I got CM 12.1 and I do not like the # icon that appears in the notification bar when a process is running with root privileges. Is there a way to hide it? There doesn't seem to be an option. I've read that flashing SU fixes it but in the CM Nightly thread, they claimed it resulted in bootloop. If someone knows, don't hesitate to say!
Download SuperSU TWRP installable ZIP and installing it from recovery should fix # icon showing in status bar.

Ok so Cyanogenmod 7.2 is finally out of RC stage so I decided to give it a try. I wiped everything 2x and flashed the zip follow by the gapps zip for Cyanogenmod 7.***. Flashed fine, setup google account fine then i noticed issues. The main show stopper for me is I cannot download from the market, I get the (**** could not be downloaded due to an error) message. Tried deleting market cache, reflashing gapps, and fixing permissions. Still no market, (never updated to play store). I also get an error in my status bar saying google talk authentication failed.
I cannot find a working fix for this.
Also the theme manager does not seem to work correctly. If I switch themes between the 3 built in ones only the battery bar get colored, every once in a while after unlocking the others will change (i.e wifi and signal bars) but they go back to white on their own after some time.
Anyone else having similar problems?

sounds like data has not connected yet? you might have the 3g symbol, but is it lit up like the other icons in the status bar?
I have the exact same issue.
I have data connected, and have tried using both wifi and 3G, and get the same error regardless.
I had to revert back to my recovery ROM for now but will try again later.
I installed the latest nightly (cm-7-20120708-NIGHTLY-passion.zip) on my N1.
Is there a way to remove "No SIM" icon from notification bar in chagalllte? Maybe a build.prop edit?
Somone said there was a update from samsung yesterday that fixed this. Try updating your tab s in the software update option.
Well, I'm rooted, so no update for me unless I hit SamMobile then break out Odin, and I'm too lazy to do that now. In fact, I just looked at SamMobile and the latest firmware is from July.
But thanks for the tip; I'll do it when I have some time.
Wait a minute... I said the wrong thing! I thought it said the SD card nonification! Stupid me! Well since your rooted install xposed and download wanam xposed and open wanam xposed. Then go to nonfications in waman xposed and tick the hide carrier label icon. It may work it may not as it maybe a carrier label.
How about this? Its in build prop editor
my downloads are not showing on the notification bar, but they do finish correctly, whenever I download an app from the play store or something from the web, the download progress is missing. what could it be? I'm running official 5.0.1

I figured it out. What you need to do is just to go to settings > apps > all. find "download manager" and enable notifications. Hope this helps to others who have the same issue.
Solution to this
What can I see that you have disabled the download manager. You can enable it by going to Settings>Apps>Download Manager.
Or you can reset preferences in the app settings
Got it
Also can try Settings>Sound & Notification>Manage App Notifications>Chrome>and turn them on
I have the same problem on Samsung tab S2 9.7 after upgrading to android 7. I tried the solutions posted here but I still don't have the download icon on the status bar. Is there another fix?
I've an Xperia M5 with root access and i want an app which can tweak the status bar without xposed, i tried to install xposed but it says it cant be installed (something related to android sdk 22, android lollipop) i dont want to install it manually i cant risk bricking my phone, so any suggestions?
After updating from 8.0 to 8.1, I decided to remove all my 'Hidden Navigation Bar-type tweaks' as the 8.1 had fullscreen gestures. I used GravityBox and buildprop editor to do this, following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/how-to/guide-rid-navbar-drawbacks-xposed-t3712135
So I tried to undo these steps by going into buildprop and turning the line from 1 to 0. After I went into GravityBox and turned off the navigation bar Master tweak. I also thought I would try flashing the Google Camera HAL enabler via Magisk and rebooted.
Now I am facing a bootloop of the OnePlus animation with, after 5 or so minutes, redirects me to TWRP and it happens again when I reboot from TWRP. I have tried running the Xposed Uninstaller and Magisk Uninstaller but I gave me worse results i.e. No animation but blue LED.
So at present, I re-flashed the Magisk installer only.
What can I do from here? I don't have a Nandroid of my phone and any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
