How to disable bottom Google quick wheel entirely - T-Mobile LG G3

I have a 3rd party auto hide nav bar, that seems to be having trigger issues because of the bottom Google search quick access wheel that's also triggered by swiping your finger up from the bottom of the screen. Does anyone know how to disable that function entirely?

Stock tmo lollipop

You might try g3 tweaksbox, there's a beta for lp. It might be able to do it. You'll need to flash xposed framework though.

Try LMT Launcher.
It's free and has gesture controls and optionally a pie menu where you can assign different funtions to each segment.

re: hiding soft keys in web browser

re: hiding soft keys in web browser
I just pre-ordered my g3 from verizon and was wondering if its possible to hide the soft keys when viewing web pages?
cheers.
The AT&T version has the option. Can't imagine the Verizon version being any different.
In the browser or any other app you want to.
Goto settings>display>home touch buttons> hide buttons
Then select the apps you want them hidden in. You can acres then again by sliding up from the bottom bezel.

Is there a selection to hide the buttons for chrome?
Did not see it in your screen shot.
On my sprint g3, I have the option to hide the buttons on any app I have installed.

Nav/status bar not transparent

When I open apps such as chrome, gmail and or any non system app the status bar is black. Why isn't it clear? I'm rooted running xposed, tweak box and nova launcher. The status bar is clear on the home screen and lock screen, and it matches the color of the LG apps but its black on every other app
Here are done screen shots:

I think there only transparent on home and system settings menu.

Bugger, that was my main reason for returning the Xperia Z2 - with the navigation and notification bars, it was the same size as my S3 on expanded desktop.
Just glad the G3 has such a big screen and the nav bars can be hidden. Future ROMs should address this.
I didn't really notice it until the other day, but now that I did it's annoying.

I tried that but it wasn't working, how do you have it set up?

I don't see the problem. If the solid bar was blocking content then yeah annoying but its not so a transparent nav bar would either show nothing at all or the back, home and recent buttons would block content. Now that would be truly annoying in my mind.

Is there a quick way to get to home without using the home button?

A gesture or another Shortcut? I tried setting it up using Nova but I couldn't find a way to add the shortcut

I added the side panel which does the job. Wish it had a transparency setting, though. I'll have to look for play store options

I guess I'll be the one the ask, what's wrong with the home button?
Because you can wear out the button? I've had to replace iPhone home buttons for this reason

I recommend people check out Swipe pad which gives you very easily accessible sets of shortcuts.

I like it. I've switched to that. My only gripe is that I would want to cut down the number of portals that shows up. Sounds like I need to get the add-on for that
