New Tab 3 Tried rooting now just see "Samsung Tab 3" - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
First of all I am the poster guy for a rooting nubee and I wish I would have found this site before doing what I did!
That being said, I picked up a new Tab 3 a couple days ago and decided to try to root it.
I have now done so many things that I'm not sure where I'm at and where to go from here.
Right now all i get is the 'Samsung Tab 3" logo on for about 8 seconds then off for 2 seconds and repeat.
The unit will still go into download mode. I have Odin on my PC and had put a tar file in it and ran it.
I also put a SU file on the internal storage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I hope I am putting this in the right spot and it is OK?
I had followed some u tube tutorials, first without a pc and it said my device wasn't supported, then with pc and the load through odin went good but I had troubles putting the su file in the tab. some files were not able to save to Tab. I think 1 of them was a dll file. Hope this helps a bit as to what I have done.
I have no problem making a donation to get this resolved. Thanks

Hi there
Have a look at this thread to install the TWRP recovery from scratch
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2437219
Watch the video, it is very helpful. From there, you can install a ROM using TWRP.
I have been running Nolekat 2.2 for a while now, and it is great for this tablet

Thank You for the reply.
I just want to make sure I use the right files.
My device is GT-P5210 Tab 3 10.1
When in download in the top left corner this is what I see.
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-P5210
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
I don't see the links to the files on the link you added.
Thanks again. greatly appreciated!

Sorry, thought you had a T210. Would recommend you have a look around the Tab 3 10.1 forum

Ok. Thanks. My bad, should have probably mentioned that.

[Q] Issues with Unbricking

Hi all, I've been a lurker for the past few months and have finally run into an issue that I can't seem to fix without some help. I have a Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 that I tried using a one-click rootkit on (Kingo Android ROOT) and it has soft-bricked my tab. I have already done my homework and found the one or two extensive step-by-step guides, and have downloaded Odin to remedy the issue, but I am having difficulties tracking down the firmware. I downloaded the given firmware from sammobile (it took forever and also, there is no USA firmware listed? I downloaded the British instead), and when I try to extract the data from the compressed folder, it tells me that the file doesn't exist and that I probably typed the filename in wrong. I am all about working things out myself but this one has me stumped; and although I consider myself technologically savvy, I am nowhere near the level of most of you on these forums. Also, I would be fine with just doing a hard reset, but the only mode the tab will boot into is download mode, so I can't do a factory reset unless there is another way (can't access settings, and will only boot to the galaxy tab 3 logo screen or to download mode, neither of which do me any good). Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Keep searching. The USA odin file is what you need to bring it back. I had a Verizon s3, same problem, I had to tear down the internet looking for the file. Finally found it and got it to work.
What I did is just did a firmware recovery in samsung kies, click tools on the top then click Firmware upgradeand initialisation. It asks for your modle I havw the t110 so I type SM-T110 the click ok and it will ask for a serial number, put it in and start the en download. Youll need to put your tsblet into download mode for kies to install

How to ROOT GT-P220

Hello!
Could you help me with rooting this device, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (GT-P220).
I've searched through the site and cannot find any information. I tried using odin with others files, but after reboot, i'm getting original boot once again. (trying twrp)
I've solved my problem. I used TWRP reflashed it (after 5 attempt, HINT was don't tick auto reboot in odin or you will get the same old recovery) . However it's tooks me so more time to find correct version. I also tried root through PC or insde tale with programs like KingoRoot and so on, it's useless, will flash from twrp. However there are so less firmwares for galaxy S3.

Galaxy Tab s T700 5.0.2- Stuck In Bootloop After Tryig to Root with CF-Auto Root.

So I have a T700 running 5.0.2
Just got it and I've always used nexus devices so I wasn't stock clean android. Tried to root and something is going wrong. I have odin, downloaded and installed the Samsung drivers, downloaded the CF autoroot file. I rebooted into DL mode, plugged in the tablet and It registered in odin. When I hit start it looks like its working, the tablet goes to another screen with a red android guy, then restarts. But no root. I've used rootchecker.
I'm above average with computers and android, but I haven't rooted or flashed a rom in years. I'm sure I'm just missing something really small, anyone have any advice?
There weren't any updates that prevented root were there? I bought the tablet second hand.
Please and thanks.

Galaxy tab 3 gt-p5210 (white 10'1") wifi welcome screen only after using ODIN to root

Galaxy tab 3 gt-p5210 (white 10'1") wifi welcome screen only after using ODIN to root
Please help me. My knowledge is severely limited and i do not understand a lot of the terminology used here. I downloaded a file called ODIN and followed the instructions carefully to root my galaxy tab 3. Eventually it came up as "Passed" on the computer screen. "Yes"! i thought "I've rooted it". However after unplugging it from the computer my tablet is stuck on the welcome screen which simply states "GALAXY TAB III...
I have tried many remedies most of which i don't understand. The only thing that i can get the device to do is if i press power and volume -. This gives me an option to press volume + which takes me to the screen used in order to instal software onto the device. It says in the top right corner:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-P5210
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL
in the centre of the screen is an android with the words "DOWNLOADING...DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET" obviously there is nothing dowloading. I have tried redoing the ODIN procedure but still it remains stuck on the welcome screen,.
I have read about recovery mode but there is no recovery mode i can access on this device. The only functions are the 2 screens explained above. I have not messed about with anything i shouldn't have. I just followed the instructions which worked but have left my device stuck on the welcome screen. From what i've read it appears that this is called stuck in boot or boot loader. I would be very grateful if someone can take me through what i need to do to remedy the problem so that i can get my tablet working again, preferably rooted, however even putting it back to normal will do until i learn more about this stuff.
Please someone help me with this. I really need the tablet.. I would be extremely grateful and would learn in the process. Fingers crossed. Craig.

You definetly need to use Odin and flash a custom recovery like TWRP (preferebly). That's your first step so that you can restore your tablet, If you're having issues.

Could you elaborate on how one would do this? I think I'm having the exact same problem. Also, I can't seem to download any TWRP files, it gets blocked by my anti-virus.
Thanks
You flash twrp with odin as well. Boot the phone into download mode. Load twrp into the pda slot of odin and make sure repartition is not checked. Then hit start. Once finished you access recovery by holding vol+, home, and power until you see the tab3 splash, then release power but keep the other 2 buttons held in until it boots to twrp.
You may need to turn off your antivirus if it is blocking twrp downloads...

Tab SM-210 won't boot anymore, even after installing stock firmwares

Hi,
I recently got a SM-T210 from a friend to repair. The description given was that their kids factory reset the unit and won't boot anymore. First the tablet had the death sleep issue which is a easy fix. But after that the tablet simply continues to show the "Samsung GALAXY TAB3" boot screen and never finishes booting.
As I'm known with Odin I simply downloaded the original firmware from sammobile for this tablet and took the firmware version for the Netherlands as that's where I live. There are 2 4.4.2 versions available and downloaded them both. When using Odin 3.09 and higher I simply cannot install the firmware, but on Odin 3.07 it can. Although it installs the tablet still fails to boot properly and hangs at the tab logo as described earlier.
With Odin 3.09 or higher I'm not even able to install the firmware as it says that there is no PIT file and NAND flash write fails. I've found 2 PIT files for this tablet on the forums and even with the use of these PIT files it still errors with the same issue and installation seems impossible with these versions of Odin.
I've also tried installing TWRP recovery but that won't boot either. When booting the tablet with volume key up it shows the Andriod icon with the spinnng "intestines" and alot of red error messages show not able to find /system and /data. My guess is that this is pretty bad, but that is what I want to fix with the stock firmwares and/or the PIT files (LT02.pit and T210(R).pit).
I'm currently out of ideas to revive this tablet and almost start thinking that it's completely dead, but before throwing it in the garbage bin I'm wondering if anybody here is able to help me further with this issue.
If you think you miss critical information, let me know so I can supply it!
Any help is greatly appreciated and thanked for!

Thanks, I've tried it with Kies but it won't even recognize the tablet. When I put it in Download mode and connect it to my computer the Kies welcome screen keeps switching every 2 seconds to the connecting screen, back to the welcome screen and keeps on going like that.
Any ideas left?

Except for correct drivers etc etc not really, no.
I am facing same problem.
My Tab 3 (Sm-T210) has gone too.
Now I can't restore it.
I have downloaded Stock ROM from sammobile.org,
but I can't extract this properly.
It always says that "files are corrupted".
I am also going to be hopeless as like as you.
