Does anyone know what the Developer Option "Automatic Wi-Fi toggle" actually does?
I've searched everywhere but can't find a decent answer..
Cheers!

Searched the forums and couldn't find what I was looking for so I pose this question to you all: Is there a way to use my deactivated Epic as just a dedicated gps device? I have no data connection (being deactivated obviously) and while wifi will still help the agps I wouldnt have a nice wifi signal following me everywhere.
I also think i remember seeing, once upon a time, there was a way to disable it as an agps device and just use gps only. I could be wrong. Thanks in advance.
tl;dr: how do i turn my old phone into a gps unit?
solved by disabling "use wireless networks" in location settings. thanks kenny
To disable the data part of the GPS Settings>Location and security> Uncheck Use Wireless networks and check use GPS satellites and see if it works.
that method should work.

Quick question. Does anyone know where to set up cell broadcasting in Jellybean? I can't seem to find the settings. I've looked under "Settings -> Wireless and Networks", which is supposed to be the most common place to hold the settings, but it's just not there....
I've looked thoroughly both in the phone settings (even in the Call settings where it usually is) and in the forums but it seems JellyTime doesn't have this feature as for now
I hate that it's always present. Thanks
Tweak box has a setting for that. You need xposed framework installed.
I can't find it in tweakbox
Nvm just found it. Face Palm. Thanks
Did you mean you want a way to turn off available open networks?
If so, you can go to Settings->Wi-Fi->options(three dots)->Advanced Wi-Fi then untick Wi-Fi notification.
You don't need root for this.
If you wish to disable the wifi bars which represent connectivity while wifi is on, then you'll need root for that.

Thanks @insinc, so simple indeed.
Only way to turn WiFi on/off is through settings. Can't find app nor widget that works. Any answer for this RN8P?
Ok, checked further and found Android 10 blocks wifi on/off switches "Restriction on enabling and disabling Wi-Fi" https://developer.android.com/about/versions/10/privacy/changes:crying:
Hi there,
My wife is using this phone and complaining it keeps seeking wifi and refuse to connect 4G in open environment even if the mobile data is always on (in both quick setting and in developer options).
What could be the problem? Is there any pitfall in the setting?
Any input is welcome. Thank you.
Try reset network settings or kindly ask it in Xiaomi community. They will guide you better
Thanks. I just found it.
It's the "Wi-Fi assistant". When it's ticked, the phone would strive to find available WiFi. As there're many free and unsafe Wifi anywhere, so it keeps asking permission to link.
Just untick it then it's OK to switch to 4G.
