Try to go to the control panel, battery, cog (upper right corner) and disable the notification about apps draining battery. Maybe that's it.

I tried yesterday already. Doesn't help. I think that app don't need so much battery, (just 1%, another app need more) but problem is that app is running on background all time.

That's because the widget is auto closed due to Miui optimization....try turn it of on that particular widget and lock app to memory in recent app by sliding down to lock....

Just open the security app > battery > app battery saver > then disable the optimization for your widget app!
Then you may have to open the widget app then click hkme, then view the recent apps, drag the widget app down, then at the top click the lock icon
That should be fine now!

Thanks,
Honestly, I'd suggest turning off the app battery saving entirely. I did that recently and I discovered that not only did all of my notifications and other background updating apps now work perfectly, the battery life on my phone got better if anything - it certainly didn't get worse, at any rate.

In your phone, go in settings and click on power option, in that select background app management and disable the app for which you want to receive notifications for.
Else go to notification center in settings and check whether you have blocked the app from receiving any notifications from that particular app..
Thanck you it work

Hmm, hadn't seen this setting before. I really should get a better understanding of Oreo's new settings. I searched and found a reddit link highlighting the use case:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/7lbpki/android_81_feature_developer_option_background/
The comment by "well...duh" shows what this affects in Android. From the app drawer, long press Android Pay, select Battery and observe the Background activity setting. Developer Options/Background Check flips that same switch on/off.

It's there for a good few apps like play store and services and some 3rd party services
I wonder the same thing.. on a latest pixel devices "background check" is empty and on GSI builds there are some options enabled..
Since I bought Redmi note 5 pro I am having this issue.
I installed the Nova Prime Launcher and gave it auto start permissions & all other permissions etc. I also installed Spotify, work shift calendar paid app, baby feeding time, WhatsApp and many other app, The following morning i noticed missing home icons/widgets, offline music had gone and widgets all disappeared.
I've done some digging around. Initially I turned off the scheduled cleaner in the security app, thinking this was the culprit but the following morning the above items were gone again. I found a post somewhere saying to turn off the Mi backup, which i did. This morning I got and seen stuff had disappeared again.
I have tried couple of launchers having same issues.
Has anyone any ideas? Please see attached a pic of my calendar widget, which I setup yesterday and it's disappeared today. I got auto switch off & on feature on.
Many thanks
@rajverma3135
Which MIUI version are You running ? Do those widgets disappear even on stock Mi Launcher ?
Sent from my whyred using XDA Labs
To be honest I haven't tried stock miui coz I can't alphabetically organise icon, its shame no option to do that.
I am on miui 9.6.3.0(0EIMIFD)
Thanks for your reply.
After I turned my WHYRED information the first time I really wanted to have a LTE discovery widget to see, which LTE band I'm currently using. Unfortunetly I couldn't. The widget would load and stay, but after a few seconds all data from it would disappear leaving empty frame with a "no info available" or something like that. Out of nowhere after a few months it started working
Mebay try one more thing. In recent apps menu (at least in MIUI 9) when you swipe down of a particular app it gets pernamently (until You swipe down again) stuck in RAM mening it can't be killed. Try that

You mean this when there is a lock symbol on the icon as its in screenshot? Thanks
Your screenshot doesn"t load for for me (in XDA lamps and in browser) so i can"t tell :/
Edit. It loaded
Yes. This is what I was talking (wrighting actually ) about
Hi @MikiGry
I tried but today morning it was disappeared again, so that's not solution. It's very annoying
Does it happen to all widgets or some specific ones ?
Sent from my whyred using XDA Labs
On all widgets.
Are You using per-aplication power saving feature ?
Sent from my whyred using XDA Labs
No by default I had power saving option eblnabled, but I have given no power saving to these apps which I want widgets. Thanks
I'm out of ideas :/
Maybe go to developer options and disable MIUI optimizations ?
Sent from my whyred using XDA Labs
I'm experiencing the same problem with widgets disappearing after reboot on MIUI 10 (Android 8.1.0), device Xiaomi MI8 .
Turning off "MIUI Optimizations" in developer settings also did not fix the problem.
I had the same problem - the gmail widget is still ok - other widgets not
the problem is the backup.
the backup removes the widgets (and sometimes some icons)
go to: settings => system&device =>additional settingsbackup&reset => auto backups => turn them off
and don't make manual backups there.
What settings do I need to disable guys?. Eg apps like Ebay & Amazon notifications are only coming through once i open the app.
Cheers

yep do this, I had it with quite a few apps then realised it was the phone optimising the battery by putting them to sleep, so they didn't wake up until you opened the app.

No worries...
Love the phone but the settings can get a bit hard to find if you don't know what or where to look for them...
