Hi everyone,
I buya LG optimus G on the craiglist. Then I try to unlock boot loader to install custom rom. But after I usedTeegee to unlock, the phone gets stuck at LG logo. I try to access download mode to reload stock rom for it, but I could not find the kdz file for it. I found on some forum that I need a correct Serial number to download kdz. However, because the phone does not boot, so I can not know the serial number to download. Try to use LGNPST to load Nexus 4 firmware to hope it boot up to get serial number, but this program always so error because it missing LGNPS_LE970.dll file. I am so frustrated. Could anyone please show me the way to make the phone work again. Thank you very much.
Please help me!!! Please! Please

What do you mean by serial number? The only "serial number" I know is the IMEI...
If it's the IMEI you need, it is at the bottom of your battery cover or the box when you purchase your phone.

Standard teenybin bricks the phone into showing only the LG logo - no bootloader, fastboot, ADB, fastboot, nothing.
Alternate teenybin is causing roms to crash constantly and have no keyboard for me. Also no ADB, fastboot.

The teeny bin alt isn't used to get back into your ROM its to get you into your recovery to flash a ROM back on to make it back to stable conditions when you soft brick and you see the lg screen it because your efs has gone to hell so what the teeny bin does is fixes it also you can go deeper into the post and you'll find the stock e970 bin file just flash that and you'll he completely stock then use freegee to unlock it and boon your able to use custom ROMs I had the same problem I soft bricked so I went through this process and was like what the hell my rom is being stupid as hell then I read more into and it turn out teenybins are only used to get into your recovery/bootloader

I have the lg g4 h815 international model. It is rooted and has the boot loader unlocked, I manually upgraded to android 6.0 and then a few weeks or months after I was just on a normal day. So I turned my phone off, then when I needed to turn it back on it failed to start up only showing the lg logo with the boot loader unlocked sign in the top left. I tried all that I knew how to. I went into TWRP recovery and wiped all the data from it. I tried to boot up but it would not and it said that I have no OS installed, however I was sure I did. So }I tried the kdz method of restoring my phone but the lg flash tool 2014 seemed to not respond instantly.
Next I tried downloading the stock files and stock ROM and tried to flash them, but when I attempted to flash them using TWRP it froze and went back to the LG logo screen with the boot loader sign in the top left and it wont let me do anything. I can still go into download mode and recovery though. I have tried every method I know of and I am really stuck. If someone knows how to fix it then please reply, thank you.
If anyone knows how to fix it then please reply, thank you.

I tried this but when I attempt this, TWRP freezes and it takes me back to the LG logo with the boot loader unlocked sign. Because it keeps freezing I cannot restore a backup or download a custom ROM and I am stuck on what to do.
EDIT: Also when trying to use the kdz method the lg flash tool 2014 just fails and force closes.

I think its possible by remote unlocking.

Mr3p thanks for the quick response and this agrees with mostly everything I found on line. What's causing my confusion is I have a toggle in Settings/systems/developers options: enable OEM unlock. I can use adb to boot into fastboot without any trouble but the only patched image (patched_boot_10b.img) i have is for LM-710EM ver V10b. I want to make sure it is compatible with 710ulm. my full version number V10b-LAO-COM, Build# OPR1.170623.032. I would appreciate any input you have on this.
thanks

cheeze.keyk is correct that the G7ULM can be remote unlocked by loading a V35 engineering bootloader in place of your current bootloader. If you are comfortable having someone remotely access your phone via PC then it can be done, see link he referenced. My comments were regarding unlocking via normal LG unlocking process.
I'd have to look up that version number but doesn't match up with G7ULM. Can you do a screen shot where you are seeing it in your phone?

It seems this was a unlocked or flashed US sprint phone if a previous life. not sure if it has a stock rom I can flash it with, LGUP seems fairly straight forward but I'm not sure what to flash it with. My IMEI says this model is an LGG710PM. again any suggestions from you would be appreciated.

Unless I missed something, that's the first you've mentioned that your phone is Sprint model. It may be out there somewhere or you may have better luck searching however I looked for Sprint .kdz a couple of weeks ago but couldn't find one. You haven't mentioned your wireless provider so it's hard to make a recommendation but if you can't locate Sprint model firmware, I would flash the phone with the latest G710ULM firmware as that's the carrier unlocked version and should have the greatest compatibility. I vaguely recall reading someone taking a phone like yours back to a Sprint store where they were able to flash the phone back to Sprint firmware so you might consider trying that also.

@mr3p you're correct I just learned it was sprint model when I went to lg's site to download the firmware to revert it back as you suggested with lgup. It states that sprint, and all the major USA carrier's, can't be flashed. I Will give the 710ULM firm ware a try. I'll let you know how that goes. BTW thank you again for your help, Zb

@MrP3 thank you for your input, after soft bricking the phone I found the correct DLL for LGUP and was able to upgrade to ver lg710ulm2g. this version still comes with the bootloader unlock option in the developer menu> i'll continue to research/play with it to see if root is possible.

I am confused. If your phone is Sprint IMEI do you mean that it was a Sprint G7 loaded with ULM software? If your phone is Sprint model are you saying that ULM firmware is the only requirement to achieve root?

I had the J version 9G710ULM10j_00_NAO_US_OP_0219.kdz) but that is what bricked me, the only update that took was [GFI]G710ULM10g_00_NAO_US_OP_0913. I am making the assumption that the same 'LGUP Common DLL' should work regardless kdz file I use. I just can't seem to find a newer firmware file that doesn't stop after 11%.

Did the failed firmware load occur with the windows app or command line as suggested?
