Hi, new to this forum, been reading through and lots of useful information.
I rooted my Defy using Superoneclick and unistalled a couple of motoblur account files by accident. My email and text message apps stop working, tryed to reinstall the apps which I had made backups of but titanium just hung at backing up, so I performed a factory reset. Now all I get on start up is a blank screen with the status bar at the top, browser seems to work by holding down the home button, but there is no access to the menu and any apps. Is my phone bricked? and if so any simple advice on restoring the phone back to the original state.
Any help would be much appreciated
P.S. my Defy is UK T-mobile.
The best option is to load up to stock recovery and do a factory reset and see how that goes
Hello Guys,
since 2 days my phone stucks in a bootloop. I entered a wifi password, then my phone starts to reboot immediately. the lockscreen appear for just 1 sec and then the phone starts to reboot again. Im Using Android 6.0, unroot, usb debugging disabled, closed bootloader and no custom recovery. I can enter the download mode and the factory reset menu. I can reset my phone, but i dont wanna lose my pictures on the internal storage. Is it possible to save my pictures? Or how can i restore them after a Factory reset?
i also tried to reinstall Android 6.0 with the LG Flash Tool 2014, and did the installation without the factory reset, but it doesnt helped.
i hope someone could help me.
Thanks

A factory reset might fix it. This is why you should have stuff like that backed up.
Sent from my LG-D852 using XDA Labs
Have you fixed it yet ?

I am suffering from the same issue since past 1 month and can't figure out a solution . Itried factory reset and flashing stock firmware. Pls help in any way.
Hey all. I was checking out my new htc desire 626.
I unlocked it, now when i want to go to recovery mode or even factory reset the screen with red text on bottom that says something like "this build is only for developer uses..." and dissapear. i cant even factory reset it in android menu settings.
What should i do?
I recently bought a new device and decided to give my HTC U11 EYES to my sister-in-law. So I did a factory reset through the recovery mode (rather than through the Android settings). Now the phone refuses to proceed through initial setup. I can get to the Welcome screen where I choose the language, then it asks me to connect to a WiFi network (which it does successfully, and I have to do so otherwise the "Next" button is grayed out), then it goes to a screen that says "Checking for updates, this may take a minute or two" and it just sits there forever. It never progresses beyond that. There's no "Skip" option anywhere, there's no EULA to agree to, and the WiFi icon shows all kinds of constant activity. But the setup never progresses beyond that update screen. I tried leaving it on overnight, it's been 10 hours. Still nothing. I tried doing another factory reset, same result.
I've owned two of these devices and never had an issue doing initial setup before, but I've never done a factory reset on either of them before. Normally a factory reset is supposed to SOLVE problems, not cause them. I have no idea what's wrong or how to fix it. I've been unable to find an original RUU that successfully flashes to the device.
try to wipe the cashe
Go again to download mode by pressing power and volume down together, then check for wipe Cashe drive
And you can try again factory rest later after restart
