[Q][E975] Hard Bricked. Couldn't enter Download Mode, Recovery and fastboot. - LG Optimus G (International)

Like I said above. My phone could boot but it stucked in LG logo. I tried to enter recovery and download mode but neither worked, it just restart again.
This happened after I 4-wiped in TWRP and reboot.
My phone couldn't connect to computer too. My computer try to install LG MTP Driver but failed.
Addition info: Before, I installed recovery with FreeGee app, and flashed new TWRP 2.8 then flashed stock KK ROM. I think that why i can't enter recovery by hard key.
Any help?

Phone's not entering download mod or not showing it.. My phone once stopped showing download mod and just showed a black screen.. But KDZ updater still recognized it as download mode and i was able to flash it..
Switch off ur phone , keep the volume up and down pressed and connect the phone to PC USB simultaneously.. Start KDZ updater...

[Q] How to repair my Xperia S , seems like bricked

Hi guys ,
at first i am a noob but i want to learn
Today i decided to install custom firmware ( P.A.C v22 ) so i rooted my phone , unlocked the bootloader. Then installed recovery , got into it , did everything :
Download Rom + Latest Gapps (Links in "Downloads" section)
- Copy them to your Internal SDCard
- Reboot into Recovery
- Do a Factory Reset/Wipe data
- Wipe Cache
- Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Advanced -> Fix permissions
- Mounts and Storage -> Format /system
- Install zip from SDCard -> Choose zip from SDCard -> Choose the Rom and install
Click to collapse
And in the last step i got installation error , i panicked and rebooted phone.
Now there is only Sony logo , i can't turn off my phone , soft resets dont help , i cant even turn it off. Fastboot and flashmode dont work
Is it dead or can i still rescue it ?
If there is sony logo, then ur on safe side. Its just you have to flash stock ftf through flashtool

1.- Hold the volume up and power buttons.
2.- Once the sony logo disappears and the screen turns off immediately release the buttons.
By doing this your phone will be off.
Now it should work Flashmode and Fastboot.
Good luck

That is what i did yesterday. I left it for the night with Sony logo on because i wasnt able to turn him off in the way you said. When I woke up there was no Sony logo , i plugged it to the computer and there is red led light but i managed to get into both flash an fastboot modes so there is hope
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35096528#post35096528
I managed to mess up mine by incorrectly flashing a rom. This sorted me out. Had red light only, nothing else. Brown trousers for a few hours...
Managed to flash stock rom and everything is ok but when i try to install P.A.C there is mount error and installation is aborted.
I've read about this and the solution is installing opensemc kernel BUT i can't , because of error ( doing this by flashtool ).
**** happens like they say but i want this rom soooo badly , anyone ?

[Q] Help! LG F180L has been bricked, only google logo,no Download&recovery

HI~
could somebody helps me~
my situation-
I have LG F180L (korea version, 4.1.2)
few months ago, I flash it to 4.1.2 Taiwan version ( v10F) with KDZ updater.
it's successed!
(I backup original F180L's base-band and restore ,
some days past, I found something wrong---
* Standby-time not to long,
* i can't into download-mode & recovery
Apart of this , it works fine. (phones, SMS, WIFI...etc)
)
Few days ago, when I knew F180L release Kitkat 4.4.2 ROM (korea version v30c),
so I want to go-back to korea-version
But I can't into download-mode (volume UP&DOWN + plug USB to PC) ,
and recovery no-functional-list (it's only green-droid with triangle)
and then, I install freegee on google play store , unlock BL & install CWM 6.0.4.8 recovery
reboot into recovery (worked!), clear user-data & cache first
(no download-mode ,so I download a (universal 4.4.2 v30c) zip package on gfan web-site, and copy it to my F180L
zip-file source: bbs_gfan_com/android-7520119-1-3.html)
then install zip from SD
everything in install-process looks so good,
But ~ reboot,
only black background with white GOOGLE (6 letters) and a opened-lock icon bottom the screen
about 1second later , goes black~ no screen ,and phone still power-ON (the temperature more the more hot)
I can't power-OFF it, until run out of power...
after a day, I try to power-ON the phone , red LED flashing 3 or 4 times , and nothing happend
now~
it seems run out of power, SLEEP ~ SLEEP and SLEEP, maybe volt too low
I think it become to a brick, help me PLZ ~
-----------
When I connect/disconnect phone and PC with usb-cable, (OS : win 8)
I can heard the sound of device plug/unplug ,
but I check windows device-manager , there is no device can be find~

grand GT-I9082 home button stopped working after update cwm12.1 with philz touch

Hi , I have a grand duos GT-I9082 which was on 4.1.1 I manually rooted it some year ago , updated to 4.2 then 4.4.4 then now it is on cwm 12.1 android 5.1.1 ( pawit ) with no much problem. I tried to upgrade my friends phone (GT-I9082) which was on original 4.2.2 samsung rom.
I tried to change the recovery using odin 3.09 and "recovery-20141213-odin.tar" , the process went fine with passed and completed like this picture :

( from this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...l/how-to-return-galaxy-grand-duos-gt-t3112004 )
odin finished with success ( pass - green ) then rebooted the phone.
but when the phone rebooted , I held the ( home+vol up + power ) but instead of the new recovery it went to the original recovery. I tried flashing zip from external sd memory with original recovery area, but it could not verify the package and didn't install. so I rebooted the phone and it went to samsung 4.2.2 . so in case that odin was successful but nothing changed !
Then I tried this recovery : "philz_touch_6.19.3-i9082.tar.md5" , this time I used odin 3.04 , and it could change the recovery. then with this recovery I installed this rom file : "cm-12.1-20150703-UNOFFICIAL-i9082.zip" from this link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../rom-cm-12-1-galaxy-grand-duos-i9082-t3073108
which is working fine on my own grand.
android 5.1.1 installed and booted fine , but now I see that home button is not working anymore. even in philz touch , there is a test button function , when I press buttons even volume or touch buttons , they return the keyboard code like 138 for example , but when I press home button no code is returning.
I can only access recovery mode via advanced reboot menu of the rom on power key. but I cannot hold home button +volume up or down to access download mode to flash it with odin again.
I tried to factory reset ( format /data and /cache and delvik via philz touch ) then Installed android 4.4.4 : cm-11-20141112-UNOFFICIAL-i9082.zip , but that didn't help for home button too.
I searched and saw that there are apps for rebooting into recovery or download ( odin ) mode , and tried 4 or 5 of them but none work on cyanogenmod roms. when I select reboot into download , it reboots normally and loads the android.
even samsung test code *#0*# do not work on this cyanogenmod roms.
I am now tring to learn java development kit , to reboot the phone to recovery via command : "adb reboot download"
on my own grand 5.1.1 cm 12.1 , when i use that command from phone terminal app , it returns "device not found" . I hope jdk and adb in windows helps to reboot it into odin mode. as I cannot re-program even stock rom to use samsung kies now. because that needs booting into download mode too.
any suggestions ?:crying:

Try flashfire or mobile Odin by chainfire to flash stock ROM without going to download mode,
If you want to try by adb make sure to install USB drivers and get a working cable then go to developer option ( you can enable it by going to about phone and then clicking on build number until you get a message says that you enabled dev options ) , and enable Android debugging
Connect the mobile to laptop/PC
And then type adb reboot download
You should reboot to download mode

You might wanna check USB Jig thread. It's a device that can trigger our phone to reboot into dload/odin mode, without pushing any button.
It's just a simple device, you can even make it yourself.

the phone is not with me today , but I am wondering whether is this a software issue or a hardware issue. I hope it being a software issue as i searched and saw others had similiar problems too.
on my own grand which is now on cm12.1 pawit android 5.1.1 , I tested the adb ,

not yet , this is my own working phone , I am testing adb with it , that other phone is for my friend and it is not here currently.
even I found this link : http://zidroid.com/boot-android-devices-to-download-fastboot-recovery-mode-using-adb/
adb reboot download
adb reboot-bootloader
all of them reboot the phone normally ! there must be something related to cyanogemod , as *#0*# does not work too.
edit : this works :
adb reboot recovery
reboots the phone into cyanogen recovery. again in that recovery there is an option to reboot the phone to boot loader , when I select it , the device reboots normally into android.

Bootloader Loads Kernel then Kernel Loads the OS that is how it works
I don't not much about download mode ( i didn't read about it )
But since we don't see Samsung galaxy grand duos while booting to download i'll assume that we don't boot the bootloader to go to download mode
and that is why we can't boot to it with adb
( THAT IS AN ASSUMPTION ONLY, I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT DOWNLOAD MODE )

there must be something with this ( Pawitp ) grand rom I think, because here is another samsung galacy ace2 , which had android 2.1 , and I upgraded it to cyanogenmode 4.4.4 , I tested that phone now ,
abd reboot-bootloader : rebooted device normally.
but adb reboot download : rebooted device to download (odin) mode. like holding "vol down+power+home buttons" and the command and my adb installation is working fine.
adb reboot recovery : rebooted this phone to cwm-based recovery v6.0.5.0 . so the problem is cyanogenmod recovery that I have on my own grand.
which is installed automatically by using ( update recovery ) option. when it downloaded the update , it downloaded recovery too.

As I remember, RVR did tell something about our device that won't allow to use any shortcut/reboot bootloader/download from recovery. That's why he removed the button from reboot option. Not only from recovery, I've tried several app that trigger the reboot option, none of it works, it will only reboot normally back into system.
And as I remember, I did successfully reboot to dload mode using "adb reboot bootloader" command while on stock TW 4.2.2 ROM. But can't comment on any custom ROM as I never tried yet.
RVR did built the official TWRP for our grand.

that was not a good decision he made
here is another solution i found : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYvt2gLf3vA
bringing back the softkeys to it like the tablet and devices that do not have physical buttons. like some models of Acer tablets.
I`ll try this when I get access to that malfunctioning phone. and will let you know of the result. thanks.

Actually, it is, as the button won't work so no use of it.
Are we talking about reboot download mode or softkey? If softkey is the problem, you just need to add this line in build.prop.

the hardware home button is not returning any codes , so I thought to show software keys ( the way u also said ) so that I can hold the 3 buttons ( home + vol down+power ) to get to odin download mode , to reflash original 4.2.2 to see if home button comes back alive or not.
I think I should use triangle away first.

Realme 6 pro mount system and vendor error

I have been trying to install custom ROM in realme 6 pro. I followed a youtube tutorial and installed TWRP. Now when I try to wipe the system, it gives the error "unable to mount '/system_root' (invalid argument) and unable to mount '/vendor' (invalid argument)". I tried changing the system format from ext4 to ext2 and even used decryption zips. Nothing works. I can't even get the stock Recovery back to return to built-in ROM. I tried using the orange fox recovery but still got the same error. When I try to wipe using fastboot, it gives the error: "FAILED (remote: Check device console.)". Can someone please help?

Maybe same my device problem pls help me..
You will need to reinstall/flash the stock rom.
Then :
1)I flash TWRP with ADB/Fastboot
(2) boot into twrp recovery
(3) reboot to bootloader
(4) ADB/fastboot to flash Disable DM Varity file
(5) reboot into TWRP
(6) wipe/Format Data
(7) rebooted into recovery
(8) Advance/Fix AVB
(9) installed Magisk
(10) reboot to system
Then you will have the stock rom and have root control to debloat which will greatly improve battery usage time and unlike most custom rom everything will still be working.
IMHO using magisk with exposed module gravitybox for its custom features is smoother and quicker than any of the custom roms at this time.

IMHO using magisk with exposed module gravitybox for its custom features is smoother and quicker than any of the custom roms at this time.

I already tried reinstalling the stock ROM using TWRP and orange fox. But I am getting the same error. Can you please guide me how should I go about it?

If it is stuck in a bootloop then press and hold the power button and the volume + (not volume- like to go into fastboot) hold the buttons until the phone shuts off , logo goes away. Reboot to bootloader/fastboot then plug it into the computer running the Realme Flash tool. Also make sure you have the device drivers are installed on the computer. Then wait and give it plenty of time it takes awhile and you will feel that it is stuck at several points but just be patient and let it run.
