Hi everyone,
I really hope you can help me.... A few days ago my power button didn't work anymore, so i found other ways to unlock and lock my phone. No problem. But now my battery was empty and it fell of.... Can't turn it on again! It is fully charged and still works fine, except the power button. What can i do to turn it on? I have no root. If you can help me out you're a hero!
Hi.If you have enabled USB debugging , you can reboot it via ADB.Connect it to pc,open terminal and type "adb reboot" . If you dont have ADB - install it.

Is this phone Rooted? well try this pull the battery out put it back in, and press and hold volume down button and press power and see if you are able to get into boot loader...
tricky !
two options
1- check bootloader (volume down + power) , if it gets a white screen with options , you can repair the device.
2- if it does not go into bootloader , then first download Htc sync for desire z , setup the android SDK , then plug ur phone inn, in command prompt , type *adb devices* .
If it shows a serial number below List Of Devices , then get back to this forum and report
And the last thing is the power Hardware button fine ?? Although quite impossible , but the hardware power button might be faulty !!

Hi there,
I am using the Jellytime ROM with my desire HD. When turning my phone on the Jellytime splash screen appears and after that there is only a blank black screen and remains like that. Then I tried to boot the phone into recovery mode by holding down the volume down and power button but that did not work (my volume keys were working fine before) and nothing happened.
Then I looked around for solutions and I found the ADB method. With necessary drivers installed etc. I still was not able to boot into recovery mode since I cannot enable debugging mode and ADB showed the device as offline.
I have no idea what to do from now, anyone know of a solution?
Thank you.

Does your computer recognize the phone? If so what about in Fastboot USB mode?

Yeah the phone is recognized as a 'MyHTC' or something similar which I think is because of the HTC drivers I installed. I have the android phone drivers installed but the phone doesn't seem to be recognized as one.
I have tried to use fastboot via CMD but the device was offline. I cannot access the menu since I think my volume down key is not working.
Deconnect the battery, wait 1 minute, connect it again, then hold volume down (till bootscreen come) while pressing power for 1 second
Had the same problem, so i solved it
If you have the attached image on your recovery-screen (after pressing "recovery") you have no recovery-image installed
Thanks for the help everyone. I realised it was the battery case that wasnt functioning correctly. Just ripped off a piece of foil and put it between the connectors which fixed the volume button problem (i think) so i was able to boot into recovery .
Thanks.
Hey everyone,
I've got my phone startet now, but I still do need a kind of "backdoor", so I can restart the phone, if the button stops working again or if I loose this small plastic-piece again.
Furthermore it would be really cool if I would not have to dismantle the phone to turn it on
First of all I thought about ADB, but ADB doesn't recognize my device anymore.
I don't know why. My USB-Debugging is (and was) activated, but the PC isn't authorized yet (since it doesn't recognize the ADB it won't ask me for permission).
How can I fix this? I already tried to restart (pc and device), reinstall the drivers and kill/start the sever. Nothing worked.
But I'm also open for new ways.
I thought of some possibilities:
1. Change the "action_on_power_plug_connect": Is there a way to change the action my phone does execute when the power plug is connecting? Right now it's just starting to charge mode.
2. Boot on shedule/remote: Is there any app, which got the power to boot the phone, even if it is completely shut down?
I'm thankful for every single advice you can give me here.
Sincerly,
maj0r_tom

Hello everyone,
I've just repaired the broken display of my old Oppo Find 7.
Everything worked fine but one thing: The power button does not respond anymore.
It's a small piece of plastic, held in place by a bridge of metal.
When I press it onto the "sensor", it doesn't seem to recognize it.
Everything else is working perfectly - connecting a power source makes the phone start into loading mode.
Is there any way to start the phone without the physical button?
Maybe something beyond fastboot?
Or do you think that any phone-repair shop could help me there?
Sincerly,
maj0r_tom
Edit: The Volume Buttons do not work, too.
I've tried ADB. I could swear, that USB debugging is enabled (used Titanium Backup, it's asking for it on startup).
But ADB does tell me, that the phone is unauthorized.
Edit 2: Volume buttons repaired.
Edit 3: I got it.
The buttons didn't break - they just lost a small piece - a very ****ing small piece.
I did see it dropping from my Vol+ button and could insert it into the power button.
The phone startet, Debugging was enabled. Do I have to check anything else to activate ADB?
Hello, i don't know if my problem is the same but i have the power button don't work too. For restart my phone, i press VOL- when I charged the phone. He boot in recovery and next i reboot system. If a hardware solution is possible, tell me.

Hi, I think that an alarm application in ColorOS was able to start the phone if you had alarm setup.
But I'm sure this only applies to the ColorOS native alarm application, so no third party apps....

I have had same problem. I am not expert at all but can suggest you to check out your phone mother board. Problem might be there. Nothing will work if your phone motherboard is out of function. Thanks
Hi!
So I'm new here! Hello everybody
Anyway, I need some help with recovering some files from a friends phone. Here's the catch though:
He has his OEM locked and USB debugging and developer tools disabled... Which means I really can't do anything. Here's the status of the phone:
Phone is on, since it makes the lock sound every time i press the power button.
Screen is black and I'm pretty sure that touch doesn't work either.
I can boot into the bootloader and execute fastboot commands.
Stock recovery is installed.
Not sure that I can do anythings else...
Cheers
I'm in the same sh*ty situation... I hate Oneplus for their last Update that turned OFF the OTG function ! My plan was to blindly activate the USB debuging in the settings using an OTG device...
Did you find anything ?
