Why such an old version of ARHD (34)? The current version is 43.
Try the current one.
Was your phone on Lollipop before you unlocked the bootloader?

What has USB storage got to do with internal storage? :what:

That part of usb storage is for usb on the go. Not for the sd card inside the phone !

Don't know if it will fix your problem or not. But if you are having an issue with a particular ROM, the logical thing to try would be another ROM.
But if you update to a Lollipop ROM and your firmware (hboot, radio, etc.) is outdated (KitKat) you will run into serious issues (extreme long boot time, broken WiFi) so that is why I ask if you were on LP before modding the phone.
What does it say for OS number on the bootloader screen?
Also what hboot number and radio baseband?
Another thing you might try is to go into TWRP and format internal storage.
You might also revert to the nandroid of your stock ROM you made before flashing ROMs, if you made one (which should always be done whenever flashing ROMs); and see if the storage issue persists.

[Q] No SD card mounted?

I recently installed the Android 4.4.2 KitKat custom ROm "Carbon" on my HTC One X Endevarou, and after some trouble that I got fixed with the help of this forum, I got it all working. Now I have another problem though... I can't access my SD card when the phone is booted. I can access it in recovery mode and as a USB Storage in recovery mode, but when I go to for example gallery, it says "No external storage found"

have you checked if there is any fix/workaround in the rom thread, or even if anyone reports tehe issue? it's not an hardware problem for sure, as you can access it via recovery...
Try another aosp kernel. That seems to fix it.

I searched around the XDA forums and on the official Carbon ROM website, but didn't find anything.

And if you had to explain that to a noob? I Googled it, but it only returned gibberish for me.
Well like there are custom sense kernels, there are also custom aosp kernels. Check the original android dev section. You see some kernel headlines that are also for aosp. Try one it might help.

Ohh, nice. I have no idea what kernel to flash though, do I just pick any? And what version exactly? I am at a loss.
read the respective thread, search if there is an aosp version of the kernel, read if there are issues and flash one (repack if required)... test if for some days and if you are not satisfied take another one and start over

sure you can take a nandroid backup before starting, it is always the best choice and the fastest way to revert back in case of issues

I tried two different AOSP versions of the Next EP kernel, but to no avail. Do you have any specific suggestions that you know will work, or does it just have to be guess-work?

Thanks a lot, the threads are conflicting a bit in info though. After flashing the kernel, do I have to extract the boot.img and flash that in fastboot? Some threads tell me to do this, some threads don't.
EDIT: I tried it and now it seems to work. Thanks a lot for the help guys, you are awesome!

yeah, just like you did with the rom one...
boot.img = kernel
kernel_name.zip = kernel modules
you can avoid flashing the boot.img only if your hox is s-off and the developer put the instruction to flash the boot.img in the updater script inside the zip file... so flash it via fastboot

No Custom ROMS will install - Won't open ZIP

Hello all,
Apologies if this has been asked before but can't find a concrete answer or a way to fix this.
My phone is rooted, unlocked and S-Off . When I go into recovery and to install my new rom they all fail saying can't open Zip file. I have used both TWRP and CWM but both give me the same message.
I tried the new VIPER Rom, the new InsertCoin Rom for my HTC One M8 and all give me the same.... I've downloaded twice, put them from computer straight to my phones sd card and then tried internal storage but nothing seems to work?
Can anyone help out?

Whenever I flash a marshmallow Rom on my HTC one M9, it reboots into the bootloader.

I'm currently running android revolution 5.1.1. I even tried to flash the rom from my sd card but to no avail. I really need some help.

none of them are your firmware, go to download mode and read the one that says OS:this is your firmware
you must have MM firmware to install MM roms, so if it doesn't start with a 3.xx.xxx.xx it's not MM, unless you are on Verizon they have a LP firmware that starts with a 3.

Hi
I reverted to Lollipop from MM on my G3. If you are rooted and have TWRP installed you need to use TWRP to reset the phone, system, cache etc and SD card (internal) and then use Flash Tool 2014 and
Whichever .kdz you want depending on your region. I used d85520h.

Root it first on marshmallow, install custom recovery and then just flash whatever ROM you'd like. Or use the Flash tool method as recommended

Your all caps and profanity truly shows your ability to extensively articulate your issue.
Perhaps you'd get more information and answers if you detailed what diagnostic steps you have taken, and then post in the G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.

Try this from the link....hope it helps
Root the phone, format then flash stock ROM you downloaded onto the external SD. But, why would you want to. I think 6.0 is the Windows 7 of Android. If you have that you will be in the loop with incremental updates rather than being stuck with what the ROM has.

Is it go back to stock ROM? (only ROM, not recovery)

I wanna keep bootloader unlocked and TWRP recovery. would it be possible to go from the CM12.1 rom to the stock rom? I dont need stock recovery as Ill be reflashing CM12.1 after I have tried out HTC sense 7 and MM
No, i dont think so. Dont you Have a backup in twrp? If no i'm not sure if there is a solution. Maybe take a look on ruu.lalleman.net.

If you Have a backup of your original firmware (Stock ROM) you can restore it and then update your System to 6.0 in your settings, info, device updates(maybe somewhere else in settings)

No idea what cuases that? Maybe do a quick Google search for that issue. You can try Flash twrp again using flashify (play Store)or htc_fastboot

I honestly don't know what causes that. Maybe it's easier to restock everything and unlock your bootloader to flash TWRP.

I have TWRP installed.
You can flash a sense rom from TWRP. There are many stock based roms that have few optimizations.
Try Viper, ICE, Leedroid, Sky Dragon, Bad Boyz (might not have international support).
There are also a few stock rooted roms around. It's very easy to flash from recovery. Just make sure you are on the most current Firmware for your device.
If you are looking to go stock with no extras, THIS might be what you are looking for (also elaborates on the write protection issue you are having)
Ooops. I didn't realize your device was the M8s. I think it's kind of silly it's in the same forum, but oh well. Sorry for the confusion.

You're in wrong device thread man ... all your suggested ROMs are meant for M8 only.
They won't work for his/this device.

ahhhhh. I see. Didn't realize this was the M8s they were talking about. I thought it was the M8 general. Thank you for pointing that out. I was wondering why it was so hard for them to find a stock ROM....
Found a fix guys. Will post here if someone has the same issue:
1. boot TWRP, try flashing recovery, get the error
2. go to mount in twrp and turn on mount system as read only, then try flash again
3. go back into mount, turn off mount system as read only, then tap system
4. start the restore, this fixed it for me
