Hi Guys,
I've received my Zenwatch today, all seems to be working fine except i've noticed that the screen doesn't seem to have been set correctly into the body at manufacture and is slightly lopsided down on the right side, meaning that to read text and look at the Cards, they seem to slope down slightly.
Has anyone else had this, is it normal, should I arrange for a replacement?
Thanks
Paul
I don't think it's normal, I would ask for a replacement.

Hello,
I got my XDA2 brand new of ebay back in April. I am now having some screen problems which are getting worse.
The top left of the screen, going all the way down the side (but getting thiner) is grey. The problem is spreading where more and more is becoming grey. The strange thing is when I have the screen displayed but not with the back light all the screen is there with no area grey??
O2 support have said they can fix it but require proof of purchase. With me getting it off ebay I don't know how to proceed.
Any tips on the fault and also how to handle the O2 support issue?
Thanks
The other day I noticed that I have a blue dot/circle on screen, maybe a cm in diameter. It's not a dead pixel or anything, it's just like there's a blue overlay on top of the screen. I stupidly carry it around without a case (I used to use my case but whenever the phone rang I used to accidentally decline calls whilst getting it out). Does anyone know what the problem is and whether it's fixable?
Thanks. Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
newton ring probably. Seems to become a frequent problem. Try the search on that.

My first phone did the same thing. Yup, it's a newton ring. If you are still under warranty (should have 1 year from purchase date), then just bring it back to Tmobile or whoever you bought it from. They swapped mine out with no problems. There is no fix that I know of without repairing the hardware. Good luck!
These guys are right, it does sound like the familiar "newton ring" issue, common to HTC hardware it seems.
There's a number of other threads across the site on that subject, you can check to see if the pics in any of them match the general look of what you're seeing...but I think the odds are very good you're just the next lucky winner in the newton-ring lottery.
FYI, although there seems to be no universal cause, heat and/or pressure are common suspects.
Thanks guys. Unfortunately I bought it handset only from the internet so I have no warranty. It's not too big or noticable so I guess I'll put up with it. It also gives me an excuse to buy myself the Touch Pro3 later on =p.

Most people say you can get them from pressure or too much heat, but I babied the hell out of my first one, and I still got one, so not sure if it really has to do with that or not. Sucks though, it bothered the hell out of me to see it every time. It wasn't horrible, just a faint blueish purple ring. That's the spirit. I want the tp3 as well.
Hi,
I've just had my HTC Desire for about a week and its been working fine, however i have just spotted a concerning water dot-like spot inside my touchscreen but its not affecting anything i do when i use it. I have not dropped it at all or done anything malicious so i'm assuming it was already there from the start. I don't have a screen protector yet but will be receiving it in the next couple days.
here it is > http: //i41.tinypic.com/2h2nsbb.jpg (remove space)
it might be hard to see but its there.
Does anyone know how i might clear that up or should i just leave it since its not really effecting the touchscreen. i'm not sure if i should get a replacement
Any suggestions welcomed.
cheers
I would insist on having it repaired or replaced from where ever you got it from. I'm guessing there is no obvious damage to the top of the screen?
Yeah, that would do my head in! A screen protector may well render it invisible though.
I would contact the provider and insist on a replacement. I would just say there is a mark on the inside of the screen, I wouldn't mention water if I were you, just to be on the safe side, it's one of those things where the conversation could get irksome.
Cheers for the replies..
I will see what 3 can do as i bought it on a PAYG. You can bearly see it until you look closely near light, thats why i only just noticed it yesterday.
No damage at all to the top screen let alone the phone. It still looks brand new. AMOLED screen is faultless and everything works fine.
I reckon it'll be annoying to get this replaced as they have limited stock but i'll see what 3 would suggest me to do when i go there tomorrow..
Hello,
I've got a problem with the screen of my Qtek 9090 as it doesn't seem to be displaying colours properly and there are lines going across the screen and text at times.
Would someone have any idea of what the problem might be and if it's fixable?
Here are a couple of images of what I'm getting. Quality isn't great but I hope it shows the problem well enough.
that looks like a hardware defect, you can use the htc service manual linked in my signature to disassemble the device and look for problems with the display's connectors, cables and possible pressure on the display/digitizer or anything related to the display. a good way to test that would be to take away any housing and start the device, that way you can carefully bend the cable in normal angles and see, when it happens.
Hi everyone;
I recently got a refirb F180S and after about a week of use, I've noticed that there is a strip on the screen that doesn't register any input. This is about a 1cm section about 3/4 from the top of the screen, across the whole width of the screen.
My guess this is a hardware issue. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I figure I'll have to buy a new Screen and Digitizer and replace it.
I don't know how much of a problem it will be considering I have an F180S phone. I know that this one has an antenna that extends from the top left corner which would be used for watching TV or something in Korea, Is this going to be a big problem? Would I be able to buy a whole front panel replacement instead of just a screen+digitizer?
Something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121316200684?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I can't seem to find any instructions on how to remove the Screen+Digitizer, so I'm not sure how difficult that would be in comparison to buying a replacement screen+Digitizer+Faceplate.
help
I am also suffering this problem. can someone help me please.?
