Note 4 volume issue - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Verizon Note 4 changes its volume up and down whenever media is played. It's not the case or the button because the volume bar does not show when doing so. Any ideas??
Thank You

Volume control

A while back I had a volume control option to lower my music volume while notifications were coming through rather than my music being completely interrupted. I don't remember if it was a system setting, ROM setting or an app. Does anyone know how to get this back?
What rom are u currently running?

Luquidcontrol 1.3 now....
Hmmm. I'm not familiar with that series of roms. I know that with aokp there is an option under the volume setting to link or in link the volumes

Skipping tracks while screen is sleeping.?

Anyone know how to get the phone to skip tracks via the volume rocker long press method? I tried a couple different apps and just cant seem to find one that works. Poweramp being one of them. Thanks.

I use a blue tooth stereo headset and the long press works with Google Music Player.

[Q] How to use the volume button to go from volume --> vibrate --> silent no vibrate?

[Q] How to use the volume button to go from volume --> vibrate --> silent no vibrate?
I had this on my Galaxy S2 and S1...I can't remember how I did it though.
I would like the phone to go from Volume --> vibrate --> slient with just the volume keys, as it is now I have to use the quick toggles to choose between vibrate and silent.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Does it.... You sure that it just doesn't lower the volume and go to vibrate...not mute then vibrate?

It certainly doesnt go volume vibrate silent on stock.. I miss this from my note but like above stated just press the volume button on the notification bar or turn vibrate off and it will go silent when u put volume down

Hrm well I am on clean rom but that's just stock debloated and perseus kernel. It's possible that functionality came from either of this but I don't think it did although of course I could be wrong. If I hit volume down it'll go from sound> vibrate> mute.

Stock drops the volume down and then to vibrate... no mute. As you drop the volume down, 1 step before vibrate still makes a tone, so thats not mute.
I came from a HOX, and that did the Volume down>mute>vibrate.
S.
For some reason I'm on stock rom and mine goes from volume->vibrate->silence.

That's what I've been doing...but not answering my question.
I use power toggle for that, it's on play i find it the fastest way to go. Vol - silent - vibrate

[Q] Volume up button

Just wanted to confirm that holding the volume up button is supposed to keep increasing the volume right?
When I hold the volume up button on mine it only increase the volume by one step, the same as if I just press it once. However my volume down button decreases the volume continuously.
Just want to do a quick check before I return it.
Thanks.

Mine keeps going up until full volume.

Yes it should go to max volume if you hold it down. Are you 100% stock?

Confirmed, when you hold the vol up or vol down it should go all the way up or down.
Thanks guys and yes it was complete stock. No root no unlock. I returned it since they don't have anymore stock for exchange.

Nexus 7... Noise when holding power button down...?

Hello, can someone confirm this...? Make sure volumes are all the way up, and simply hold down power button till you get the menu to pop... Do you receive the sound you get when you receive notifications? It's weird because I never ever noticed it before and I'm new to nexus... I just want to know if it's glitching or if it's supposed to do that.

The pop with your volume up, defending on your notification audio, may just be your Nexus 7 trying to play audio thats slightly frequencies than your speaker is intended to play. It also could be a few other things with the speakers (Volumes too loud with that notification, maybe?), it isn't just the power button and you shouldn't have to worry.
No... It's because I enabled the accessibility shortcut. Thanks anyway haha
