I have unlocked the bootloader with windroid, then I flashed TWRP recovery, then I flashed supersu zip file through TWRP to root my phone. Now I want to Unroot and relock the bootloader, but when I press 'Full Unroot' option in supersu it automatically reroots after a reboot. How can I unroot and relock the bootloader in my phone?

Alright so I got a HTC Wildfire S (a510e) and I want to unlock the bootloader and root it.
Some more info:
Marvel pvt
S-off
hboot 1.09.0099
sw 2.26.206
Android 2.3.5
(stock & locked)
So just to clarify, I should look for OTA updates & apply any.
Then I should unlock bootloader via HTCdev.
Then I should follow: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275
I would also like to know if that tutorial is still applicable, I ask because it is fairly old.
Could some one also explain what S-off and S-on is?
And which I should have after rooting?

S-ON or security flag on is a way HTC prevents unauthorised flashing(custom recovery, roms etc), Since you have S-OFF you don't need to worry about that, You will have to unlock the bootloader via HTCDev since this implementation blocks "fastboot",which is used to flash a custom recovery
Here's what you have to do
Unlock the bootloader via HTCdev.com
Get a custom recovery, I'd recommend the TWRP recovery found on teamw.in(the recovery will be in the form of an .img file)
Boot to the bootloader, select Fastboot using the vol keys and press the power button
Now type "fastboot flash recovery 'name of the recovery image.img'
Now you can flash roms or root it
Hey.
Today I was trying to follow this tutorial with my DHD to unlock the bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2367322
When I reached the end of the steps, the phone did not start anymore.
is only on the home screen.
Already tried all ways to start, but failed.
when I connect to the pc, it makes the characteristic sound.
but when I try the "adb devices" says my device is not connected.
can someone help me?
thank you

I can already access the HBOT ...
vol-button is a bit flawed, with some way it works.
But cwm recovery does not work.

this mean..you're already finish process but just missed the two steps..so you just needed do it that steps to completed..
firstly download this stock rom file that already rooted and modified too by Phiber2000 "PD98IMG.zip" in here.. or mirror here..
after that...copied file PD98IMG.zip to the root of your sdcard..then flashing it through your bootloader..and wait until finish..and confirm with power button to reboot..
after that..then you can installing custom recovery download a TWRP recovery from here.. and copied that file to adb.exe or fastboot.exe folder place on your pc...then connect your phone to pc with FASTBOOT mode..then open cmd source to your adb or fastboot.exe folder..and type "fastboot devices" if success detect your phone..then continued typing "fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-ace.img" ...done..
now your hboot is already update..and already had recovery too..
just a note..don't forget to Nand backup your rom first before you installing any custom rom you want later..
hope this can help..

yes you don't need to unlock bootloader again...because your bootloader is already ENG S-OFF (Engineering bootloader)..then your bootloader is already open or automatic you can accessed more than just unlocked bootloader
that's why i suggest you to flashing a stock RUU that are already rooted and modified by Phiber2000 that the link is in my previous post above..
if you did it before..than your bootloader will replaced to the version :

Case solved!
Hello,
Thank you in advance for helping.
I can not install a custom ROM.
I started with a stock DHD unroot without bootloader and S-ON.
--> The bootloader has been unlocked via HTCDev
--> I installed via 'WinDroid HTC Universal Toolkit', TWRP recovery and SuperSU for root.
Despite the installation via the Recovery, the HTC logo stays on the white background and nothing happens, I've left the phone for 15 minutes as well.

Hi,
I have the HTC One M8 Dual Sim Card international version and I bricked it.
It was rooted and had TWRP recovery and when the OTA update came out, whenever it restarts to install it, it goes into the recovery. So I decided to unroot it to install the update. While unrooting it and in the recovery, I accidentally formatted /system and /data. Essentially removing the OS and any necessary files to do a factory reset. And now it boots directly to the bootloader. Tried installing custom ROMs (Cyanogen, MaximusHD and ViperOneM8), all of which install successfully but still boots to the bootloader.
How can it be fixed?
Here are the details:

I tried flashing the zip files and totally did forgot that these are nandroid backups. Lol, might be the pills I'm taking.

I test but cant find any thing.
Can I flash any custom recovery?
I test all twrp img in official site but it didn't work?
Try again. Follow the exact same steps in the official HTC website unlocking bootloader.
You need an unlocked bootloader for your recovery to work. I also recommend using older version of TWRP/CWM if the new ones don't work.
