Jhowlett, okay, i'll try to figure out. And the last question: have you test it while screen is off? When the screen is on, the volume keys works as usual

Is this mod working fine?
I have been searching for this thing for weeks..!
and is it possible to get this working on DDJV9?
Hameedhudeen, at least for me it works flawlessly on JW1 and JW6.
Probably it can be adapted to DDJV9 too, but need a content of /system/framework/ directory.
Can u please tell how to do this manually, or I can send u the android.policy.jar and u patch it, cuz its already patch with some mod

Sorry for this very noobish question. My concern is, i cannot go to factory reset screen... No matter what i do, how many times i restarted and remove the battery, i cannot pull up the screen. Volume down + power button only makes my phone boot in safe mode... Im preparing to root my phone so im trying every possible way to save my phone if just in case something went wrong, I just want to make sure that it'll work before i begin rooting my device, but its not working... am i missing something?
resethard.com/lg/g3/
My device is LG-D855 EU/Asian 3/32gb version. Not yer rooted.
I just activated the developers option but didn't do anything or touch anything with it.
Uhm, just tried this kitkat thing when you tap 4.4 couple of times..
Used LG suit and ran back up for my device.
sorry i manage to solve my noob concern, didn't heard the "release and re-hold power button" after logo appears. should have watched the video again before posting here. wasted time composing non sense thread. xD

You have to press power and volume down, until you see the LG screen then let go and press volume and power down again.

i have an lg g3 f400l korean model
while trying to go into recovery i pressed both the volume up and down then the power
i got into a screen to my problem in korean
what i did notice that there were 3 options
can anyone tell me to which screen i entered and what are the options?
i did go into recovery by pressing the volume down and power, does anyone know EXACTLY at what point the keys must be released and at what point EXACTLY they must be pressed.
it seems like a trial and error until you get into the recovery, it took quite a while can anyone be more specific
thanks
please no jokes or snotty remarks or guys telling me they have a d85CADILLAC and they get into recovery just by staring at the phone or doing a spok memory touch
Hello, I recently unlocked my device via Bump, but unfurtunately, I cant get to my recovery via hardware keys (but I can via adb and app). Can somebody help me please?
Edit: I tried sort of methods, volume down+ power then release then press again.
Try holding both the volume down and power at the same time without releasing the power button. That's how mine is.
Well i had a G2 and it was hold the power + volume down until you saw the LG Logo then release them for a second then re hold the power + volume down again. i have a Verizon lg g3 or the VS985 model and kept trying that over and over after i bumped my G3, and after trying for like 10 mins i figured out that it was different all i have to do on my vs985 is keep holding power + volume down until the white screen comes on where you select factory reset to gwt in to TWRP
Still no luck guys, what is wrong with my unit .
Everyone knows the general steps to boot the general LG G3 into recovery, but at the very least the F400K variant is different.
1: Power + Volume up until LG logo appears
2: Release both and immediately press and hold Volume up + Volume down
I purchased my phone used and already rooted with recovery installed so maybe something was changed with mine but I don't think so as I have seen a lot of people complaining about this
Edit: As stated by itsbighead below, you can use a program called flashify as well. Thanks itsbighead!
Anyway, hope it helps someone!

Why not just boot to recovery using flashify?
Its so much easier
Some people just like the old fashioned way
