Hello all,
First i want to tell you that my z1C had a very bad month.
i own it for almost 2 years, and it never had water problems, until 2 weeks , i took picture in the pool, then the lcd phone got water in it. 2 weeks in rice bag and the phone work but the lcd still has little "clouds" signs.
i don't know if it worth to be repaired, i afraid about rust.
But it's not my big problem (yep) , i power on the Bluetooth then the phone get crazy with blinking message error "unfortunately the process com.android.bluetooth has stopped".
i really don't want to reset the phone....
i already empty the cach and dalvik cach.
any idea ?
thanks for helping.

has anyone experienced this? whenever i charge my xda iis, it becomes too hot, and i mean hot to handle... i almost dropped my phone when i held it... it takes at least 10 mins for my phone to cool down, considering that i have an airconditioned room... after this, my phone hangs and only a hard reset can fix it (man, i thought it was broken)... i just got my phone fixed -- no more gprs/mms problem and hard reset problem when i remove the battery... those asking how they fixed it, they had to change the board (unfortunately from where i live, you cant have the unit replaced after two weeks of purchase)... i also had pocket hackmaster installed... havent installed this before... now my problem is i dunno if pocket hackmaster can cause this problem... right now, the only way i can charge my phone is through my cradle... no time to bring it to the service center right now coz im out of town... tnx!
i know the problem with my mda III
I got the same problem.
i went to the t-com shop an they chenged my batterie.
the next problem was my backupbattery, it was damaged too.
now i got a new mda III. i wondered why all my settings after
battery drop or battery down were gone...
if your keyboard is getting hot too, you got the same problem.
my choice:
change it.

If it's needing a soft reset after it restarts, that sounds like the battery is loosing it's connection to the phone.
Check the contacts and the battery. Also make sure the contacts are sticking out and making good contact.
Worst case, the battery connector is breaking loose from the mainboard.
Best case, the battery is just not making very good contact to the phone.
and sure to check the condition of your battery.
some substandard/used/aged batteries fluctuates, from 100% to 70% or maybe even lower, that's what i've experienced when i bought my first "Xth" hand BA.. ahaha... i dont know how many times it passed hands.
Cool thanks,
well after having this problem for couple of months I finally took the battery out juggaled it around cleaned the contacts with my finger and not for 3 days already i experience no restarts
Yo There..

If u tries to take off your battery when your device if on.. then u put it again n press the "power" button.. you will see that the radio is "0"/"Zero"..
which means even your device can boot into the today screen it will not receive any Phone Signal.. then after u do a soft reset the radio will appear again..
which means the "signal loss" or problem is caused by the phone's power lost beacuse of the battery malfunctioning..!!
u done a good joob throwing out your battery.. I've battery problem too, but it's more annoying beacuse it cuse my device reset too.. this is realt bad!!
Try tightening up the screws
Try tightening up the screws behind the battery. I had same problem and now its fixed.
Right after my phone fell on the floor, I found out that the camera was not working. The first time I tried pressing the camera button,I finally had to force close the application as it didn't respond. In a few hours the battery was emptied though I had just charged it.That night the whole phone almost crashed,it was awfully slow and extremely hot.
I took it to a repair shop (no customer services or guaranty from Sony in my country),and it cost me not very much money to repair everything except the camera. They told me that there was a serious hardware problem and the camera had to be changed.
Problem is, I can't find the Arc camera in any of the cities in my country, and I have to leave my phone cameraless while the first reason I bought it was the 8mega pixel camera.
The volume down button doesn't work either.
Has anybody experienced any problem similiar to this with Xperia Arc?Does the camera really crash so easily with one fall?!

I've dropped mine a few times to the point my phone is quite badly scuffed on all corners but the camera has never failed. Sounds like an insurance job to me.
unfortunately for your phone
Did you try to reinstall the rom after a hard reset. You can either reboot once the phone withouit the sd card and the sim. Then, reboot with only the sim. Finaly reboot with the sim and the sd-card.
For me, a fresh install after a herd reset can solve the problem.
lol I actually dropped my Arc on the floor the other night but luckily it fell of the bed so the drop wasn't too bad, it fell on It's screen and got some scratches, I've been paranoid ever since but I haven't find any problems. You can try installing 3rd party camera apps if any of them might workout for you.
aye insurance i agree. sometimes manufacturers can't guarantee repairs or replacements due to lack oe spare parts for repairs, or the cost of the repair is too high that you are better off buying a new phone.

just proven that my play is not waterproof. lol. well now its not booting, im always stuck on the screen where kernel pops up. anyone else who got stucked there?
My first play. Unfortunately, It eventually died.
you should not turn on any device after getting wet, wait til it dries
Take the back and battery off then soak everything in a bowl of white rice for a few hours ( I usually just do overnight) and it'll dry it as much as possible. Not saying it'll save it, just saying there will no longer be ANY water inside the phone
thanks for the ideas. but what bugs me most is why does it stop on the KErnel Thing Screen? why doesnt it get through it. you think its rom problem or just the hardware?

Sorry for my english.
So last Thursday I dropped my OneX phone into my kitchen sink full of water & soap. It got fully submerged into it for at least 5 sec.
It still worked completely fine the moment i fished it out, but of course i immediately turned it off
Like 30 minutes later, out of of nowhere my phone came back online without me doing anything. I turned it off but it kept rebooting after showing the HTC splash screen. Water must have done something crazy I don't know...
I put in in a bowl with rice hoping it would dry out. In the meantime it kept rebooting for like 1 hour continuously I kept hearing the vibration
After sometime I noticed it was back on the 'unlock simcard screen' so it finally wasn't rebooting anymore. I unlocked the simcard and have been using my phone perfectly normal.
I've noticed some small darker blotches on the right downside of the screen, but those have slowly dissipated too. And today they are completely gone.
I just wanted to share this little story with you, I'm very happy that my One X survived this 'battle' against water haha.
Haha!! Nice to hear it!
Congo man! Srsly! :good:

My wife had an One X but first she dropped it in the toilet. Had to wait a few days to let it dry, but it was OK. Then she dropped it again in a puddle full of water. And what was wierd was it worked. Then these blotches appeared
Then about a day later the screen just would be bright at all!.
I tried taking it apart but to my surprise the battery was so soft and would bend super easy. The insides smelled very bad.
It never worked again but I was surprised it lasted as long as it did!

I do hope for you it will keep working, but to be honest I doubt it. Water does strange things to electronic components.
It may even work fine for days/weeks or months after being in touch with water, but it suddenly can stop working or have other strange reactions due to corrosion or the chemical compounds reacting that were in the water at the time.
I have experienced this behaviour a lot in water damaged electronics, as I'm helping people with insurance claims in my profession. It's difficult to prove problems are connected to water damage, weeks or months after the accident occurred.
Repair centers normally don't give any guarantee on repairs due to water damage, in my experience. That's due to the fact damage may occur even after weeks or months, and it can never be foretold a repair was 100 percent successful.
So, it certainly still could have problems later in time, although of course I hope you were very lucky this time!
Rice is indeed one of the best things to try in these circumstances, it probably saved your phones life this time!
A couple of months ago I spilt lots of pure alcohol on my HOX.
At first these grey spots on the right bottom side appeared and then after turning it off for about 10 hours they vanished but a big wide line appeared in the left side of the screen starting from the bottom until the middle of the screen.
Other than that the phone worked absolutely fine no problem what so ever.
I send the phone to be repaired (screen replacement) last week and got it back two days later with a new screen and a notice that there was no cost charged as the replacement was done under warranty.......

yes because they thought it was a screen failure...htc wrote in the letter that the screen was abnormal so they replaced it with a complete new...but my screen was broken and repaired with just glued glass ...really nice from them to change the whole screen
