I just upgraded my m9 dev edition from 5.0.1 to 5.1 and now i cannot seem to figure out how to turn the persistent notification for the powersaver off.
I used system tuner to turn the notification off when i was running 5.0.1, in that case the notification was generated by the power app itself. In 5.1 on the other hand the notification is being generated by System ui .
So anybody know how to turn the notification off?

I believe Sense Toolbox can do it, though it requires Xposed.
I don't run Power Saver any more, but I used to force stop Power under Settings > Apps, and the notification went away, but it was still on.

Yeah i was hoping for a more permanent solution.
edit: are you running your m9 on all 8 cores right now or did you find someway to bump battery a bit more
I running all 8. I've read that doing so is actually more battery-friendly, as its how the LITTLE-big design works. I.e., the lesser processors do the bulk of the work (using less power), and the others step in when needed for more intensive computing. See the battery-oriented threads here and on xda for more coherent explanations and information.

Just curious as to what everyone has found to make it easier to turn off the M8 instead of reaching all the way to the top for the power button, which can be awkward. I know there is a knock at the top of the screen, but that is almost as bad as reaching for the button. Any other options/suggestions?

What exactly do you mean? Are you talking about turning off the screen as BigAl assumed, or are you talking about powering down the device?
use the nav bar on custom roms to change their attributes .
I use double tap on home to turn the screen off, also double tapping the notification bar works (viper rom)

Yes, just screen off/lock. I have a custom rom and they just have the swipe or tap at the top of the screen which is the same as reaching for the power button if not more difficult (tried Viper). I'm on Revolution 5 right now and really like it...just want a better way to lock the device...double tapping home sounds good. Is there a downloadable app or flashable addon compatible with Revolution?

I know there are many in the play store...was just wondering what other M8 owners used before I try them all
i use an app called knock lock. you set where you would double tap to turn off the screen. pretty nice add on for the gesture controls. plus no root needed. i set mine at the center

I use flar2's kernel. Includes sweep 2 sleep the bottom of the device to shut off the screen. No need to run an extra app. He also has a module you can use on stock kernel (need root though).

If you by turning off mean sleep, then:
Swipe2sleep isn't really needed in ARHD rom, as the Sense6 Toolbox allows you to customize the behaviour of the control bottons in the nav bar.
I've just setup long-press the home botton to sleep. Works fine and easier than swipe (IMO)
I use widgetsoid, create an invisible toggle button to turn the screen off which fills the bottom half of my screen so one click off without ruining my homescreen.
I use a Dot View case and close lid...does that count...

Hi,
I'm having a few questions about my 7a. On Color OS 1.2 I could lock the screen by double tapping the home button. But since updating to Color OS 2.0, I can't do it anymore.
Is it possible to still do it ?
Then, when having a Gmail notification, is it possible to expand it like on classic Android ?
Thanks !

Maybe it has been desactivated in the options ?
Yes, I believe you need to enable the double tap gesture again.
On 1.2 it's under Settings->Gesture & motion->Screen-off gestures, I imagine it's very similar on 2.0.
Yes it is. Hadn't seen it.

It should be like it was in 1.2. Pinch your fingers together to collapse, spread your fingers apart to expand. I use an Xposed Framework module called "All Notifications Expanded" to make it so notification are always in an expanded state.

Hi all,
Since it didn't seem like anybody had written Xposed modules for some features I wanted, I wrote a couple myself. These are OxygenOS-specific. If you have any other OxygenOS-specific Xposed modules you'd like to see, let me know in this thread. I'm just getting started using Xposed, so I'm learning as I go.
No Quick Pulldown: http://repo.xposed.info/module/io.gavinhungry.xposed.oneplus.noquickpulldown
This disables the "quick pulldown" (which is when you swipe down on the right side of your statusbar, it skips the notifications and takes you straight to quick settings). This module also disables "smart pulldown" (which is when you get the quick pulldown behavior only when you have no notifications). As a side-effect, it also disables "two-finger quick pulldown." Since I don't use that, I don't care, but I could rework it if needed.
Reverse Alert Slider: http://repo.xposed.info/module/io.gavinhungry.xposed.oneplus.reversealertslider
This reverses the direction of the alert slider, so now the bottom position is "No interruptions," and the top position is "All notifications." It also disables the toast notification you see when moving the slider, and it removes the status from below the volume slider, both of which I found annoying (if you want to change the alert slider to control vibratation instead, check out VibrateMode).
No Quick Settings Edit Button: http://repo.xposed.info/module/io.gavinhungry.xposed.oneplus.noqseditbutton
This one is pretty minor, but since I only need to set the ordering of my Quick Settings tiles once, I don't want to see the little edit icon every day in my statusbar. This removes the icon. If you want to reorder your Quick Settings some more, you'll need to disable this module.
Thanks for putting in work?

Awesome work bro!
I added RawGit links to the APKs in the OP, for those having trouble finding them.
Thank you so much for the no quick pulldown! It was so frustrating.
some great work, thanks for this, was thinking of a vibrate mode instead of priority for xposed, if there is a solution can you let me know?

The biggest reason I disabled that was because I couldn't figure out how to get it stay in sync with the slider - also, I never used it and found it annoying.
Introducing that as an option relies on 2 things - me be able to figure out how to keep it in sync, and me being able to create a UI. I'm not much of an Android developer, I'm afraid. If I can do those, I may also just combine these into a single module, then keep adding options to it.
Great job.
Why don't you add all these options in one app like wanam xposed does to Samsung devices?

Anyone have a good working module for expandable volume notification?
So I am a LONG time Samsung user. I've had every generation of the Note's and recently moved to the Pixel XL after returning my Note 7.
The phone is great and silky smooth so far but my biggest gripe and I know this is something I could become accustomed too if I had too but I was hoping that maybe there was an easy way to swap the placement of the two buttons.
On Samsung's the back button is on the right and the recent apps button on the left. Almost all other Androids are swapped (The Pixel is no different obviously) but trying to re-wire 6 plus years of back button pressing is going to be a lot of work and I have my fingers crossed there is a way to to do this easily within settings somewhere that I have missed.
The buttons themselves are merely icons on the screen, so swapping their positions doesn't seem unreasonable, I know you can do it with a rooted phone but I obviously don't care to void my day old phone's warranty quite yet. I'd understand if they were illuminated buttons on the bezel like the Samsung phones, but these are icons.
Anyone figure this out?
Thanks in advance!
Have you tried the app All in One Gestures? I don't have my Pixel XL yet, but I use the All in One Gestures app to swap the back and recent buttons on my Galaxy S6.
First off, unlocking the bootloader and modifying does not void the warranty on Google phones. There are no software methods included to swap the navbar icons. Only way remaining is to unlock the bootloader and look for a way to mod it.

Wasn't there a mod that went around with the Nexus 6P that added more options to UI Tuner for NavBar? Could this be done?
I came from Samsung also. If you decide to unlock your bootloader and flash TWRP you can use this. Works great is what I used before I went to pure Nexus. And u can flash back to stock it will stick with it. Until u do factory reset. Comes with aroma installer so you can decide what you want.

Just change them in system ui tuner.
If you don't have it. Pull down statusbar. Press the settings icon and hold it for about 5 secs.
Now you should have it in settings.
Go to navbar
There you can just pull the symbols by holding the = and pull them up or down.

It won't work. That option is not enabled by default. You need to decompile system ui apk and add a line of code to tuner_prefs.xml for nav bar to show up in system ui tuner.

Did you push and hold the cog wheel when you pull down the notification screen? You have to do it for a long 5 seconds, then the option for system UI should appear when you go into settings.

I'd flash WETA Mod 3.1. https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-xl/themes/mod-weta-ui-mods-t3491181
Gives you a bunch of customization options including adding NavBar tuner back in the System UI. Easier I think than going in and messing with system files. At least IMO.
