I have E988 32GB internal storage version.
It came with Android 4.1.
I have been attempting to update to KitKat or Lollipop custom rom.
So far, I cannot find a rom which will recognise the 32GB internal storage.
Typically, I can only see 10GB of this.
The remaining 22GB is either missing or storage allocated under Misc (System Data) and unusable,
in the roms I have tried.
Please recommend a rom, pref Lollipop, which you can confirm will properly allocate the 32GB internal storage.
Tks
Peter
Good luck
I can help you. All you need to do, is to flash a KDZ rom with this name: E980H10A_01
I can't paste links, so just type it in searcher and go to StorageCOW
After that you can flash any Lollipop rom.
Tks Solo_322
I will download from link to StorageCow. I presume this is a stock 4.1 version.
Did you have this same problem with 32GB not recognised ?
After I install this KDZ file how can I be sure that the next update to a Lollipop rom will work ?
Tks

Why such an old version of ARHD (34)? The current version is 43.
Try the current one.
Was your phone on Lollipop before you unlocked the bootloader?
What has USB storage got to do with internal storage? :what:
That part of usb storage is for usb on the go. Not for the sd card inside the phone !

Don't know if it will fix your problem or not. But if you are having an issue with a particular ROM, the logical thing to try would be another ROM.
But if you update to a Lollipop ROM and your firmware (hboot, radio, etc.) is outdated (KitKat) you will run into serious issues (extreme long boot time, broken WiFi) so that is why I ask if you were on LP before modding the phone.
What does it say for OS number on the bootloader screen?
Also what hboot number and radio baseband?
Another thing you might try is to go into TWRP and format internal storage.
You might also revert to the nandroid of your stock ROM you made before flashing ROMs, if you made one (which should always be done whenever flashing ROMs); and see if the storage issue persists.

Good luck getting usb storage working without an otg usb cable. :banghead:
Hello, today I've received my Zenfone 2 wich came with 32GB ROM and 4 GB RAM. I got it from a Chinese website, and suprisenly it comes with Google Apps installed. Even if you make a factory reset. Even the build number says WW. But in the website they say it is a CN version. I think they have flashed it or something!
Anyway, when I installed few apps, and tried to uninstall some of them, my phone kept rebooting. This problem occures when I try to disable an app as well.
Anyone? Please help
If you going to root and install roms, then just install one of the custom stock roms or the aosp roms. If not and don't need the lte bands on the WW firmware then best to flash back to CN firmware
Same problem
Hello i have the same problem 2gb ram version, buy from tinydeal they say ww rom and it show ww rom. Do you find any solution yet ?

Hello Kamen, I bought mine from TinyDeal as well. Honestly, never going to buy a product from them anymore! But luckly I have found a way to fix it. Download the official Zenfone 2 frimware from the website and put it on a SD Card, then flash it using a custom recovery, I used CWM Recovery to flash it (choose from external SD Card).
Now I'm running on the latest update. And everything is working fine!
It is not a WW Model, it is CN. But I changed mine to WW Firmware. By flashing both recovery and firmware to WW.

I have the same problem.with Redmi2 prime (China model). if I flash global ROM and China modem, I can't uninstall any apps
Hello people. If my trouble is not in correct forum, sorry.
Let's go.
I bought a LG G3 D855 (Brazilian) from Vivo/Telefonica operator. The gadget comes with Lollipop 5.0 and some apps from Vivo. I rooted the phone and removed the apps.
After this, updated to a stock ROM (20b) with no operator's stuff. But my phone still with some things from Vivo, like wallpapers and the version of the ROM didn't change. Still V20A-724-06 (I think the "06" is from Vivo). Reading Google I found that the stock G3 firmware is like 20x-724.
My question: is there anyway to full format my phone, like a formatted PC with no partitions, and create all from beginning? I tried to install TWRP, with full wipes, without success.
Anyone have a solution?
Thanks!
Hi
If i remember correctly there is a folder in the root that has all the stuff related to the operators.
You need to erase that folder.
If you search the forum you will findthe instructions.
Brgds
Do you know if in this folder I can solve the problem with version? Because I found a folder and deleted it, and the apps were killed. But the phone still with operator's wallpaper and the version of Android don't change when I update using LG phone tools...
I'll try to find. Thanks!
You need to flash the kdz after that you must perform a factory reset, if that doesn't work downgrade to 4.4 install twrp flash any 4.4 rom (not stock based) and then re flash something like cloudy and check if that works
I'll try that. Thanks.

I downloaded stock 4.4, a CloudyG3 2.5 and a Cyanogem 12. I'll downgrade to stock 4.4, them install CM12 and after, CloudyG3. Is that it you suggested? I want do stay with stock Lollipop, and I'll upgrade to LP5 after Cloudy.
Is that correct?
Thanks again.
Yes what the downgrade via kdz does is that it will delete return to a normal state then CM will write over system partition and to finish the reload of a stock bases rom to return to how you want it just make sue to flash correctly
Not works.
The apps from operator are gone. But still some wallpaper and the build number.

first, read that:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/how-to-change-region-t2904951
now that you know what you are doing, find your operator line in cust/cust_path_mapping.cfg and edit the ending to "=/cust/SUPERSET"
maybe you need a data wipe after to really get rid of things..
Ok Guys, I dont know whether this is the correct place to ask this question.
I lost some important pictures (the DCIM folder suddenly got deleted). I wanted to recover and I installed this software that is asking for root permission to scan deeper for images.
That being said, I want to root my phone and I tired all apps including kingroot, iroot and oneClick root without any success. What can I do?
Model: LG G3 D855 - 32GB
OS: Marshmallow 6.0
Kernal: 3.4.0
Software Version: V30b SEA-XX
Security Patch Level: 2016-08-01
You must flash older kdz file. Firmwares with 08+ can't be rooted
Try to flash a custom recovery like TWRP. then from twrp flash supersu. That's all you need. The tough part is install twrp

will it wipe my internal memory?
Yes it will if you flash it with LGUP. Not 100% sure but I think there is a option in LGUP to not wipe storage

hey thanks for all the replies. If it wipes internal memory, my purpose is defeated. Are you sure that there is no other way?

In LGUP:
To not wipe data - select UPGRADE
To wipe data - select REFURBISH
Just in case - make a backup

If he is to downgrade to lollipop using the upgrade method, it will likely cause many errors on startup due to non-backwards compatibility of many system settings files (or something)

Hi. Have you used Odin to flash stock firmware? The CSC file should have the partition scheme but flash all the slots using Odin. If it bootloops get into recovery and do a factory reset. I didn't check for sure but it should be possible to flash the patched image from Magisk with Odin as well. Others that actually have the same device might add more solid advice but getting back to stock should be your main priority at this point.

I did some light searching in XDA and it looks like root is possible for your device

You have 2 option here:
1. Just format data after root with recovery patched
2. Install custom kernel with magisk built-in ( recommend: drketan rom - only flash kernel if you want use stock rom ). Another choice is cruel kernel. This method give you chance to use custom recovery.
That's it.

Seriously thats all?? If u wanna give up u can, but i will not!!
The point is, format data don't cause to lose your rooting. Then yes, just format data
The second method is to root without take your bussiness on combo key to boot ur phone into root mode after each restart.
No give anything up here buddy.
Have you give it up, buddy?
