection lost. It makes one of the useful features of the watch pretty much worthless. Any ideas? Thanks

If that Galaxy Note 3 is running the Stock ROM, than I'd say that's your problem. Samsung don't like you to use non-Samsung devices. alongside theirs.. Also, which version of Android are you running? As far as I know, the GN3's support was dropped, with the last official update being KitKat. So that might also be a problem... I highly recommend upgrading your phone to the same version of Android as your SW3 (Which would be 5.1.1 if you're on the latest update), and not using a Samsung ROM. If there's CyanogenMod for your phone, get it and try the watch again.
Hello,
I´ve a problem with my lovely smartwatch 3 - google now cards are not shown, even after a reset of the watch. I´m not sure but can the "problem" be the latest google app update on smartphone? I´ve done a wipe for 2 times but nothing changes. Google App is running version 5.11.27.19, latest one afaik.
Greetings,
SirRobin78
The same thing has happened to me as well since around 4 days ago.
I've tried re-installing the firmware via PC Companion, but that didn't help, so I tried pairing with another phone and it still doesn't work. I'm not sure where the problem is.
Did you try to reinstall the android wear app on your phone and enable notifications? That is all I can think of.

Thanks for your suggestion, but I've already tried that as well and no joy. :crying:
The strange thing is that I get some Google cards, such as traffic time to home, etc. but I'm not getting the weather and stock info that I used to get all the time. (The cards do appear on my phone without issues.)
I´ve been having this "problem" ever since my phone updated to android 6.... I´m starting to think it might have something to do with that...

I've tested the watch on two phones, one is a Samsung Galaxy S4 (SC-04E variant) running 5.0.1 and the other is a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (SO-02G variant) running 5.0.2. so I don't think the problem is related to Android OS version.
Hopefully, the upcoming Android Wear firmware update will fix the issue.
N.B. Both phones are running stock firmware with no root.
My watch just showed me de card with stocks and weather.... But just as a regular notification card, no swiping left...
Good morning,
Has anyone else had issues with setting up Android Pay on their watch with the 2XL? I have an LG Watch Sport that worked great with my Nexus 6P, but when I try to set it up on with my Pixel 2 XL, it tells me it cannot be set up because it's rooted, has an unlocked bootloader, or a custom ROM. Both are stock, but both are on the Beta Program, but I didn't have that issue when the Nexus was on beta. I've tried resetting the watch with no luck. Any ideas?
Thanks!

it doesn't work in my country so i can't test
BUT root brake android pay from 2016 i believe
you have to use the hide function in magisk
hide alllllllll the apps that don't need root
then reboot then clear data from android pay/google service/ play store
then try again
After digging around online through the Android Beta Google+ page, it seems that it doesn't work on the Wear beta, but since it was already active with the 6P, it continued to be active. Pairing with the Pixel reset the watch and that's what stops it from working. I'm leaving the beta and will downgrade the OS when I get home to a charger.
