Rom with good battery life - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

hey guys, can you suggest me a good rom (lollipop one) with good battery life ?
I flashed cm12.1 , I got good SOTs ( 3h30) but the problem was that the phone never goes to deep sleep.... I tried detecting the wakelocks and blocking them but that never really did an impact...
Over the night it consumes more than 50% of the juice...
So now I am back with official 4.4.2 but I don't really like it ( I mean who does )
Any help will be appreciated guys

After running most of these L ROMs, I can honestly say the best way to get more life is a bigger battery!

[Q] Xperia S Jelly Bean overheat and battery drain

Well, hello everyone I'm having this problema with my xperia s since I got the Jelly Bean update the battery drain really fast firt I thought it was firmware thing since in some parts of the world there was alreay the .211, so yesterday I decided to put a ROM (this one) and results that my xperia starts to overheat and battery drain even faster that in .200 firmaware, I just want to know (or if there is any solution) who else is experimenting this problems. I had a hard case my GF told me to take it out, cause a friend of her had the same excat problema also I read on internet that its normal when OS update to have problems with the battery drain that the solution was to charge the phone to 100% and the let it discharge to 0% and then repeat the cycle 2 or 3 times more, but im not compleatly sure about that, what can you tell me? Thnx in advance and sorry for my bad english.
cheers

it takes 2-3 complete battery drain to complete charge for a rom and kernel to become stable with your rom if that rom still causes ur phone to heat and battery drain...try this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263625 and if u have unlocked ur bootloader go for this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2309770
Heat and Battery drain
First of all I don't think that the Hard Case has to do anything with this..
secondly in the Initial stage, the ROM gets to settle down and uses lot more energy causing the phone to heat and draining battery..
P.S. you may find more relevant answer in the ROM thread that you've installed. try searching it there... :good:
I am also facing the similar issue. I have installed some custom ROMs, however my battery showing mysteries.. draining is very very fast!!!
5% per min.

The rom Port beanstalk for our device is amazing for battery ..I use uber 4.4 kernel and set it on noop and ondemandx and i get a battery drain at about 1% an hour at idle . I suggest better battery stats to find any wakelocks that might prevent deep sleep . also install cpu spy and make sure that your phone is deep sleeping .. I have the best battery life using the rom port beanstalk not the official.. Also hellkat is excellent for battery life .. I tried them all and rom port by souns of math is the best .. My battery results are the best when i have data off when the screen shuts off..Making sure your device deep sleeps is the biggest key factor.. Most roms i have tried still drain at 3% and hour or more while deep sleeping.. A good indicator of battery life as far as i know is how it drains at idle..Sometimes i have even only .8% an hour drain . Also the beanstalk rom by sounds of math is a great rom it is my daily driver. If you have any other ? let me know ...Hit thanks if this helped .. As far as bluetooth streaming I can test it out when i get home
There's not that many ROMs my friend. Try them all and decide which one works best for you. That's the XDA way.
Remember to give them a few days to get a fair feel for each ROM.

Aosp battery worse than stock? D851

Im not a heavy user on my phone must graphically intense thing i do is probably my live wallpaper with all my home screens filled with full screen widgets other than that its just social media. But i must say the battery life is just terrible on a aosp rom or cm12 (D851 here tmo ). On stock lg i could leave my phone on 100% over night and wake up and it'll be on either 99 or 100 but on cm12 its a whole different story when i tried that i woke up with my battery on 76 %. and just using the phone will only get me max 4h screen on time currently i run cloudy pro 1.2 and i get around around 2 days of usage while cm12 i get only 10h max. Im very confused everyone seems to hate lg stock cause of the battery but why dont i achieve getting like 6h screen on as some users report or at least a day and a half's use.
Basically what im trying to say is what am i doing wrong i tried bliss-pop and candy5 latest versions with amplify to stop draining wakelocks
what rom combo do you use with your kernel and kernel settings to get a day or possibly more because thats the only reason i dont want to go to lollipop
( sorry for poor english ) also nothing seems to be draing battery even if so i tried multiple lollipop roms soo..

Samsung galaxy S4 mini battery drain!

Hi everybody...I have this phone and I have a problem. When I charge the phone up to 100% battery and then take it from the charger, battery drops to 99 or less without phone usage...And when I go to sleep and then wake up,the phone lost about 10-15 percent...Can somebody plesase help me?
Check what's keeping your phone awake during idle, "wakelock detector" and "better battery stats". Though you need root for these. You've nor given us any details of what your phone is and what ROM?? Try searching for threads on how to calibrate your phone battery.
Ohh sorry...My phone is S4 mini GT-I9195 LTE....I have stock android 4.4.2 kitkat...I have already calibrated battery and bought new battery...But same problem...
Will be an app causing your phone to wake
I dont know...i searched on the web and someone said that stock kernel have some problems

Not always the case... Depends when and where your phone was made. Could be a faulty kernel or motherboard but it also could be an app or a setting on your phone or an unclean install. Have you always suffered this issue?
I got phone about 3 weeks ago...and the battery was very bad so i bought new one.I also tried CM 12.1 but the phone is heating in unnormal way but the battery there is better...
You have problems with motherboard. Go to service center to replace it on waranty.
Powered by CM12.1
But my phone isnt on waranty...i got it used haha....ahh nvm,i will live with that problem.thanks for help!
Bad luck then. Normal consumption for our device is 0.2 - 0.3 % per hour in stand by.
Powered by CM12.1
How long does yours battery last with some normal usage?
Almost 3 days with moderate usage.
Powered by CM12.1
Woww thats a very big difference haha.

Your best bet seeing as unless you pay for a new motherboard is to try one of the battery drain fix kernels on here. Though I think you may be limited to certain compatible ROMs.
Why are you not staying on cm 12.1? For me it's amazing, i observed at least 100% more battery efficiency than stock (4.2.2). I also observed the same problem with high temp too. But i think we can't have it all. When i play games and the outside temperature is about 35 celsius, i do not expect anything less, because this mobile is not designed for this android version. I think that's reasonable and i finally can use my mobile with a joyful way without having my mind always on the battery stats!
Sent from my GT-I9195 using XDA Free mobile app
Thanks guys! And i will try CM 12.1 for longer time to see if anything will be better!

Any previous Galaxy S3 owners?

what are the big differences between the two?
I am especially concerned about the battery life, which doesn't seem to be too good on the Zenfone 2
I didn't have a Galaxy 3, but I did come from an Lg Optimus G Pro which has a big honking battery. I am getting decent battery life from my ZF2, darn close to what I got from my OGP. I use Chrome to do my paperwork for my job, use the phone as my ereader throughout the day, keep it linked to my car's bluetooth for most of the day, and make various calls from time to time. Oh, and Facebook. Lots of Facebook. Don't judge me.
GS3 user , i ran the old man with RR lollipop .... Used to work fab but battery was not good in s3 except for standby (sot was not good)
ZF2 is way better if u are not goinng to root and xposed cause as i started to do that i got an average battery life (4:15 sot ) but better than the old man.
Don't root and xpose like me if u want amazing battery.
